What are the major airports in Spain?:
Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport (MAD). Barcelona International Airport (BCN). Valencia Airport (VLC). Seville Airport (SVQ). Bilbao Airport (BIO).
Travel Reminder:
For our guests flying into Madrid-Barajas (MAD) or Barcelona-El Prat (BCN) airports, we recommend allowing plenty of time for layovers. The terminals at both airports are quite spread out, and transfers can take longer than expected. ** To ensure a smooth journey, we don’t recommend layovers shorter than 2 hours.** Thank you for planning ahead—we can’t wait to see you soon!
Are there other ways to get to Avilés aside from planes?:
Whilst there are flights from major airports to Asturias, there are also train and bus options. The train and bus station is less than a 10 minute walk from the hotel.
Depending on layover wait times, a train/bus might even be a more efficient option! Of course renting a car and driving is also up to you!
Train vs. Bus: While the train is an option, the bus may be the easiest and most convenient alternative, as the bus station is attached to the airport. The bus station is directly attached to the airport, so there's no need to leave the airport or venture into the city to find a train or deal with transfers. Simply head downstairs to the bus area, and you'll find a direct route to Avilés.
