I’m glad to hear that many elements of the evening met your expectations, and it was truly an honor to be part of such a special celebration for your daughter’s wedding. I also sincerely appreciate the gratuity you gave me that night—thank you again for that gesture. Reading your message, I almost feel like I should return it. It was a very fun crowd with lots of dancing, and there were several available areas where guests could step away and converse in peace while I focused on keeping the dance floor energized. I had no idea you felt the way you did, and I was never approached during the event about that. Had I known, I would have immediately adjusted. As it was, I simply responded to the energy and momentum I saw from the crowd on the floor. In fact, a large part of the music played throughout the night came directly from your daughter's custom playlist. She put a lot of time and thought into blending older classics with newer favorites, and I thought it was a fantastic list she provided. The guest response was really positive, and it was clear that her selections helped fuel the energy on the dance floor. I thought that was really nice because we love it when couples are involved with the music process as it helps us target their guests musically so that everyone has fun. Regarding the timing of events and transitions, we certainly understand how important it is to stay on schedule. That said, in a live event setting—especially when meals are still being served or guests aren’t quite ready—some flexibility is often necessary. We work closely with planners and vendors to stay on track, but sometimes delays are inevitable due to the natural flow of the evening and the dynamics of the room. I can understand how that may have looked from a distance. As for the dance floor energy, our goal is always to read the room and maintain a lively atmosphere that keeps guests engaged. We recognize that not every moment suits every guest, which is why we’re mindful of offering a balance—providing upbeat music for dancers while quieter areas remain available for those who prefer to talk. We also regret if announcements weren’t heard clearly. The outdoor speaker was designated specifically for cocktail hour and wasn’t configured to tap into the main sound system. That would have needed to be included in the original event contract. We absolutely would have been happy to provide that if discussed in advance. Thank you for allowing me to provide feedback from the other side of it all and I truly hope I have not offended you in any way with this response. That's not my intention as I just wanted to provide some clarity. Again, I genuinely appreciate your thoughts. Serving at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club is definitely a favorite of ours because the parties are always so much fun - not only to work them, but to see people enjoy them. Congrats to you and David.
