Excellent music! I was very pleased with the band, and everyone told us after the wedding that they loved it, and were glad we went with them instead of a DJ. Robby was very friendly and accommodating, and checked in with us throughout the night to see how we were doing, and I really appreciated the thoughtfulness of that. It definitely felt like they were putting a lot of energy into creating an energetic and joyous atmosphere. I would highly recommend going with Spotlight if you are looking for a band!

Robby and the team were amazing! They were so helpful and energetic leading up to, and on the wedding day! We had asked for a traditional atmosphere for the badekin and tisch, as well as a more modern and fun reception. Everyone in the band went above and beyond for us! They were able to read the room amazingly, and our dance floor was a huge hit! They also worked closely with us for a very special first dance, which was so sentimental for us. One week after our event, and everyone is still complementing the band! If you have an event, I highly recommend hiring this group!

My husband and I hired Spotlight Music for our wedding band, and we are so happy we did! They truly made our wedding night one we will never forget. Robby was very cooperative through and through. He asked us what type of music we like and how we'd like to build the mood from ceremony, reception and up to the after party. Spotlight Music was absolutely incredible and truly the cream of the crop. They were so versatile and accommodating and do it all- they nailed our cocktail hour, ceremony, slower dances, AND kept both our older and younger guests dancing all night (not to mention they were also able to sing in numerous languagesI) I got so many compliments on how amazing they were and would absolutely hire them again. 10/10 would recommend!

Robby and Spotlight Music were simply incredible! Everyone was on the dance floor for our wedding and we got so many compliments about how great they were. Robby was so easy to work with and helped plan out our entire night. He was an excellent communicator and gave us exactly what we wanted. The band crushed it from the singers to the drummer to all the musicians, we were blown away. They even gave us the long Chorah we wanted. We couldn't recommend them enough and wish we had another wedding they could perform for!

Robby and the Spotlight Music Orchestra are an absolute wedding band dream come true. Robby himself is extremely approachable, professional, and above all, deeply passionate about his work. He goes above and beyond to make sure the wedding day is PERFECT, not only for the bride and groom, but also for their respective families. Listening to music is such a personal experience in everyday life; as such, wedding-day music should encapsulate the personal taste of the married couple in a way that is unique to them, in a manner than tells their story. Mine and husband’s stories were so multifaceted, that we didn’t believe that we could find someone who would be able to play all the genres of music we were hoping to hear on our special night. We were looking for someone who knew traditional Jewish music, Israeli music, American Music, Latin music, and Persian music. How EVER were we to find a single human being who would be able to play all the above? Luckily, my husband’s mother heard about Robby and his band through the grape vine, and relayed that he can do “anything your heart desires.” Being the realist I am, I didn’t think that was possible. Robby proved me wrong. Not only did he and the band personally play Jewish, Israeli, American, and Latin music, but he personally worked side-by-side a Persian singer to appeal to my large Persian family who LOVED the music. Robby and the band played multiple components of our wedding - the ceremony, the two cocktail hours, and a VERY long reception with a first-dance that lasted over 2 hours. He was playing from 4pm until 11:45pm without skipping a beat. The band played every song with the same energy, enthusiasm, and TALENT then the last. I am truly impressed at the amount of excitement that Robby was able to elicit from the guests. My husband, I, and our families had the night of our lives and it is TRULY thanks to Robby. We feel indebted to him for making our day so amazing. We cannot wait for our next celebration with Robby!!

Robby and spotlight music are AMAZING! From the first time we talked with Robby we knew he would be doing our wedding. He listened to what we wanted, what our budget was, and gave us an amazing package to cover the ceremony and reception and even "DJ mode" after the musicians were done so we could keep the party going. The entire time we worked with Robby it was clear he knows weddings inside and out. He made everything so easy for us by giving us advice on our timeline, giving us songs to choose from, and adding extra singers when we asked. During our wedding Robby was there for our tisch and bedeken, making it so moving and beautiful. He played us down the aisle with another musician and then kept our reception fun and high energy for hours! The band also specializes in Jewish weddings and we had the most celebratory and raucous Jewish dancing at the beginning of the reception. And we both vividly remember Robby playing Piano Man during dinner and how beautiful it sounded. At the end of the night we had people of all ages raving to us about Spotlight Music and how they were the best wedding band anyone had ever heard. We absolutely recommend working with Robby for your wedding! Anything you have in mind, spotlight music can do!

Robby is the absolute best in the biz, PERIOD. We did an extensive search for the best live band in LA for our wedding. There were a million choices but after the first phone call with Robby, we knew we had to hire Spotlight Music. He is truly in his own class. This is more than just a business for him, it is his true passion and it shows. We had to unfortunately cancel our original LA wedding due to the pandemic and planned a completely new wedding in Austin from scratch. Robby was with us every step of the way. Within a matter of days, he was able to find us amazing musicians in a different state and continued to coordinate every minute of our ceremony and reception music. WHO DOES THAT?! We were blown away by Robby's genuine care for our wedding. I kid you not, he will care about your event more than you will. He's a friend for life and we can't thank him enough for pouring his endless energy into our big day. He is devoted, talented and kind. HIRE HIM, you will not regret it.

After meeting Robby I knew right away that he was the person I wanted to work with to make our wedding music come to life. He is an extremely talented musician but beyond that he has incredible energy and working with him was seamless. He put together a team for our big day that exceeded my expectations and the night was a seamless flow without any awkward quiet moments as we moved between different areas of the venue (which I was very worried about happening)!. Robby and his whole group were absolutely wonderful! All of my family and guests really enjoyed the music. Three weeks before the wedding I had no musicians booked -yikes! I called Robby and fortunately they were available - Spotlight Music came through in a big way. Because of the short deadline we weren't able to meet in person, Robby helped me plan and choose the music over the phone and the results were amazing. He was easy to work with and accommodated all of my requests. I also liked that he checked in with me during the reception to ask if we liked the song selections. I wanted a fun, high-energy reception and Robby helped make it happen; the live music made all the difference. At first I was too shy to dance after our "grand entrance" the way we planned but he encouraged me and it ended up being one of my favorite parts of the evening. Everyone loved the song he sang as I walked down the aisle. The whole process was a dream come true. Highly, highly recommend! Robby and crew were absolutely amazing - the highlight of our wedding was the high-energy fun facilitated by their incredible performance! We were having a wedding which needed someone who could play a wide-ranging variety of Jewish, American and international songs - they executed wonderfully and with palpable energy. Most importantly, Robby is so skilled in helping plan the wedding and guiding the decisions around all the song choices, procession details and logistical factors to take into account - he's a true expert, especially for our religious Jewish wedding. His ability improvise on the fly if needed, when things inevitably went wrong with other parts of the wedding (photography, catering) was so appreciated - he made it all flow seamlessly despite some hiccups. I couldn't recommend Robby more - he added so much more than what I thought a band could to our wedding!!!

Spotlight music was amazing! They had the guests at my daughter's wedding dancing the entire night. Their music was fantastic and all the band members had great personalities and great voices. They were very obliging and did everything we wanted them to do to make the wedding extra special. I would definitely recommend them for any function.

Selecting Spotlight Music to play at our wedding was one of the best decisions we made during the entire wedding planning process. After interviewing a number of band leaders that just didn't seem to be able to offer what were looking for -- a combination of both Traditional Jewish wedding music AND classic pop and rock songs -- we finally found Robby. He's got the full package: Beyond bringing together super talented musicians that put on an amazing performance, Robby took the time to really understand what we were looking for, for the ceremony and for the reception and for the other events of the day. He created new arrangements for a few songs that were special to us but not yet in his catalog. And when we finally got to the big day, Robby went the extra mile to make sure every aspect of the music delighted us and our guests. Since our special day a few years ago, several of our close friends have followed our recommendation to bring on Robby for their weddings, and those weddings have invariably been the most fund, uplifting, and exciting weddings we've been to. We recommend Robby 100%! Call him! Now!

Cannot overstate how much we love Spotlight and Robby! For our wedding we wanted a band who could do awesome pop and rock music, some of the more traditional Jewish music, and wouldn't cost us a crazy amount of money. It felt like an impossible task but we found Robby who was perfect (and he's also the nicest guy you'll ever meet). He got to know us, understood exactly what we wanted, learned some new songs for us, and he and his band delivered exactly the kind of mood we wanted for our ceremony and wedding. Everyone asked about them afterward, all our guests tell us to this day that our wedding reception was the most fun they've ever had. We've also had the chance to recommend him to close friends and have seen his band in other wedding settings where he's been similarly fun and totally on point. (Not to mention, when my business needed a musician for an event in only a few days' time, he helped us out at the last minute!). Just the nicest guy, with a crazy talented band, whose absolute priority is giving you the most meaningful day of your life.

Our daughter's wedding at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion was six years ago, and people are still talking about how fantastic the music was! We were absolutely thrilled with Spotlight Music, and working with Robby was great. He listened carefully to what sort of event the bride and groom envisioned, and what kind of music we wanted, and then he nailed it. He coordinated with the caterer and day-of planner so the flow of the reception was perfect -- timing dinner, dancing and speeches beautifully to keep the party going. One really important point is that the music was loud enough to be exciting, but never too loud for people to hear each other. In fact, Robby sought me out several times to make sure we were happy with the volume. As mother of the bride, I was able to enjoy the evening without worrying about running the show. From ceremony to reception, Spotlight Music really made it perfect. We've already booked them again for our other daughter's wedding!

Robby and his team were wonderful. He certainly knows what he's doing and made wonderful suggestions. He allowed us to make our own decisions without pressure, and took over the specifics when we didn't have an opinion or know what we wanted. He's got a sense of humor about it all and was a source of calm in a busy sea of vendors and contracts. He even helped me put together a last-minute musical surprise for my now-husband. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing music/DJ/audio services. LGBTQ+ friendly as well!

What can I say? Spotlight Music is truly one of the most INCREDIBLE bands I have ever had the opportunity to hear with my own ears. Robby is such an awesome band leader and one of the most talented musicians I’ve ever met (and I played music for 7 years professionally). All I can say is if you’re on the fence about booking a band, look no further. Spotlight Music is your best bet!

Robby was simply amazing. Easy to work with, extremely professional, thoughtful about our ceremony and reception, and innovative in proposing and preparing music that we (and our friends and family) loved. Spotlight provided the music for our wedding in La Quinta, CA. The band members travelled to the wedding from Los Angeles and did a great job. Robby consulted with us several times in conference calls to make sure we had the music we wanted. The music at the wedding was perfect. All of our guests commented on how great the band was. They played a mixture of Jewish and secular music that got the whole crowd dancing. We couldn't be happier that we chose Spotlight for our wedding band.

Spotlight Music was the best part of our wedding (other than the actual getting married part!) I cannot say enough good things about them. Robby, the owner, is so unbelievably knowledgable about all things music and can arrange any song you request. His energy and enthusiasm is unmatched. The musicians and singers are so talented and made each and every song sound better than the original. They had all of our guests on the dance floor and we are so grateful to them for making our celebration so memorable.
