We are having our Ceremony + Reception at a charming indoor + outdoor wedding venue, called the Barn on New River Southfork, featuring a beautiful newer-construction post & beam style barn, stone cocktail area, pond and fountain ceremony area, dahlia garden, old hay barn, and a view of the New River in West Jefferson (Ashe County), North Carolina. The Barn on New River Southfork has over 100 private acres in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, known as the 'High Country', and is a lovely outdoor setting in the fall. You may be more familiar with nearby Boone, which is also a place we recommend our guests check out for lodging.

We have been finding many diverse lodging options still available in West Jefferson and Boone (as of 04July24).

The event will be held both indoors and outdoors.

The ceremony will be held outside, dinner will be in an open-door barn, and dancing will be outside. There is a secondary barn patio area on the property that is completely outdoors. Dress accordingly!

On October 6, the temperature in West Jefferson typically ranges from 50°F to 64°F and is rarely below 39°F or above 73°F. We are calling the event "dressy casual". Our style will be somewhat eclectic - think of a bouquet of assorted flowers, but the overall colors are orange/terracotta & champagne/gold.

Gifts are not requested, but if you are so inclined, we are accepting cards with small monetary contributions towards our honeymoon... and for gift ideas please visit our registry.
