We are monitoring the impacts of COVID-19 and how they may affect our wedding day. Please check back on our website frequently for any updates. We will post any new information as it comes to us in the "COVID-19" section.
While we want nothing more than to celebrate with all of the people we love, we understand that many people may not choose to attend due to what is currently going on with the corona virus. We are closely paying attention to the restrictions in Summit County and we are in constant contact with our coordinator to get updates on any changes that are happening. We will be as transparent as possible so that you can make the best decision for you and your family.
As we get closer to our wedding date, if things with the virus do not improve and we are under restrictions for our wedding day or need to cancel, we will notify everyone ASAP. As of now, we are keeping our fingers crossed and moving forward with our wedding plans under the premise that things will be "normal" by then. We will continue to post updates here as anything changes.
Last update for the one week countdown!
Even though the number of delta variant cases has been on the rise everywhere, Summit County is still operating without most previous covid restrictions. There have been no incidences of hospitalizations, deaths, or outbreaks of covid within Summit County and ~80% of Summit County residents have been fully vaccinated.
Masks are NOT required for our wedding, but you are obviously more than welcome to wear one if that makes you feel more comfortable! Our ceremony/cocktail hour are scheduled to take place outside, however our reception will be held inside the lodge. There will be plenty of tables set up outside of the lodge as well which you are more than welcome to take your dinner to if you'd like to eat outside (just be aware it will be chilly, so be prepared for that if that's what you'd like to do). There will be less than 100 people in attendance at our wedding, so everyone will have plenty of space to move around and keep distance as much as you personally feel necessary. We want everyone to be able to enjoy themselves in whatever way they are comfortable. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any additional questions.
THE BEST UPDATE SO FAR!!
We just received confirmation today that ALL RESTRICTIONS have officially been lifted in the state/county! NO masks, NO social distancing, NO guest count restrictions! We hope everyone is ready to let loose and party hard after the crazy year and a half we've all had. Can't wait to see everyone there!
As of today, Summit County is officially in a "Level Green" status! Unfortunately, the county is still following 6ft distancing rules for indoor events and 3ft distancing rules for outdoor events. Because of this, we are still slightly limited in our overall guest count due to what the venue can actually hold with the social distancing guidelines. At this time, we have no idea if masks will still be mandated for our wedding. Will update as soon as we know more on that.
As the numbers continue to change, the social distancing restrictions may be loosened or go away. Until then and until we have enough RSVP responses to have a better idea of our overall guest count, we are trying to be more conservative for now. If we did not give you a plus 1 on your RSVP, we hope you can understand why. This is definitely not ideal and we of course want everyone who comes to have a great time and not feel isolated. We can revisit this once we have a better idea on the numbers. Please reach out to us if this is something you'd like to discuss!
Summit County's covid numbers have started to spike again, likely due to spring break. They are starting to decline again compared to the last couple weeks, but Summit County has been moved back into a level orange status. HOWEVER, the governor announced that Colorado's "covid dial system" will be expiring on April 16th. This will give local officials more control over how they choose to regulate their regions.
Summit County officials are working on their own plan to transition into reopening. The plan is to place more focus on number of hospitalizations as opposed to total number of cases when it comes to local restrictions, which is great news considering that hospitalizations have continued to be steady or declining with decreasing numbers of serious illness reported.
Summit county is on track to have 75% of residents fully vaccinated by end of May. With all of this information, we are still feeling confident that everything will be smooth sailing come time for our wedding!
This article was posted 2 days ago and gives more information on the plans for repopening Summit County moving forward:
The future seems bright and the numbers are trending in the right direction! Colorado officials have announced that current projections indicate that events in Colorado could be held at up to 80% capacity by July 1st!
Summit County has moved down from a status of level orange to level yellow, and the majority of the state is currently even lower in a level blue.
