On November 7, 2015, Mike asked Kristy to be his girlfriend under the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor ON.
And then our story began.
December 11, 2015
We met working in AIESEC, an international non-profit, in our second year of undergrad. This was our first gala together as a couple and when we (gasp) became instagram official.

Our first trip together was during a conference in British Columbia. We realized we were compatible travel buddies!

We learned that both of us loved skiing and winter sports, so of course, we couldn't miss Whistler. We began to realize we liked a lot of the same things, even though Mike was just a 'small town boy' and Kristy was just a 'city girl'.

Our friend asked to photograph us for their portfolio. It was just a simple photoshoot in Windsor but it made us so happy that they thought we were cute.

Being long distance, there were a lot of phone and video calls since one of us went to Queen's in Kingston and the other went to school in Windsor. It would take almost ten hours from door to door to see each other. Shout out to the Via Rail and their semester passes.

They say don't go chasing waterfalls, but we did and found out that waterfalls are quite cold and a little painful. But Kristy still liked the cottage life Mike introduced her to. (Manitoulin Island)

In September 2018, we finally closed the gap and moved in together in Toronto where Kristy slowly lost years of her life in law school and Mike sold his soul on Bay Street. (Law Ball in 1L at U of T)

We decided to level up in life and become each other's roommates. So we signed a lease together! For the first time ever, we would be making our home — together.

With her engagement ring in hand (the one ring), their first destinations was an easy 20 km vertical hike with elevation changes of 2,300 meters that took the couple 6 hours to climb Mount Doom (Much faster than Frodo and Sam in the LOTR).
