The below itinerary is meant to serve as a useful planning tool for those traveling into the Austin area for the weekend. With many attractions currently closed to the Public, it is still possible to have a fun trip to the Austin area.

Please call all locations and check if reservations are required prior to attending any locations! Many places have capacity restrictions and are limiting guests that do not have a reservation.

Only items in bold with an asterisk (*) are official wedding events with the bride and groom present. All other activities are suggestions only.

4 PM: Check-in to Sleep Inn in Dripping Springs

6 PM: Head to Salt Lick Cellars for a bottle of wine, before walking over to Salt Lick BBQ to experience BBQ like a Texan. Salt Lick is BYOB, so prepare in advance to bring your beverages

10 AM - 2 PM: Explore Dripping Springs.

Option 1: Stop at Mazama Coffee in Dripping Springs. Head to Perdernales Falls State Park for a hike (make reservations on the Texas State Park website), then stop at Texas Hill Country Olive Oil Co. for a light bite and beautiful views.
Option 2: Enjoy breakfast at Rolling in Thyme and Dough. Then head for an afternoon wine tasting at Fall Creek Vineyards
Option 3: Spend the day relaxing at the lake. First, stop at Summer Moon Coffee in Dripping Springs on your drive. Then head to Lakeway City Park to enjoy two-miles of easy trails or just sit and enjoy your coffee. Then head to the Oasis Restaurant for lunch with amazing views.

2 PM - 5 PM: Head back to the hotel to prepare for the wedding

5:30 PM: Ceremony* begins at Canyonwood Ridge (Official Wedding Event)

11 PM: Wedding send off* (Official Wedding Event)

11 AM: Check-out from Sleep Inn and Suites. Head to downtown Austin.
(Note: If you plan to take a COVID test prior to returning, the Total Men's Dripping Springs Location offers 15-minute rapid testing with same-day appointments avaialble and is directly on the driving route. More information on our latest update here)

12 PM: Check in to Fairmont Austin. Relax and head to the bar for a drink or a light lunch

2 PM - 6 PM: Post-wedding celebration happy hour* on the 7th Floor Terrace at the Fairmont. Light apps provided. Unhosted bar available. (Official wedding event)

7 PM: Nearby dinner spots: Moonshine, Stella San Jac, Cooper’s Old Time Bbq, Gloria’s, Taverna

9 AM: Head outdoors
Option 1: Walk to Jo's Coffee and then start your walk along the Roy and Ann Butler bike trail by heading towards the lake. The whole trail is over ten miles long, so be prepared to turnaround at some point.
Option 2: Reserve a kayak or paddle board rental from South Congress Kayaks and enjoy your morning on Lady Bird Lake.
Option 3: Enjoy brunch at Cru, Stella San Jac, Geraldine's, or Vera Cruz (takeout only) downtown. Or head to South Congress Avenue for brunch at Cafe No Se or Perla's followed by strolling through the local shops.

12 PM - 5 PM: Relax and lounge at the Fairmont Pool*. Come and go event open to hotel guests only. (Unhosted wedding event)

6 PM: Head to P6 to grab a table on the patio with a view of the South Congress Bridge. You may get to see the 1.5 million bats that come out at sunset each evening. Stay for dinner or try another recommended restaurant in the Austin area
