Labyrinth Walk & Hot Springs
The Redsun Labyrinth is a walking meditation available to the public. A great way to start the day. The labyrinth is an easy walk in a beautiful setting. Plan on a short uphill walk to get to the labyrinth.
After the labyrinth walk, anyone who's interested can head to the family friendly, Lolo Hot Springs Resort. This is a rustic, low-key local place that is great for kids or if you just want an easy soak. They have a hot springs soaking pool and a larger swimming pool. Last we checked, it was $15 for adults and $12 for kids.
For those who want to experience natural hot springs, and don't mind driving further, we'll continue to Weir Creek Hot Springs after the labyrinth walk. The hike to Weir is about a mile and a half hike, round trip. The trail is a bit rough so plan accordingly. It follows Weir Creek upstream, with some narrow and rocky sections and a few small creek crossings. Clothing optional hot springs.
WE'LL MEET AT Big Creek Coffee Roasters IN HAMILTON AT 8:30 A.M. We can grab a coffee and then carpool/caravan to the labyrinth. From there, some folks may want to head off and do their own thing, some to Lolo Hot Springs, and some to Weir Creek Hot Springs. These destinations are some of my favorite places, but are spread out, so plan accordingly for a long drive. You may want to bring food and beverages depending on which option you choose for your day. Lolo Hot Springs has a restaurant as well.

Lake Como Day
Hiking * Beach * Fishing
Start the day with a walk to the falls at Lake Como. It is a great trail for everyone because the first 1/4 mile is paved and flat. If you continue to the falls it is about 6 miles roundtrip so you may want your hiking boots. It is a single track trail with some areas where you're traversing scree. MEET AT THE Lake Como National Recreation Trailhead AT 10:30 A.M. Your fearless hike leader will meet you there and show you the way.
Perhaps you'd rather just kick back at the lakeside beach area or take a swim in the chilly lake.
Fishing at the lake is another great option. Especially because the weekend of the wedding is Father's Day weekend which means residents and non-residents may fish without a fishing license. Bring your pole!
Some of us will be setting up for the wedding, but once we're done we hope to come and join you!
Other than the hike at 10:30 a.m, there is no schedule for this day so feel free to come and go as you like. The lake is a lovely place to visit so we wanted to highlight it as an option.
A few things to keep in mind. Parking passes are required and are $5 per day. Parking passes can be purchased at the kiosks at the lake. Click here for directions to the beach area and to the hike starting at the Lake Como National Recreation Trailhead. There is no cell service at Lake Como. Therefore, check driving directions prior to departing.
SATURDAY, JUNE 14
