We planned our wedding and secured most of our big ticket vendors in the height of COVID, which meant committing to AffinitiNYC without ever seeing them perform live. They were a breeze to work with in the planning process. We hired a 7-piece band to play the dance party/after party portion of our wedding (3 hours straight of performance, 10pm-1am). They sounded fantastic and maintained the vibe and energy we were looking for. Nearly ALL of our guests came up to me or my husband in the night to tell us how much they loved them. They were such a key element in creating our perfect wedding day and we are so happy to have found them!

Affinity was the highlight of our wedding. They surpassed our expectations, every single guest was on the dance floor the entire night. They were so energizing. All our guests were blown away by their talent!

We saw Affinity NYC at a friends wedding a few years before our and instantly knew we HAD to have them for our wedding! They are exceptional! During one of our meetings with the band about what our opening song would be we said... "well... a wedding we just went to did that same song" their response "doesn't matter WE'LL be better!" and they were!! They truly did not disappoint. They had everyone out of their seats dancing before the meals even were delivered to their table where we actually had to say OK everyone you do have to eat - they are that good that people didn't want to stop! The dance floor was packed the entire night and they were just a blast to have and to work with. One of our guests said, "I don't care- whatever party I have next they're coming- could be a baby shower doesn't matter" haha I would absolutely recommend this band to anyone. We have several more weddings in our immediate family we may need to put them on retainer! THANK YOU SO MUCH for making our wedding day so perfect!

And on top of all that, they understand how to read the crowd and know how to make the party flow. The music choice for me personally, is spot on. Everyone I spoke to, when asking what their favorite part of the wedding was, unequivocally said, Dancing and Music was the top choice!

My husband and I first saw AffinitiNYC perform one of the many times we were at prohibition prior to COVID. We fell in love with them, we weren’t even engaged, and said we WILL have them at our wedding one day! Fast forward a little over a year and my gosh we are so happy we got to sing and dance the night away with Affiniti. They absolutely KILLED IT and had our guests dancing the entire night even during this crazy pandemic. They were so awesome and made everyone comfortable by telling them they can dance on the dance floor or at their tables as long as they were enjoying themselves. We got SO MANY compliments from our guests saying they were the best band they have heard at a wedding. No one wanted the party to end!! They even played our first dance song as well as our mother/father dances. They went above and beyond and made our COVID wedding the wedding of our dreams. Fantastic is an understatement. We're still hearing our guests rave about how amazing the band was. Guests that I'd never seen dancing before were all over the dance floor! One guest jokingly asked my mother when the band would play something - let's say "less fantastic" - so she could take a break from dancing. We had the option of choosing a playlist (or genres) and we were encouraged to also select a "do not play" list - but we decided to trust AFFINITINYC to feel out the crowd and play what they knew would work. So glad we trusted them to do their thing because they crushed it - and took a lot of stress off of my wife and myself. Outside of the music, they are the most charismatic and professional people to work with.

We were looking for a larger, high energy band with a horn section and we seriously lucked out by hiring AffinitiNYC! Our wedding was in Vermont but we wanted to have a New Orleans second line and incorporate some very non-New England traditions into the reception. Chandlar and the band listened to our very specific requests and delivered above and beyond what we had hoped. Everyone could not stop talking about how great our band was - they kept the party going from the second everyone walked into the reception until the very end!

AFFINITINYC was such an amazing band, both to work with and to have perform at our wedding! We found them on The Knot and we went to hear them at Prohibition on the UWS (where I think they play once a month or so) before we booked. When we saw them we were taken with the energy and enthusiasm they displayed--the main singers are a married couple so they have great chemistry onstage. We worked mostly with Chandlar throughout the booking and planning process, and he was always very helpful and professional. We asked him to learn a couple of new songs for the wedding, including two for special dances, and he said that they would do it no problem and no extra charge. Their song list is extensive--I counted over 300--and they have a huge range of different songs that you can categorize as ones you love, like, or don't want played. For the reception, we had a couple members of the band play jazz during dinner, which was lovely and set just the right atmosphere, and then we had a full 8-piece band for dancing after dinner. Our dance floor was in a separate room from dinner, so I was worried about people getting from one place to the other and having them stay to dance. The band handled the logistics no problem, and once the dancing started they were every bit as fun and energetic as we had seen before! We had a mix of people in the 20s (our friends) and people our parents' age, and everybody had a great time on the dance floor. The band played a lot of fun old-school songs, and towards the end of the night they played a number of classic hits that the younger crowd especially really loved. My only complaint was that it had to end! They played a surprise last-dance song for me and my husband, which was a really touching way to end the night. Overall, we loved having AFFINITINYC at our wedding! They were totally perfect and we got so many compliments about them. For a really good NYC band, they are not horrendously expensive. Check them out at Prohibition, or just book them while you still can!

Affinitinyc played at our daughter's wedding on June 29, 2019. They were amazing. Based on our input, they played music that fit our guest list and everyone (from 11 to 75) was dancing all night long. It was a rare sight to see anyone sitting at a table while Affinitinyc was playing dance music. Chandlar is also so easy to deal with. He was great leading up to the wedding, then on the day of the wedding, we were watching as the radar showed a thunderstorm traveling through our venue site 1 hour before the outdoor ceremony. The storm cleared with 15 minutes to spare for ceremony time, and Chandlar and his sound guys, set up the ceremony sound system, the key boardist and the violinist within those 15 minutes and allowed us to have the outside ceremony under a tent. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed Chandlar and Affinitinyc. This was their first time playing the venue and they hit a home run. The wedding planner quickly added them to her preferred vendor list!

Chandlar, Karen and the rest of AFFINITINYC were truly AMAZING! They made our wedding night unforgettable! Our guests were on the dance floor all night long! From the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception & coordinating a DJ for our after party - they did not disappoint! Music was very important to my husband and I and this was by far one of the BEST decisions we made for our special day!

Affiniti played our wedding in Brooklyn, NY and they were amazing. Chandlar and team did a fantastic job, they created a custom song list based on what we wanted to hear and even learned the song for our first dance. We used them to get a string quartet for the ceremony, had a couple instruments for the cocktail hour and then a 9 piece band for the reception and we are still getting comments from the guests on what and amazing job they did. We got on the dance floor right after dinner and didn't leave it until the reception was over. The band helped make our wedding night an unforgettable experience as they new how to play what we asked for and keep the guests on the dance floor all night. AffinitiNYC is INCREDIBLE! Chandlar, Karen and the rest of AffinitiNYC absolutely made our wedding night, and we could not recommend them enough! From the first song they played our guests were up and dancing, and we have not stopped getting texts and phonecalls asking us where we found such an incredible band. Every single vocalist and musician were beyond talented and energetic, and they truly celebrated with us the entire night. Leading up to the wedding communication was smooth, easy and welcomed. Song selection was made easy, and we had a ton of control over the songs that did/did not get played throughout the night. Additionally, with the band's flow sheet approach to organizing the night, it was extremely easy to communicate exactly how we wanted things to go. We also had a fantastic sax and guitar at cocktail hour, and a string duo for the ceremony, both of which where arranged by AffinitiNYC - they truly took care of us from the very beginning to the very end of the night, and we are SO thankful. This is the wedding band! They are energetic, know how to engage and read a crowd, and they are so talented. We couldnt have imagined the night with anyone else!

Their set list is out of this world and truly fit the mold of what we dreamed about for our wedding. We loved AffinitiNYC and are THRILLED that we chose them for our wedding band. Music was one of the most important elements in planning our wedding and I evaluated about 16 different NYC area bands. I loved our meetings with Chandlar and Karen and felt really good about AffinitiNYC right away. We made sure to evaluate other bands, but always came back to AffinitiNYC. Sure enough, selecting AffinitiNYC was one of the best decisions we made. AffinitiNYC performed for our cocktail hour and reception. We had a jazz trio during cocktail hour, and one family member said he was bummed it was only an hour - little did he know what was coming! Affiniti performed with a 10 piece band for 10 hours and the dance floor was packed from the first set. The group performed everything from soul, motown, classics, rock, top 40, dance, and current music. The group had an extensive song list, but we made special requests for songs for some special dances that they nailed and performed perfectly. A good band sounds good and has a versatile set list. A great band reads the crowd, and tailors the set list to keep that vibe, hypes up the room, and gets to know what the crowd likes. AffinitiNYC did all of that and more. Many of our guests are musicians themselves and were raving about the band. My husband and I danced our newly married butts off and had a great time. Everyone who attended our wedding talks about the band. From a business perspective, every interaction was professional and reliable. We communicated in person at meetings, and also via email and text. Our wedding planner took over the logistics in the last few weeks once I was comfortable and everything went really smoothly. AffinitiNYC was an absolute hit and helped make our wedding amazing - many guests have said it was the best band they've heard, and the best wedding they've been to! Then, we spoke with them and we were completely sold. Karen & Chandlar are so incredibly talented and professional as was the rest of the band. They kept the energy going all night and when we talk with friends about our wedding they always complement our amazing band. Chandlar was AMAZING to deal with prior to the wedding. So detail oriented. We did not want a traditional reception with first dance, etc and he catered to that no problem. So professional and pretty much every single person at the wedding said it was THE BEST band they had ever heard at a wedding! And we have musicians in the family. We wanted to have them keep playing at the end of the wedding for an extra hour but unfortunately because of a noise ordinance we couldn't:( EVERYONE was dancing the ENTIRE night. They also traveled down to our wedding in MD with no hesitation. I PROMISE you will not regret going with them as your band for your wedding. THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!! Hands down!!! Booking Affinity NYC for our September 2017 wedding was one of the single best, and easiest, decisions we made throughout the wedding planning process. Before finding Affinity, we met with ALL of the big agency band companies - we listened to 15 bands to be exact - and we always left feeling the same way: stressed, pressured, over budget and underwhelmed. Thankfully, a friend of ours used Affinity a few months before and THREE different attendees recommended them to us. After our initial call with Chandler, we listened to the audio and videos on their website, and booked them instantly. Like, that day. Not only are they BEYOND talented, they are extremely easy to work with. It was the first time we felt like we weren't just another couple walking through the door. Chandler took the time to get to know us, our preferences, and our wedding guests to make a setlist that was perfectly tailored to us and our wedding. It was really important to us to work with good people. And you can't get much better than Chandler and Karen. We actually NEVER even met them until the weeks leading up to our wedding! I'm pretty confident that our guests feet still hurt from dancing all evening. Affinitinyc brought their as advertised high energy entertainment and it helped create an unforgettable evening for us and our guests. Chandlar and Karen are absolutely awesome to work with. Chandlar was responsible for a truly unforgettable evening. He and the band were incredible, and the party was beyond our wildest expectations. We have never danced so much in my life. We kept thinking that the dance floor must have been really small, but then we realized it was because every single person was dancing. I attended my niece's wedding last weekend and was blown away by the band, as was everyone else. The crowd was very mixed in age with a large 20-something contingent but also plenty of us "older folk." They were a class act all the way and extremely talented. My niece/nephew picked the playlist from umpteen songs available (and apparently they will learn some for you as well if not on the list). Current standards like Uptown Funk rocked the house, as well as oldies and those fabulous 80s. They played for over five hours straight. Can't go wrong. Also, wedding was in Southold at end of Long Island, so clearly they are willing to travel beyond the city.
