Our Wedding

Nick and Gabby met in September 2021 with the help of a mutual friend. They soon learned they shared many interests, such as biking, art, music, travel and spending time outdoors. It was only a short time until they fell in love and spent as much time together as possible. Despite being a self-described "not a dog person," Gabby also fell in love with Nick's dog, Bellatrix. Together, they explored Iowa, the US and the United Kingdom. Their biggest adventure, however, has been renovating their Urbandale home. Nick and Gabby are eager for you to join them on October 5, the start of their next journey.

The Shop DSM Event Center is proudly owned and operated by firefighters of IAFF4 Local 4 and their families. For over 77 years, this space was used as the Des Moines Fire Department maintenance and repair shop. It has now been transformed into a unique three-level venue, with a rooftop terrace, ground level, and bar-like basement.
