Bienvenue en France! We expect our guest to be exhausted after their flight, so we have left the day mostly free to unpack and nap out the jetlag. We will be planning our day around picking up guests from the airport so be sure to coordinate with us if you need a ride! The Maton's will most likely be busy shuttling guests or making arrangements for the next day until the later afternoon so, if possible, grab lunch at the airport. Regardless, no one is going hungry on this trip.

Pre Rehersal
Guests are welcome to sleep/unpack in their rooms, explore the area, or mingle with the arriving guests. We will have refreshments available, but no formal meals until dinner.

Dinner at Restaurant du Commerce
We will be doing dinner all together in a small local restaurant in Bruges. It is spitting distance from the Maton's house so feel free to come and continue the celebration there after dinner.

Lunch
We will be splitting into small groups for lunch. As there is nothing planned until 3pm guests would be able to drive into Nay (a small city 10-15 mins away) and grab groceries instead of eating out.

Ceremony
The moment we've all been waiting for!! The ceremony will be held in an old historic church in a neighboring village. We are planning to keep the ceremony short and sweet. It will be in French, but we have prepared brochures translating the mass. We ask to please refrain from taking pictures and videos during the ceremony. We have a wonderful photographer who will be sharing her photos at the end.

Photos
We will be taking individual and group photos together immediately after the ceremony. One of our guests, Gwen, is an amazing photographer. She might not have time to take pictures of everyone, so we invite people to take photos on their own as well. We are so looking forward to seeing everyone's photos. We'd love if everyone texted or emailed their photos/videos to us after the wedding. This way we can upload them on the website for everyone to enjoy!

Group Dinner
We will be dining at a local restaurant that the Maton's have held family reunions in. It is a small unpretentious restaurant that serves authentic local food. We have arranged for vegetarian, gluten free, and unadventurous options. Save room for dessert though!

Reception
An intimate reception with loads of champagne and small deserts. We will be doing toasts and playing a few wedding games. We invite you to send in song recommendations. There will not be a DJ or a true dance floor but weather permitting there will be room to dance. We want this night to be as memorable as possible so feel free to send us any ideas you have for the reception.

Biarritz Excursion in small groups
We will need to drive over there in small groups but we can meet up in larger groups if desired.
Guests will find a lunch spot on their own. It is a decent sized city so there will be plenty of exciting restaurants to choose from on every corner.
We have tentatively chosen Biarritz for the excursion, but it might switch to a slightly closer beach town. This will be confirmed or updated closer to the date.

Post Dinner Mingling
After dinner guest scan come back to one of the houses and "digest" their dinner with a nice glass wine or Cognac and recount their experiences of the day. We might play a few games and guests who leave the next morning can say their goodbyes.
