Our fabulous fixer-upper on the east side of the island of Hawaii where it rains over 270 inches per year. True story. We've been working on our off-grid homestead for the past year+ and hope to be in "maintenance mode" in another year or so. I've been painting and working on the composting toilet/shower with the help of my nephew River. Dave has been building chicken coops and rebuilding the deck - to mention a few projects. Next we'll plant more edible fruit trees and get back to our overgrown garden. This is the "before" photo. We're still working on the "after" photo. We'd love to have all our family and friends come visit!
