There are a gazillion "officiants" out there that have been "ordained" online. In Michigan there is no requirement to perform a marriage. If all you seek is for someone to say something and sign the license, I recommend grabbing a friend or relative, have them get ordained online, and save yourself some money. Alternatively, if you something more, I am the minister you seek.

Reverend Fred is a hilarious, caring, and wonderful man who I would recommend to anybody getting married. He was an absolute delight, and our entire family loved spending time with...
him during our rehearsal dinner and throughout our wedding night. We have a lot of great things to say about Reverend Fred, but one of the most spectacular things is the ceremony book that he loans to couples planning their wedding.
Inside the ceremony book is over 30 different wedding ceremonies covering several variations of typical traditional, non-traditional, nondenominational, and even Celtic wedding ceremony examples along with more I can't even think of. There are also dozens of various unity ceremony examples to choose from, and everyone loved our wine ceremony. All of which Reverend Fred made sure was ready. We called our venue and left a message the day before to ensure they had everything set up and ready in time for the ceremony. However, Reverend Fred noticed they did not have anything set up 20 minutes prior and took it upon himself to make sure they had it ready. He truly takes pride in officiating weddings for loving couples, and it is evident in his actions.
Also, I would like to mention as a person who is not religious that Reverend Fred is not a man who will pass judgment at no point did he try to push us to do or say anything we were uncomfortable with. For example, my mother-in-law requested a dinner blessing; however, I was on the fence when she initially brought it up. My family wasn't as religious as hers, and I didn't want to make anyone uncomfortable. Of course, I was hesitant to bring my concern up to the Reverand, but he took it in stride. He sidelined the idea and at no point, put pressure on us to go one way or another, and he assured us whatever decision we made was final. He offered to share a video example of the dinner blessings he has done in the past, and we decided to go with it. We are pleased we did it made a lot of people in the family happy and Reverend Fred is a fantastic writer and speaker who captured us as a couple.
We have absolutely no regrets with our choosing Reverend Fred to officiate our wedding, he did a fantastic job, and everyone in the family enjoyed his company, ceremony, and dinner blessing. Thank you so much for helping us craft a truly unique and extraordinary ceremony to show how much the merging our two lives meant. It's true that I ended up in the hospital literally overnight. My wife, Sheila, contacted every couple who had a wedding pending. In each instance the agreement was "No refunds". T...
hat said, she sent personal checks as full refund except when the couple had completed several reviews of their custom written ceremony and had accepted it as final. At that point they were in receipt of a complete ceremony that anybody could officiate. All but two or three understood. Those went on a campaign to defame me. I am well recovered and eager to resume. The previous 150 married couples can't all be wrong. If you agree, please write or call. Thank you...and God Bless!
We contracted Reverend Frederick Jolicoeur to perform our wedding ceremony eight months prior to our wedding date and paid him the required deposit to reserve the date. Less than ...
two months before the wedding, we were notified by his representative that he would not be able to perform our ceremony due to unfortunate circumstances. Although the terms of the contract clearly call for a full refund of our deposit, his representative refused to provide us a refund. We contacted PayPal to dispute the transaction but they only allow disputes within 180 days of the transaction. His representative notified us of his unavailiablity to perform the service on the 181st day after the payment. We have since disputed the matter with our credit card company. We emphasize with the Jolicoeur family, but denying a refund for work that was paid for but not performed is shockingly rude and unprofessional behavior, especially considering the substantial investment we made to procure his services. We therefore cannot recommend using his services to anyone.

At the second meeting, his demeanor was sour and annoyed. He confused our ceremony details with others, rescheduled/cancelled meetings, “fired” himself and took the deposit and ran. He's wonderful and flexible until he receives correction, direction, guidance, edits etc. from his paying clients. He “fired” himself (we never implied nor ask to cancel our agreement) and upon him canceling on us, we requested our $250 deposit be returned and he has refused and said, "go ahead and send your lawyers after me". Be aware.

We ended up doing a mix and match of a few, with a bit of ourselves mixed in, so that what we had was perfect for us. He was very thorough and accepting of any questions.
One thing that stuck out, which was evident through his binder of previous ceremonies, is that he wanted the ceremony to be what we wanted it to be. Whether you are devoutly religious, not at all, or anywhere in between, Reverend Fred was there to help you have the ceremony you want and make it special.

Due to some other issues we had to find an officiant online at the last minute, which made me very anxious. As soon as Reverend Fred contacted us, all anxiety was washed away. We had barely two months left until the wedding, but Rev Fred made everything so easy. If you are like me and have no idea how a wedding really works, I recommend contacting him from the beginning of your wedding planning. He came to our first meeting prepared with a warm smile and an enormous folder full of wonderful and useful information (which he allowed us to take home and study) to help make your wedding planning a little more organized. He had plenty of sample weddings and ideas to help you decide what you would want. He is in no way pushy or judgmental based on what you want your ceremony to be like; and he is extremely caring and patient. He is very quick on getting back to you about any comments or concerns. It is clear as day that he truly enjoys what he does and he truly wants it to be the most perfect ceremony for the couple. We had so many compliments about what a beautiful ceremony Reverend Fred had written and how everyone could see us in the words spoken. So it was not only beautiful, but personal. He also gave our dinner blessing which we received even MORE compliments about. Some people said it was the most beautiful blessing they had ever heard. Rev Fred was kind enough to stay for dinner and many relatives and friends commented on what a truly wonderful man he is. Not only did he go above and beyond in providing his services, he is a kind, beautiful soul (which is so rare these days) and I was so grateful to have had him be a part of such a special day in our lives. I was in no way nervous or scared, even in the seconds before walking down the aisle because I knew Rev Fred would make it perfect and he did not disappoint one bit. My only regret is that I did not find him sooner! We would absolutely recommend him to anyone and everyone! He is so very inspiring!

I gave Rev Fred a giant list of all the pieces I liked and he crafted it into the perfect ceremony that just came out beautifully and was 100% ours. We had the text of the ceremony figured out six months in advance and got to relax and reread it over and over. He made suggestions that made the ceremony much better, but when we told him that a part was important to us, he made sure it was in the readings (even if it might not have seemed like it would fit). On the day of the rehearsal, we were running around, running late and trying to get everything together, but he stayed calm, ran the walk through and got everything taken care of.
