Our journey together began in April 2024 on Hinge, where we quickly discovered that there was something uniquely special between us. Our connection felt effortless and easy from the start, and it didn’t take long for us to realize that this was more than just a casual chat—it was the beginning of something much bigger.

Our first date was far from traditional—but it was us. Alexus had a tattoo appointment, and instead of a typical dinner or coffee date, she invited Nicholas to join her. It was a little unconventional, but Nicholas was a trooper and stuck with it the whole time, making me laugh and keeping me company while I got inked. Afterward, we went out and talked for hours, just enjoying each other’s company and discovering how much we had in common. We stayed up all night—literally. We closed down the bar, then ended up at Waffle House for a late-night snack, still chatting away. We didn’t get home until 3:30 AM, and by then, we both knew that this was just the beginning of something amazing.

Over the next few months, we continued to share moments like this—unexpected, fun, and filled with genuine connection. It was clear from the start that we were meant to be. From our very first week together, we knew we were building something real and lasting.

On December 15, 2024, our 8-month anniversary, Nicholas took me back to a very special place—Tucson Botanical Gardens, the site of our first date after we became official. As we wandered through the beautiful lights, Nicholas stopped underneath my favorite color of lights and, with a smile, reminisced about our journey so far—how we met, how quickly we connected, and everything that had brought us to this exact moment. Without missing a beat, he got down on one knee and proposed, and I said yes without a second thought. It was spontaneous and perfect, just like everything about us.

As we look back on our journey, we are so grateful for every unconventional moment that led us here and are so excited to get to share it with our closest friends and family. Our love has always been about being true to who we are, and we can’t wait to continue this adventure together, hand in hand, forever.
