We understand it involves extra steps but it is how they do it. We appreciate your efforts.
Conversely, you can book without a code, but the rates are higher and have a minimum stay requirement.

Nearby towns include: Castledermot, Carlow, and Athy.
You can book an Airbnb or stay in a hotel nearby the castle if you choose to not stay on the grounds as well.
Flights to Ireland
Fly into Dublin Airport as Kilkea Castle is roughly 1 hour south of the airport All major US airlines fly there.
United flies from Newark and DC- Dulles
Aer Lingus flies from Boston, Cleveland, Chicago- O'Hare, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, New York- JFK, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Seattle.
Delta flies from Boston (not daily), & New York- JFK
American flies from Philadelphia & Dallas.
You can also fly through Canada or Europe and connect on many other airlines in addition to the ones outlined. I strongly recommend at least three hour layovers if you connect within Europe. It can be shorter if you do it within the US. We recommend leaving on Friday, 11/17 and arriving on Saturday, 11/18. However, you can arrive on 11/19, but please note there are not many options should your flight from the US get delayed or canceled on Saturday night. The wedding will happen as planned at 2 pm on 11/20.

Car Rental
If you choose to drive in Ireland:
Please note that they drive on the LEFT. Speed Limits are in KM, not MPH.
Renting a car at the airport is doable but more expensive than the US. You will have to pay for each and every driver and they're not as forgiving as in the states, even for minor damage. Get insurance!
Also, many companies require a large deposit on your card so make sure you're prepared for that.
You can call a taxi/ uber as well if need be. Below are links to cab companies. There are bus routes from Dublin Airport/ Central Dublin to the town next to the castle.
Taxi
The nearest town to hire taxis is Carlow. They transport in and around Kilkea Castle, to/from Dublin and the airport.

Bus
Multiple bus companies operates buses from Dublin Airport/ Central Dublin to Castledermot and Carlow. If you don't want hire a taxi, this is a viable option. You can pre-book your ride 90 days out!

Train
Irish Rail has service from Dublin- Heuston Station to Athy, the closest station to Kilkea Castle. From Athy, a taxi or ride is required to reach the castle.
Irish Rail has up to 8 trains per day from Dublin to Athy. You can reserve a seat up to 90 days in advance.
