FAQs

Are kids invited to the wedding?

We love your kids - really, we do. AND...we want to celebrate this evening dancing the night away with YOU. Only children of immediate family members and nursing children (under a year) will be invited. If you are traveling with your children so you can make a trip out of the weekend (highly encouraged!), but you need child care for the night of the wedding, please let McKenna know! If you have questions about whether your child can attend - please reach out to McKenna.

How do I know if I have a +1?

Invitations will include the names of all invited parties or will clarify a +1. Due to capacity limitations, please only bring those that are invited and RSVP'd for. If you believe there is an error on your invitation, please reach out to McKenna!

What airport do I fly in to? How do I get from the airport to Fort Collins?

Denver International Airport is the largest and most popular place to fly in to! It is about 1-1.5 hours from Fort Collins. There are plenty of rental car places nearby, you can check out Turo for a cheaper rental, or there is a shuttle from DIA to Fort Collins (Groome Transportation)! Uber and Lyft both operate in town, so you can easily get around here. Cheyenne Airport is closer, but smaller!

Where should we stay?

Please visit the "Travel" tab at the top for more information about the hotel and Airbnb/Vrbo options!

What does "Colorado Formal" mean for attire?

Here in Colorado we are a bit more...chill(?)...than most! We want everybody to be comfortable at our wedding, so truly are fine with whatever you wear. But, the decor, season, and vibes will lend themselves to being a bit more dressy casual or summer/garden attire!

What type of weather should we expect?

Literally who knows! August in Colorado can be anywhere between 70-100 degrees (we are hoping for somewhere in between!). But, since we do not have humidity here, it will get cooler when the sun goes down (don't tell Kenny Chesney)! The ceremony will be outdoors and possibly in the sun - plan accordingly :)

What should I expect with the elevation?

Elevation in Colorado is a real thing! If you are not used to it, you'll likely feel it the first day or so. Drink a LOT of water and don't push yourself too hard until you feel acclimated. You may get headaches, feel short of breath, or feel dizzy. ELEVATION DOES IMPACT ALCOHOL TOLERANCE! You will feel its effects more quickly, so please be cognizant of this!
