This COVID friendship developed online through (many) games of Overwatch. After meeting in real life several times, the deal was sealed. Sally and Dawn are inseparable, even if they aren't in the same state. Dawn has provided unmatched and unwavering support through new jobs, moving to a new state, buying a new house, losses, struggles and successes! There's no better friend or hype girl. Jennifer is one of Sally's closest friends - practically family! When she was 16, Sally responded to an ad Jen posted looking for childcare for her newborn. 20 years later they're still close, and as Sally has grown, so has their relationship. Here's what hasn't changed: Jen has always been Sally's compass for what it looks like to be a compassionate, successful, supportive and brilliant woman!

Hannah quickly became a close friend of Sally's in 2012 when they met at HUGE Improv Theater in Minneapolis. Hannah has taught Sally the importance of community and advocacy, with lasting lessons that Sally has applied in so many aspects of her life over the past 12 years. Honestly, there's nothing Hannah can't do, and she is constantly inspiring + teaching Sally!

Believe it or not, the Bride has known Nick since she was born: Nick is Sally's older brother! She always says her favorite thing about her brother is that he's the same around EVERYONE - incredibly smart, silly, inquisitive, and downright weird. He's like Elon Musk if Elon liked camping (and wasn't absolutely insane). If you think Sally is funny on her own, you should see her in a room with Nick.

Kate was originally Sally's brother's friend, but once they met, Sally immediately adopted her and they've been on many trips together since (Sedona, NM, Denver, Ruidoso, Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, Murphys x 3, San Francisco...). Kate is our adventure and travel buddy, and we owe the loveliness of our home to her support - she stayed with us for almost a month after we moved to Denver to help us (paint, build furniture, clean, etc). Long live the three tufas!

Jared has had the unique experience of knowing both Sally and David as they met each other and began spending time together. He's been there from the beginning, and been an absolute rock for us both several times over the past five years. Jared has been a critical support for Sally, in particular, as they navigated running an inclusive and diverse competitive videogaming group (iykyk) together after seeing a need for such a community. We feel so lucky and Happie to have him in our lives!

Eric is David’s longest lasting friendship, by far. They first met in Elementary School and quickly became fast friends. From sitting together every day during lunch in 6th grade, all the way to being college roommates at Michigan Tech, and now Best Man at the wedding! Their friendship reached new heights when Eric met Sally; To say they’re kindred spirits is an understatement. Sally and David both love Eric for his gentle warmth, kindness, quick wit, and dependability.

Amy is David’s sister and extremely close friend from the start! As kids, they often spent hours playing video games together - and that friendship lasted all the way to adulthood, with Amy flying out to visit David in New Mexico for 2+ week stretches at a time! They’ve been through hard times and good times together and have always remained incredibly close. Without exception, she’s been David’s lifelong confidant, trusted advisor, and biggest supporter!

David met Geoff through close mutual friends while living in Los Alamos, New Mexico. They quickly became friends through their shared love of games, new experiences, and cats. In the 10 years since, they've gone on many adventures together including hiking, snowboarding, exciting travel, and even the adventure of a Dungeons & Dragons campaign that’s spanned 90+ sessions! Geoff’s enthusiasm for life has always been extremely contagious and he’s always been an inspiration to David, both at work and in day-to-day life.

Becca was one of David's first friends when he moved to Los Alamos, NM, just over 13 years ago. They’ve been close friends ever since, going on many adventures together - Becca even helped David pick out his first cat, Watson! Their friendship persisted even while Becca was in college in Kansas, and then moved to Colorado. Now that David & Sally live in Denver too, they're reunited and closer than ever! Becca is smart, supportive, passionate, and always down for a spontaneous escapade!

Ian is yet another friend that David met during his time in New Mexico. They first became close friends through the Dungeons & Dragons campaign that David runs. After being friends for several years, Ian also joined David's World of Warcraft guild and played competitively alongside Sally & David for years. Primarily responsible for introducing David to Magic the Gathering and reigniting his love for Chess, Ian has been a staple in so many of David's happiest memories. On top of that, he has always been a friend that David and Sally could always rely on no matter what, and to this day, he also remains one of Mango’s favorite humans!
