Q + A

1. What time does the ceremony start?

The ceremony will begin at 5:00 PM on Saturday, June 21, 2025. Please arrive a little early to settle in and enjoy the beautiful outdoor setting before the ceremony starts!

2. What is the dress code?

We ask guests to wear Black Tie formal evening attire in dark, rich, and moody tones to complement our gothic wedding. Tuxedos, two-piece suites, evening gowns, and dressy cocktail dresses in those rich, jewel tones will complement the elegant atmosphere perfectly. Think black, deep purples, burgundy, dark blues, and charcoal greys—the darker, the better! We want to create an elegant, mysterious ambiance, but please note that the specific colors of emerald green, burgundy/cabernet, and deep purple are reserved for the bridal party and immediate family members. So, we kindly ask that guests avoid those colors in their attire to keep things cohesive. Since the event will be outdoors, please consider the desert climate when selecting your outfit. Light, breathable fabrics are recommended, and it’s always a good idea to bring a light jacket or shawl for the cooler evening temperatures.

3. Where is the wedding venue?

The wedding will take place at Kingan Gardens, an enchanting outdoor venue located in Tucson, AZ. The ceremony and reception will be held in the gardens, surrounded by beautiful desert scenery. While the celebration will primarily be outdoors, there will be an indoor sitting room available for guests who want to step inside and cool off for a bit.

4. Will there be food and drinks?

Yes! A cocktail hour will follow the ceremony, and we’ll be serving a delicious dinner. If you have any dietary restrictions, please be sure to note them when you RSVP, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

5. Can I bring a plus one?

We’d love for you to bring a guest! Please check your invitation for details on whether your invite includes a plus one. If you're unsure, feel free to reach out, and we’ll confirm.

6. What is the weather like in Tucson in June?

Tucson in June can be quite warm during the day, with temperatures averaging around 90-100°F. Since our ceremony and reception will be outdoors, we recommend dressing in light, breathable fabrics and wearing sunscreen. As the evening cools down, the temperature should drop into the 70s, so bringing a light jacket or shawl is a good idea

7. Where can I stay in Tucson?

For those traveling to Tucson, there are a number of wonderful hotels nearby to help make your stay comfortable and convenient. Here are a few options: The JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa – A luxurious resort offering stunning views, a world-class spa, and beautiful pools. It's perfect for a relaxing retreat after the celebration. The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa – Elegant accommodations with breathtaking desert views, multiple dining options, and a beautiful golf course. Hotel McCoy – A quirky, retro-style boutique hotel with a fun, laid-back vibe. Ideal for those looking for a more unique and affordable stay. The Arizona Inn – A charming, historic property with beautiful gardens and an old-school, refined atmosphere. A perfect choice for those seeking classic elegance. We recommend booking early, as accommodations can fill up quickly around our wedding date. For more options and booking details, please visit our Accommodations page.

8. Are kids invited?

Yes! We would love for you to bring your little ones and celebrate with us. We understand that getting a babysitter can be a hassle and an added expense, so we don’t want that to be a barrier for you to attend. Please feel free to bring your kids—just let us know when you RSVP so we can plan accordingly. We’ll have plenty of yard games and other fun activities to keep everyone entertained, ensuring that both adults and kids have a great time!

9. How do I RSVP?

Please RSVP by May 10, 2025. You can RSVP directly through our wedding website or by sending back the response card included with your invitation. We can’t wait to celebrate with you, so don’t forget to let us know if you’ll be able to join us!

10. Is there a registry?

Yes! We’ve created a registry for those who would like to give a gift. You can find all the details on our Registry page. Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for, but if you’d like to contribute, we truly appreciate your generosity.

11. What are the best transportation options?

If you’re flying into Tucson, Tucson International Airport (TUS) is the closest airport to the venue. We recommend renting a car, but rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are also available. For local guests, carpooling is always a great option to reduce your carbon footprint!

12. Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos during the ceremony so we can all fully enjoy the moment. There will be a professional photographer and cinematographer capturing all the special moments, and we’ll be sure to share those beautiful photos with you afterward! Feel free to take all the photos you’d like during the reception!
