What should I wear?

Cocktail attire suggested, but wear what you're comfortable in! Don't buy something only to wear it once and let it sit in the closet. Some suggestions are pantsuits, midi dresses, suit and tie, short evening dresses, or anything that will keep you on the dance floor all night!

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Buffalo weather is pretty finnicky, but be prepared for cool temperatures, wind, and rain. There is the occasional sunny--or snowy--day, so be ready for anything. Average temperatures for our date are in the 40s-50s.

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

The full days events will be hosted at Maison Albion, a beautiful 1800s French Manor located in Albion, NY. We will have access to the whole property, so we plan to have the ceremony on the covered outdoor patio, but if the weather does not allow, we will spend much of the day inside the ballroom, dining room, and sitting rooms inside.

What happens after the ceremony?

The bridal party will be taking photos on the grounds for about an hour. The space is yours to explore! There will be games in the sitting room, snacks and beverages to enjoy, and good company to be had. I recommend bringing a warm jacket and shoes so that you can explore some of the outdoor gardens or swing by the pond if you so desire. They are beautiful!

What should I do if I can't make it?

You will be missed! We understand that for many of our guests it is a difficult travel commitment due to the distance, and in a pandemic there are many factors to consider. We will be livestreaming the ceremony for anyone interested to join our day virtually. We are also considering an additional small reception in Yakima after we return from our honeymoon (likely in January) based on interest. We will keep you posted! Either way, please let us know you will not be attending so we can plan accordingly. You can easily RSVP at anytime on the website.

Can I bring a date?

Unfortunately, due to venue capacity, we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. We are looking forward to spending time with each of our guests and have made the guest list to ensure you will know someone else you can spend time with.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes! The spaces where the ceremony and dinner will be held are completely accessible. Unfortunately, there are some parts of the space that are upstairs, so you will not be able to tour the whole venue by wheelchair. If you are concerned--let us know! We will do our best to work with you to ensure you have the best experience.

Will there be food? Can you accommodate my diet?

Yes and yes! We will provide snacks/appetizers, dinner, and plenty of sweets. Let us know what your diet is on our RSVP form, and we will make sure we have plenty for you to eat. There will also be beer, wine, and seltzers as well as a variety of soft drinks and water.
