Austin and Nicole first met at TCU in Fort Worth through mutual friends.&nbsp; Austin and a couple of other guys were going up to Forth Worth for the weekend to see what those Horned Frogs were all about.&nbsp; Zach, Austin's good friend and Best Man, knew a friend from high school, Lydia, who was going to TCU at the time and the plan was to meet up with her when they got to Fort Worth.&nbsp; Of all the people Lydia could have&nbsp;invited to hang out with them that weekend, she invited Nicole.&nbsp; Austin and company were only up there for less than 48 hours, but there was a spark between Nicole and&nbsp; Austin that distance wasn't going to be able to put out.&nbsp;

They stayed in touch after Austin left to go back to Aggieland until the opportunity presented itself to get Nicole down to College Station.&nbsp; The Aggies were undefeated in football and were getting ready to play their biggest game of the season against Alabama.&nbsp; Naturally, Austin thought this was the perfect time to get Nicole down to A&M to show off that maroon and white.&nbsp; Nicole and some friends came down for the game and, regardless of the game's outcome, had another incredible weekend.





They stayed in touch over the next couple months and made time to visit each other until Austin finally got the nerve to ask Nicole to be his girlfriend.&nbsp;&nbsp;







After graduation, since living in the same city would have&nbsp;been too easy, Nicole moved up to Dallas and Austin floated between College Station and Austin.&nbsp; Making trips to see each other every other weekend, they were able to overcome distance until they finally moved to the same city in the beginning of 2018.&nbsp;&nbsp;







Austin invited Nicole out for a date to Hawk's Shadow Winery in Dripping Springs on November 3rd, 2018.&nbsp; Unbeknownst to Nicole, Austin was going to pop the question and had invited all of their close friends and family for a surprise get together after Nicole (hopefully) said yes.





Luckily for him, she said yes and there's no turning back now!&nbsp;&nbsp;

We are excited to let everyone know that with only 45 days until Wedding Attempt #2, it is time to RSVP for the Luongo/Streifert Wedding!

RSVP: We understand that the situation is constantly evolving by the day, but we also want to give enough notice for everyone to make accommodations and plans as needed. Precautions: Everyone staying safe and healthy is our number one priority and we understand that many are unable to travel during these times. Austin and I know that you all will be sharing your love with us from near and far. However, in case any of the below COVID precautions may factor into your decision process, we do want to share the following steps that our venue is taking:

 



-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Seating / social distancing: All seating at the ceremony and reception will be assigned by household / carpool. Distance between households in all seating assignments will be 6 feet.

 



-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Masks required indoors: Per Texas law, all guests will be required to wear masks when indoors when not seated in their assigned seats. 

 



-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Temperature checks: All vendors and guests will be subject to temperature checks at the door. Anyone with a fever over 100°F will not be allowed to enter the venue.

 



-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Sanitizer: Sanitizer will be available throughout the venue for all guests. Extra precautions are also being taken to ensure that no items will be shared by multiple guests.

 



-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Capacity: We expecting to be at 20% capacity at the venue, allowing for plenty of open space.

State requirements: Finally, please check local travel restrictions if you are coming from outside of Texas. If your state requires testing prior to returning, appointments for 15-minute rapid testing can be made at the following location near the venue for a $20 scheduling fee. Hi Everyone,

We are saddened to announce that our venue informed us yesterday that it will be shut down for the next eight weeks due to coronavirus and we will therefore have to postpone our wedding. Although we are disappointed that we will not be able to celebrate with everyone in a few weeks, we are excited to announce that we have been able to coordinate with the venue for our new wedding date - October 1, 2020!!!





Although we did not plan to have this event on a Thursday, we were extremely limited with the venue availability and the many other brides who are in the same situation as us. We understand this is not the most convenient of days, but we are looking forward to making an awesome 4-day weekend out of it for everyone to celebrate. Stay tuned.





With that being said, we will open a new RSVP on the website soon&nbsp;and will be asking everyone to re-RSVP closer to the date, by&nbsp;August 17, 2020. We will send out another message when the RSVP feature is ready.&nbsp;For accommodations, luckily airlines are being very understanding during this situation and flight prices look pretty good right now for anyone who wants to get a good deal on the new date. For anyone who has booked at the Sleep Inn, your original reservation has been cancelled, but you may book&nbsp;your room to the new block by calling&nbsp;(512) 858-2400 and reference Luongo/Streifert.





We will be creating a Facebook group for anyone who would like to join in order to provide more updates leading up to the event so that everyone stays informed during this ever changing situation.  Join us in celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs. Streifert at a post-wedding happy hour&nbsp;at the Fairmont Hotel in downtown Austin. All guests are welcome to stop in and enjoy downtown views&nbsp;with the newlyweds&nbsp;between 2 PM&nbsp;and 6 PM. Event will be located on the 7th floor terrace. Light apps will be provided. Unhosted bar available.

Suggested Weekend Itinerary

The below itinerary is meant to serve as a useful planning tool for those traveling into the Austin area for the weekend. With many attractions currently closed to the Public, it is still possible to have a fun trip to the Austin area.&nbsp;

Please call all locations and check if reservations are required prior to attending any locations! Many places have capacity restrictions and are limiting guests that do not have a reservation. Only items in bold with an asterisk (*) are official wedding events with the bride and groom present. All other activities are suggestions only.

Wednesday

4 PM: Check-in to Sleep Inn in Dripping Springs

6 PM: Head to Salt Lick Cellars for a bottle of wine, before walking over to Salt Lick BBQ to experience BBQ like a Texan. Salt Lick is BYOB, so&nbsp;prepare in advance to bring your beverages

Thursday - Wedding Day!

10 AM - 2 PM: Explore Dripping Springs.&nbsp; 

Option 1: Stop at Mazama Coffee in Dripping Springs.&nbsp;Head to Perdernales Falls State Park for a hike (make reservations on the Texas State Park website), then stop at Texas Hill Country Olive Oil Co. for a light bite and beautiful views.&nbsp; Option 2: Enjoy breakfast at Rolling in Thyme and Dough. Then head for an afternoon wine tasting at Fall Creek Vineyards Option 3: Spend the day relaxing at the lake. First, stop at Summer Moon Coffee in Dripping Springs on your drive. Then head to Lakeway City Park to enjoy two-miles of easy trails or just sit and enjoy your coffee. Then head to the Oasis Restaurant for lunch with amazing views.





2 PM - 5 PM: Head back to the hotel to prepare for the wedding

9 AM: Head outdoors Option 1: Walk to Jo's Coffee and then start your walk along the Roy and Ann Butler bike trail by heading towards the lake. The whole trail is over ten miles long, so be prepared to turnaround at some point. Option 2: Reserve a kayak or paddle board rental from South Congress Kayaks and enjoy your morning on Lady Bird Lake. Option 3:&nbsp;Enjoy brunch at&nbsp;Cru,&nbsp;Stella San Jac, Geraldine's, or Vera Cruz (takeout only) downtown.&nbsp;Or head to South Congress Avenue for brunch at Cafe No Se or Perla's followed by strolling through the local shops.12 PM - 5&nbsp;PM: Relax and lounge at the Fairmont Pool*. Come and go event open to hotel guests only. (Unhosted wedding event)6&nbsp;PM: Head to&nbsp; P6 to grab a table on the patio with a view of the South Congress Bridge. There is a room block reserved at the Sleep Inn &amp; Suites, located two minutes from the venue. Transportation shuttles will be provided from this hotel. However, there are plenty of other great lodging options in the Dripping Springs or Austin areas that we recommend as well.

For guests staying at the Sleep Inn & Suites, we will have complimentary shuttles to and from the venue.&nbsp;For those staying at other hotels in the area, if you will not have a designated driver, please utilize services such as Uber or Lyft.&nbsp;

Taking an Uber to the venue from the Austin area should not be a problem. However, at the end of the night in Dripping Springs, there may not be many drivers available. Please take the time to schedule a ride at the end of the night up to 30 days in advance. IMPORTANT - GETTING TO AND FROM CANYONWOOD RIDGE

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) will be the best airport to fly into. The airport is located about 15 minutes from downtown and 40 minutes from the venue.

Complimentary shuttles will be provided to and from the venue from this hotel. To book, please call and mention Luongo/Streifert. This is the closest hotel to the venue, approximately a two minute drive away, and includes complimentary breakfast.

Sleep Inn & Suites

Depending on what activities you plan on doing while in town, you may want to rent a car. If staying within the Austin city limits, Uber is a great alternative. If you plan on venturing out to Dripping Springs to enjoy the scenic views near our venue or out to Lake Travis, renting a car will be the best option.

Getting Around

The&nbsp;Holiday Inn Express&nbsp;hotel&nbsp;in&nbsp;Dripping Springs&nbsp;offer stylish rooms and free breakfast. The hotel is clean,&nbsp;new, and less than ten minutes from the venue.

Hill Country Casitas is a luxurious, 13 acre, hill country getaway with the feeling of being far away, but only 30 miles from Austin.&nbsp;

The avenue is lined with funky, unique to Austin stores and restaurants with an Austin friendly feel. All you need to fill your Austin shopping desires is located along The Street of SoCo.

South Congress Avenue (SoCo)

Each evening around sunset the Congress Avenue bats emerge like a black cloud from the crevices of the bridge.&nbsp;Flights normally occur around 8 to 8:30 pm but could be earlier or later. Best bet, call the Bat Conservation International at (512) 327-9721 for times. Pro tip: Grab a table (and a drink) at the LINE hotel outdoor patio to have a great view of the bats from the comfort of your seats.

Mount Bonnell is a 775-foot-high outcrop along the eastern shore of Lake Austin. The peak of the overlook is a craggy limestone outcropping surrounded by a forested area of live oak, ash juniper, persimmon and mountain laurel that spans the slope between Mount Bonnell Road and the trails at the top of the park.
