FAQs

How do I get to Steamboat?

We have a lot more detail on the "Getting to Steamboat" page of our website, but to summarize, most of our guests will either fly into Denver International Airport (DEN), a 3 to 4 hour drive to Steamboat ski mountain, or Yampa Valley Regional Airport located in Hayden Colorado (HDN), a 35 minute drive to Steamboat ski mountain. From both airports, you can rent a car, or book a shared or private shuttle to the Steamboat Ski Mountain base.

Where should I stay?

Driving to the venue is not permitted, so please stay at the base of the Steamboat Ski Mountain where our shuttle pick up and drop off spots will be. Check out our accommodations page for specific recommendations and discount codes.

What should I get you as a gift?

Having made the trip from NY countless times ourselves, we know getting to Steamboat is not easy or cheap. It is so kind that you would want to get us something to celebrate this milestone in our life - but the time, effort and money you spent to join us for our wedding weekend is gift enough. If you feel passionate about marking the occasion with a gift, we'd love if you would donate to a cause of your choosing in our honor. Suggestions aligned with causes we care about include Paws of War, Planned Parenthood, or the The New York Abortion Access Fund (NYAAF).

What should I wear to each event?

The wedding day attire is "elevated cocktail". That means men should wear suits & ties, not tuxedos, and women should wear midi-dresses, floor-length dresses, or a shorter/cocktail dress that is on the fancier side of the spectrum. If you want the bride to compliment you on your outfit, wear something colorful or patterned! The ceremony and cocktail hour will be on grass, so wear appropriate footwear. Bring a coat - September temperatures are 60s-70s during the day, but can drop to 30s-40s at night! The welcome event is "casual attire". Jeans are totally fine and something dressier is, too - whatever will make you comfortable! The welcome event has indoor/outdoor space and it may be chilly by 6:30 PM, so please bring a coat. If you are so inclined, cowboy hats and boots are welcome at either event. When out west!
