The Shop DSM Event Center is proudly owned and operated by firefighters of IAFF4 Local 4 and their families. For over 77 years, this space was used as the Des Moines Fire Department maintenance and repair shop. It has now been transformed into a unique three-level venue, with a rooftop terrace, ground level, and bar-like basement.
Where to park
The Shop DSM is located in downtown Des Moines on 9th and Cherry St. There is a parking garage across the street at 8th and Mulberry that is $1 per hour and $10 to leave your car overnight. There is also a large parking lot a block away on 8th and Cherry, which is free, but you cannot leave your car there overnight. If you choose to stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Des Moines Downtown, there is a complimentary shuttle for guests.
