Owned by Jesse’s mom Cheri, Watershed Books in Lakeport transports you back to a time when the local bookstore was a cherished community center. You may receive a small gift card as a guest of our wedding to get you started, but spend abundantly!
When you get peckish from all the time you spent at Watershed Books, head next door to the lovely Angelina’s for an espresso and a fresh pastry — or pick something up for our Dessert Potluck on your way to the wedding!
Join Robin for beautification at this cute local salon, owned by beloved Ukiah native Curtis Looney
Vegan, vegetarian, and carnivore-friendly lunch (or brunch!) must-visit for Jesse every time he’s back in his hometown; everything on the menu is good, but you don’t have to foreswear meat just to get rocked by their Tofu Dog.
Great flavors and solid vegan options at this newer Ukiah summer stop.
If you want the inside track on local Mexican food — this is it.
Named “a sacred site” by National Geographic, the City’s 700 acres of meadows and woodlands are home to countless critters big and small, as well as a Buddhist monastery, boys’ and girls’ K-12 schools, and an organic farm. The largest Buddhist monastery in Northern California, it also houses the Jyun Kang Vegetarian Restaurant, possibly the best-kept culinary secret in the area.
It’s a safe bet this is the only place to get an Ostrich burger in Hopland, and a reliable spot for more traditional greasy-spoon fare as well. A cornerstone of the area for decades.
Cute spot for coffee and tea near the venue (and across from the Bluebird Cafe), co-owned by local punk scene stalwart Mike Fenton.
Every local knows about The Rock Shop. Whether you're a bonafide geologist or just love iconoclastic small businesses passed down through generations of loving stewards, you'll be hard-pressed to leave without a sweet new fossil or a ready-to-crack geode in-hand. This is an easy stop right on Highway 101 as you come up on Hopland.
An hour from Hopland on Highway 128 but just might be worth the trip, Gowan’s Oak Tree has the most delicious apples and orchard products in the world — Jesse and Robin bonded over our mutual love of their award-sweeping gravenstein juice on our first date, and their cider is without equal the world over.
