How do I get to Traverse City?

For the majority of guests coming from the metro Detroit area, it is a 3.5-4 hour drive to get up north. If you are coming from out of town, the main option is to fly into Detroit's airport (DTW), and then rent a car. Traverse City does have the Cherry Capital Airport (TVC), which does offer 20 non-stop flights, but availability varies.

OTHER LODGING OPTIONS

We know that everyone travels differently, so consider these other options for finding a place to stay.

1. Downtown Traverse City hotels. Traverse city has a wide range of hotels from affordable to luxurious. Feel free to stay where you like. However, you will have to stay at the Courtyard Marriott or Tru Hilton to use the shuttle.

2. AirBNB also has a lot of listings for the Traverse City (TC) area. We recommend staying in TC or to search for Grawn, MI if you want to be close to the reception venue.

3. VRBO is a great resource. Just be sure to check the distance from the wedding or reception.
