Michele, our day of coordinator, made each step of the wedding day stress free and running on time. She was one of the first people there in the morning and the last to leave that night. She made sure we were feed, had space to breathe, got time with all of our friends and family, and had the time of our lives.

of coordination! At first, I thought I would only need day of coordination, but after talking with my mom, I chose to also utilize her planning services too! She is ultra-organized and has everything down to a science. She has great ideas and totally helped me brainstorm a bunch of cool and personal touches for the wedding day to make it feel more "US". I am so thankful for her and all she did for the wedding, especially since I was not only trying to organize a wedding in a different state (AZ to WA), but also I had just been laid off and was job searching and interviewing during this time. Dawnet made everything so easy that even though I was stressed with all the things going on in my personal life, I was able to easily buckle down and get the wedding stuff taken care of. She also has a great list of vendors that she can recommend if you are still needing people. Do yourself a favor and have Dawnet join your wedding team. You won't regret it one bit.
Also, just do yourself a favor and have her at least do your day of stuff. You don't want to have to deal with people, vendors, or legistoics on your big day. You planned so much, just relax and enjoy it!

ne of my favorite moments was when she somehow turned food truck served in those little paper baskets you'd find at a county fair into something that looked totally wedding-worthy on a proper plate. be done on the day of and the stress of the DOC not setting up the correct things and not having us walk out of the correct door (as rehearsed 4 times). I even made sure we set up most of the decor for the DOC the night of rehearsal.. (we had tables done, welcome table and arch done even pulled chairs out and lined them up in rows etc)
My family from out of town and my wedding party and photographer at that had to do most of the DOC’s work and to me that defeats the purpose of me even paying for the service.
I very much regret being okay with them sending anther employee that was not my actual DOC to rehearsal thinking they knew what they were doing and would communicate to each other.

ould like to address some of the concerns that you stated in the review. After speaking to both Coordinators involved and the Photographer, I have to say all were very surprised with the negative review. They all said that you and your guests seemed extremely happy with the services and on the day of; you even had conversation with the Day-of Coordinator about how excited you were for your honeymoon you were going on the next day. We truly value couples but we know this day is also special to our couples’ families as well. I would like to address the main concern regarding the door the wedding party walked through for the ceremony. The reason for the door change was due to guests moving furniture to allow more room for the dance floor for later that evening. We don’t like to overstep our boundaries, and since we were informed setup and décor was going to be taken in previous planning meetings our Coordinator did not want to overstep and move the table. The door the wedding party ended up walking through was more than sufficient and no more than a yard away from the original door you practiced out of. There was also a comment in the review made about having all of the setup done on the day of the rehearsal. You did express you were having your family do all of the set-up and you may just have a few welcome signs for our Coordinator to set-up. However, that was not the case. The Mother of the Bride brought in a large amount of items to set-up on the tables, which the tables were not completely set-up like stated at the rehearsal. Our Coordinator did help the Mother of the Bride with unpacking and setting up those items. The Mother of the Bride was also very grateful and very nice to our Coordinator and appreciated all of her help. Since we were not provided with a layout or floor plan, our Coordinator was unsure how to incorporate the décor items that were brought in. After speaking with the Photographer, I was informed that she did not help with any Coordinator duties. She expressed how fabulous and sweet our Day of Coordinator was. Many couples do value our services as we do like to go over and beyond for our couples. However, we do offer other services which give more support. Maybe one of your bigger packages would have been a better fit for you. We wish you the best as you start your new lives together.

If vendor communication issues came up, she was there to handle things, always very professionally. She has so much experience which really made me feel comfortable and helped ease my anxious bride mind when I was overthinking! On the day of, she was incredible, her and her son set things up perfectly and she was running around making sure everyone was on track. She also checked in with us frequently, brought us drinks and snacks so we could have some quiet time, carried the back of my dress so we could take pictures with the horses, did SO many things - she is a wedding superwoman! 😃 I didn't have to worry about anything or get asked much at all, I just got to enjoy our special day that went so fast, which is exactly what I wanted the most. d a every good system. We had a kick off meeting at the very beginning to set some expectations, and a budget planning meeting for set budget outlines. Then we would touch base about once a month to discuss what need to be done this coming month. She will provide some great recommendations for working on these. Then we would follow up on emails for questions I have during working on these tasks.
Michele is our day of coordinator. We had a meeting about 1 month ahead of the wedding. I was very stressed out around that time. I felt very nervous and very overwhelmed because it’s about the time to finalized all the details with every body. Right after the meeting with Michele, I felt I unloaded a ton of load off my shoulder. She knows exactly what is she doing. She though of all the details even some that I did not think about. She coordinated with all the vendors and my wedding parties for me to set everybody on the same page. On the wedding day. I did not stress about one single thing, Michele and Robin who is our assistant coordinator, worked together to lead all vendors and wedding party to run the show. I could not imagine anything could go any better on my wedding day. I had a perfect wedding, and A Piece of Cake Event team plays a big part of it!! I would recommend them to every one! (Yes, my future sister in law hired them. I cannot wait to see them next year!)

put on hold after postponing, but Dawnet was able to pick it right back up where we left off without missing a thing. I am so thankful and appreciative of her support through this time. Hiring her and her team was the best decision I could have made while planning my wedding. Dawnet was always available when I texted or emailed her, she made sure to be the point of contact for all my vendors so my inbox was not blowing up, and she scheduled everything for me so I just had to show up! Michele was my day-of coordinator and she was so professional. I did not even have to worry about any of the little details the day of because she took care of everything! I can honestly say I did not stress out (other than COVID stuff) while planning my wedding. This team is truly there for you and cares about making your day absolutely beautiful. time A Piece of Cake Events, specifically Dawnet and Michele, were incredibly flexible and helpful in making sure our "day-of" coordination was handled to perfection. We initially worked with Dawnet and due to a conflict in schedule on our final wedding date were transitioned over to Michele, which was a smooth and easy process and allowed us to feel confident our wedding was going to be coordinated to perfection. Throughout the day we didn't have a single worry and were able to relax and have fun while Michele helped to run the show in the background. Thank you again to the team and for all of your help and support over the past couple of years to make our wedding day so much fun!

mely glad we did that, it was worth every penny. I highly recommend moving around your budget if needed to hire her. We met with Dawnet a month before, and continued to communicate with her throughout the last month. She created a master schedule, coordinated the rehearsal, and was doing all of the little things the day of. She was absolutely incredible, and a pleasure to work with. I recommend her to all of my friends and family.

We were initially planning a destination wedding in Florida, spoke to 14 planners, hired 3, ended with 0. It seemed...
impossible to find a planner with the same communication style and vision for our wedding. All while trying to do so in the center of Covid just made matters even worse. From the moment we were engaged, the overwhelming stress overpowered the excitement we were suppose to be relishing in. This was sad to us.
So we decided to give up on our dream wedding idea, planned to marry in the woods behind our property because it was impossible to find a venue with the restrictions in place and pushed the date up. When I found Dawnet and told her we were getting married in two months, she didn't even blink an eye.
We purchased the partial planning packet but it seemed we had the premium package from day one! Dawnet planned literally everything start to finish, communicated and found all of our vendors, gave a personal recommendation for our beautiful venue and even provided me with TO-DO lists with time stamps and due dates-LOVED THAT! I can't tell you how many times Dawnet has told me along the way, "Relax, I will handle this. That's what you hired me to, remember?"
She and her team went above and beyond what we could have imaged. Her staff stepped in and provided a service that they typically don't do. Our day would have not been as magical as it was had we hired another planner. If you are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator (which what bride doesn't want answers right away?), skilled problem solver, someone with elegant taste, great listener and resourceful and just a great person all around-Dawnet is your gal.
Along this intense process, I truly felt I have acquired a new friend along way as well :)

ding. We had about 35 guests at an outdoor venue. When new covid-19 restrictions were issued in July and we had to move up the wedding two weeks (!!!), Dawnet sprung into action. Despite it being a smaller event, the big day didn’t feel like a compromise or like we were settling. It felt so special and perfect, largely because Dawnet found us all the vendors we needed. I had an awkward situation with a photographer and needed a replacement, and Dawnet found me an amazing photographer in no time! She has all the right connections. She also compiled a timeline and packet for the day of which my bridal party, family and vendors all referred to. On the day of, Michelle was our coordinator and she was also amazing. A Piece if Cake Events helped me plan and put on a truly special day that my husband and I will never forget. These are uncertain times but you can still have an amazing wedding if you use a little imagination and the right vendors. Thank you to APOC Events!
