We’re inspired by the watercolor works of Tove Jansson, the beautiful SunHawk Farm venue, and the various blues, greens, and golds of the wild landscapes which have nourished us throughout our lives. We’d love to invite you to participate in our theme and color palette however you wish!

Tove Jansson (pronounced Toe-vay Yawn-sun) was a queer artist whose all-ages Moomin stories have inspired countless feelers of feelings and lovers of love through her comics, paintings, short stories, interactive exhibits, novels, animations, plays, and pop-up books! An antifascist anarcha-feminist, Jansson’s work is both private and political, steeped in indigenous Finnish nature worship. Her voice is joyful and silly, fierce and rebellious, much like us. We hope you will join us in bringing Moomin Valley to life for our wedding!
