In Avilés:

1. Cultural Center Oscar Niemeyer: Enjoy art exhibitions, concerts, and events in this iconic modern architectural landmark.


2. Old Town (Casco Antiguo): Walk through the historic streets and admire charming squares like Plaza España and historic buildings like Palacio de Valdecarzana.


3. Calle Galiana: Stroll along this picturesque street with traditional arcades and enjoy its cafés and restaurants.


4. Parque de Ferrera: Relax in this large, beautiful park located near the Old Town.


5. Sabugo Neighborhood: Discover Avilés’ historic fishing district with its narrow streets and quaint atmosphere.

6. Salinas Beach (10 mins): Perfect for surfing, long walks, or enjoying the views.


7. San Juan de Nieva: A quieter spot near the estuary, ideal for nature lovers.

Day Trips in Asturias:

8. Gijón (30 mins): Stroll along the San Lorenzo Beach promenade. Explore Cimavilla, the historic old quarter. Visit the Laboral Ciudad de la Cultura and the Botanical Garden.

13. Somiedo Natural Park (1.5 hours): A UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, ideal for hiking, wildlife spotting, and enjoying traditional teito-roofed huts.


14. Picos de Europa National Park (2 hours): Visit Covadonga and its Basilica. Hike around the Lagos de Covadonga. Ride the cable car at Fuente Dé for breathtaking mountain views.


15. Villaviciosa (40 mins): Tour cider factories, such as El Gaitero, and enjoy the scenic Ría de Villaviciosa Nature Reserve.
