We picked our wedding date of 9/28/2024 because of the beautiful golden leaves in Colorado this time of year. The leaves in the Vail Valley (Vail and Beaver Creek area) in the fall are breathtaking! We encourage everyone to spend a few hours over the weekend walking and/or driving around to go "leaf peeping"! Lots of great views, photo opportunities, and a fun way to take in the fall atmosphere in the Rocky Mountains!
We are so excited for everyone to experience the Beaver Creek village! It is truly such a happy and magical place. Beaver Creek is a ski village in the Vail Valley, nestled in a gated community. The village has lots of shopping and dining throughout. Beaver Creek is also home to some of the most popular hiking trails in the Vail Valley (great for leaf peeping!). These hiking trails feature waterfalls, rivers, streams and lakes. Most trailheads are located just a few minutes from the village. Beaver Lake Trail and Turquoise Lakes Trail are some of the most visited trails in the area. Average temperatures in the fall are: High 75°F / Low 30°F. Make sure to bring some warm clothing for the evenings! Check out the restaurants and bars listed on our website for some food and drink recommendations!
Unfortunately, the Beaver Creek Mountain gondola closes just a few days before our wedding. However, Vail Mountain is only a 15–20-minute drive from Beaver Creek, and the Vail gondola is open until 10/1! Riding the gondola is a great way to leaf peep above 10,000 feet. There are restaurants at the top of the mountain once you get off the gondola.
