What Adrienne skips by about that first snowy weekend is that I had asked to kiss her, and after we did she TOLD me that was her first kiss and that she had a crush on me for 11 years. *No pressure...* I got more than a little nervous about the gravity of her emotions that I had just sidled up to, and we had a frank conversation about being in separate cities and staying friends.

But over that week, thinking about what a wonderful time we had together, I figured...Winchester isn't so far away. So I called her up and asked her if I could take her out for a date that weekend. We had a lovely walk in the rain through old town Winchester with everything already closed. A nice tea house offered to stay open and serve us still. A parallel for the rest of our relationship - lots of challenges that make our time together all the more special by the delights and wonders we discover as we joyfully overcome them together.

We've traveled over 100,000 miles in the last 6 years to see each other. From Winchester to Pittsburgh to NYC to Europe! She just keeps making me chase her farther! We're lucky to live together now or we might never see each other as Adrienne is jet-setting around the world (she's so cool).

6 years. Jan 19, 2025 will be 6 years. 6 years of joy. 6 years of growth. 6 years of trust and laughter and an ever deepening friendship. 6 years planting the seeds of our love, and tending that mysterious garden that somehow still surprises us with its beauty. Adrienne has softened me, and I've hardened her. Adrienne has helped me be more tactful, and I've helped her be more direct. Adrienne has helped me be more thrifty (seriously - she's cheaper than a Shiff; my mom’s family), and I've helped her enjoy life and worry less. We're a beautiful match and our souls are attuned to every tingle of each others' emotions. Looking forward to celebrating this beautiful harmony with all of you and thank you for contributing to it.
