What airport should I fly into?
Fly into Denver International Airport (DEN) which is NE of the city of Denver, about 30 minutes from the hotel (which is in SE Denver). Grab an Uber or the light rail to the hotel - depending on when you come in, we may be able to find someone to assist with airport pickups.
You could also fly into Colorado Springs or Centennial, but those are MUCH smaller airports where you can expect pricier flights and layovers.
How far is the wedding from the hotel?
The hotel is Courtyard Denver South/Park Meadows Mall at 8320 S Valley Hwy, Englewood, CO 80112.
The venue is at 192 Front Street, Monument CO 80132.
The venue is 36 miles south from the hotel block, and the drive will take approx. 35 minutes each way.
How do I get to the wedding?
If you book in our hotel block using our link (see the Hotel Accommodations section of the website), transportation to AND from the venue are included in your room rate. There will be multiple departure times from the venue back to the hotel. We have an open bar, so we highly recommend you book in our hotel block for a worry free night!
If you choose to book a different hotel, you'll be on your own for transport to/from the wedding. Please plan ahead, find a designated driver, and be safe.
Are there other hotel options?
We don't have room blocks at any other hotels, so if you want to be with the rest of the group, make sure to use our booking link under Hotel Accommodations.
If you want to stay elsewhere, you have the options of staying north of the venue at any hotel in the Denver area (with South Denver / Highlands Ranch / Centennial / Littleton all being about 45 minutes from the venue), or staying 15 minutes south of the venue in Colorado Springs. We have been told there may also be a few nearby Airbnbs.
What is the dress code?
Formal, semi-formal or cocktail are all fine by us. Bonus points if you wear something that evokes the retro 70s vibe!
The wedding party will be in shades of orange/terracotta/sienna/etc, but don't feel like you need to avoid that color! Wear whatever you feel best in -- but ladies, please do not wear white/champagne. :)
Can I bring my child / are kids allowed?
Unfortunately, no - this is a 21+ event. We tried to send out Save the Dates extra early so that guests can plan ahead as we know good babysitters are hard to come by. We don't mean to be buzzkills, but truly: if you arrive with kids, we'll have to turn you away. Please make other arrangements for childcare, and then come kick your shoes off and relax with us!
What time is the ceremony? When should we arrive?
The ceremony will start at 5:00p sharp (mountain time). Please be sure to arrive between 4:30p - 4:45p so that you will have plenty of time to park and get situated at the venue. We'll have a glass of champagne waiting for you when you arrive!
Is the ceremony outdoors?
Yes, the ceremony and cocktail hour are both outdoors on-site. The reception will be indoor/outdoor and guests can choose where to relax. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved inside.
Will there be Uber or Lyft?
You can probably find an Uber from Denver to the venue, but it's 45 minutes away and will be an expensive ride. You almost certainly won't find an Uber from the wedding back to the city, though, since the wedding venue is somewhat rural.
If you book in our hotel block using our link (see the Travel section of the website), transportation to AND from the venue are included in your room rate. There will be multiple departure times from the venue back to the hotel.
What's on the menu?
Dinner will be shared style with charcuterie beforehand. We will have several different entrée and side options, and a dessert bar. Dinner options will include Chicken Piccata, Beef Tri-Tip, Mashed Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables, Salad, and Bread. After dinner, we will have a full dessert bar (cupcakes, bars, cookies, etc) from a local bakery. We will also have an open bar (please bring cash to tip your bartenders)!
We can accommodate dietary restrictions with notice - please reach out to Sally if you are vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, have a food allergy, or want to let us know about any other dietary restrictions. You can also leave a note when you RSVP.
Do I need to be COVID vaccinated to attend?
Thanks for asking! Yes, we ask that anyone who attends the wedding be vaccinated against COVID. It's important to us to protect our immunocompromised, elderly, and at-risk family members! We'd prefer you have received a booster within 2025, as well, but we aren't requiring this - just recommending it!
Will Sally be taking David's last name?
Nope - Sally will stay a Foster!
