Once upon a time, in the fall of 2018, Sam stumbled into the life of a beautiful young lady named Kiersten. They met through mutual friends while she was about to start her senior year at Sacred Heart University. Little did they know, their lives were about to change forever.
As they bonded over their love for Eli's, Stonebridge, and Red’s on campus, Sam felt like he was a student at SHU, without the burden of schoolwork or loans. They became great friends and even went on a date to Bar Taco. But alas, nothing came of it, and Sam and Kiersten remained just friends.
As Kiersten’s graduation approached, they lost touch and both moved on with their lives. However, fate had other plans for them. In December of 2019, Sam was invited to Santacon at Citrus Restaurant in Milford, CT. And guess who he saw there? None other than Kiersten!
At first, Sam tried his best to ignore her, but his heart wouldn't let him. They caught up and found out Kiersten had landed her dream job as an RN at Stony Brook Hospital, while Sam was busy starting Keaveney Design. Their schedules aligned, since they were both working night shifts at the time, and their friendship blossomed once again.
And then, the world shut down due to Covid-19. However, that didn't stop Sam and Kiersten’s relationship. They checked in on each other every day, and their friendship grew even stronger. As the world slowly opened up, they planned a trip to the Hamptons with friends on the 4th of July weekend. Seeing Kiersten in person after months of virtual communication was magical. Sam knew then that she was the one he had been searching for all his life.
They traveled across the U.S. together, enjoying mini-vacations whenever they could. But there was one thing in the back of Sam’s mind: his first deployment in May 2021. He knew it would be tough, but he was determined to make it work with Kiersten.
Post-deployment, they resumed their travels, and their love grew even stronger. It was during their trip to Dingle, Ireland that Sam and Kiersten both realized they were head over heels in love with each other. Ireland became a special place for them, and that is why they decided to get married there.
So, ladies and gentlemen, that's the story of how our lives came to where we our today. It's funny how life works out sometimes, isn't it? One moment, you're just friends, and the next, you're head across the pond to get married!
