BOOK EARLY!

Montana is a busy place in the summer so we encourage you to reserve your accommodations and arrange your travel plans well in advance. The series "Yellowstone" was filmed just outside of Darby so it is an especially popular destination these days. The wedding ceremony will be held at the Como Schoolhouse and the reception at the Darby Community Clubhouse. The Como Schoolhouse is near Darby and the Clubhouse is right in the town center.

FLYING:

For those of you not familiar with this neck of the woods, the nearest airport is the Missoula Montana Airport (MSO). Darby is about an hour an a half, or 68 miles, from the Missoula airport. Renting a car would be the best option if you fly.

DRIVING:

From Missoula, you'll head south into the Bitterroot Valley towards Darby. It takes approximately an hour and half to reach Darby.

CAMPING/RV:

If you're in the mood to camp, Lake Como has beautiful tent camping sites and RV spots. They don't allow reservations; it is first come first serve. We recommend arriving early to find a spot. The campgrounds below are both at Lake Como. There are no showers at the campgrounds but you can go to Traveller's Rest Cabins & RV Park in Darby and pay $10 to shower there. Darby is about 20 minutes from Lake Como depending on where you are at the lake.

LODGING:

Traveller's Rest Cabins & RV Park is a cute place right in Darby. You can contact Libbie who owns the place with her husband and she can help you reserve your space. Mention the Martin/Jivanti wedding. They have cabins, RV sites, and glamping tents. This place was recently updated and is cute and affordable.

Of course there are other options such as Airbnb, VRBO, and hotels. The Darmont Inn Hotel & Suites is another hotel in Darby.

SHUTTLE SERVICE:

Bitterroot Rides based in Hamilton offers shuttle service. For example, if you need a lift from Lake Como to Darby, it is $50. A shuttle from the Missoula airport to Darby is $170.
