There are two "major" airports to fly into, PWM (Portland, Maine) and BGR (Bangor, Maine).

Bangor is the closest airport at 90 minutes away. It is a small airport and we would recommend booking your flight into Bangor around March/April to ensure you have the flight of your choice. There is a hotel attached to the airport and a few rental car places near by.

Portland is a much bigger airport and flights are usually more accessible and cheaper, but it is a three hour drive to Bar Harbor. Portland is the biggest city in Maine and there is lots to explore before heading up the coast.

The Augusta airport is about halfway between Portland and Bar Harbor, but flights are very limited and we've never flown through there.

We are working on getting a block of rooms, but some hotels are starting to book up for that weekend. The wedding venue is on West Street in Bar Harbor and some hotels are walking distance. There are hotels at various price points. There are also camp/glamp grounds and plenty of Airbnbs in the area. Bed and Breakfasts are fun places to stay.

Ellsworth is a small town on the way to Bar Harbor. It's about a 30 minute drive. There are more chain hotels in Bangor, including attached to the airport, but that's about a 1.5 hour drive.

We will update this page with hotel block information as soon as possible. There are some discounted rates here that are not part of a hotel block. Double check the town before you book, as some of these listed are more than an hour away.
