North Lake is nestled in the wilderness and has more of a private, mountain town feel to it. You will find some of the most luxurious homes are located here (check out Incline Village!). South Lake is a more popular tourist destination and is known for its casinos, nightlife, and shops. Both are beautiful and have a lot to offer! Our favorite part of Tahoe, however, is the East Shore, home to some of the most secluded, majestic coves and crystal clear water.

If driving from Reno, we recommend taking I-80 to Truckee followed by Route 89. Alternate routes have a good amount of winding, curvy roads. If your flight arrives late Thursday evening, we suggest spending the night in Reno and driving up to Tahoe in the daylight.

Tahoe weather can be unpredictable, but at this time of year, expect daily highs in the mid to upper 70s °F, with evening and morning temperatures in the upper 30s °F. You can go from wearing a T-shirt and shorts during the day to a warm coat and pants at night. We suggest bringing layers!

If you are not staying at Everline, please plan to arrive ~3:30 PM. You can hangout in the lobby prior to heading down to the golf course for the ceremony.

Yes, Uber and Lyft are active in the summertime in Tahoe but expect longer wait times and fewer drivers compared to a big city. Consider scheduling your rides ahead of time. There is also a local service called TART Connect that is free and works like Uber.

If you are staying at the hotel, there is a $30 overnight parking fee per night. There will be a flat $25 fee for non-hotel guests the day of the wedding.

There is limited parking at the restaurant itself, so we recommend parking at the Boatworks Mall lot or in front of Coffee Connexion (shown in the map below). Once you find a spot, follow the dashed green line to access the walking path along the water which will lead you right to Za's Lakefront! It is about a 6 minute walk from the Coffee Connexion lot to Za's. Alternatively, you can take the local bus or an Uber/Lyft.

Developing symptoms of altitude sickness at elevations around 6000 feet are fairly rare and usually mild, with more severe incidences occurring at elevations of 8000 plus feet. However, every body responds differently to a change in altitude and the following tips may help: (1) Hydration is key. Drink extra fluids before and during your trip. Bring liquid IV! (2) Take time to acclimate and get used to the elevation. Even if you're an avid skier or hiker, don't overdo it on your first day and take breaks.
