Tom was born and raised on a plant nursery in Miami, Florida. I was born and raised in Morrisville, North Carolina surrounded by numerous pets and gardens.

Tom went to University of Miami with a full scholarship to study Computer Engineering. I went to University of North Carolina to pursue a double major in Biology and Psychology and become a doctor. We both scored Software Engineering internships at Microsoft in Redmond, WA for the summers of 2012 and 2013.

Tom and I first met at a Memorial Day BBQ hosted by a few other interns at a Bellevue apartment pool in the summer of 2013. I asked Tom where he got the hotdog. We pretend like that wasn't really our first interaction! We locked eyes at the end of the party when a friend passed by and asked if I was going to the intern video game meet up that summer. Tom and I connected over our shared interest in the same game, embarrassingly a game called League of Legends. Tom drove me home one day I needed a ride from that video game meet up. I told him I would pay him for the ride with lunch the next day, mainly so I could see him again, and the rest is history.

We were long distance partners my senior year and Tom's Masters year of college while I worked very hard to find a job in Seattle. I visited Tom a few times in Miami, FL, where he found the time to show me that Disney World is the happiest place in the world!

When I got an Amazon offer, it was the best day of my life until Tom proposed three years later on December 24 2017 in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. We hope you enjoy our wedding.
