Joey Ikemoto Photography

s. On our wedding day, Kevin and Jonathan captured our wedding so beautifully! They were professional, attentive, flexible, creative, efficient, and an absolute joy to work with. They helped organize and position everyone nicely for the group shots and helped us coordinate wonderful couple photos, all while keeping us on time. We love the results and definitely recommend this studio for other couples to be!

his variety of artistic and breathtaking photos on his site from other weddings & events. As a fellow creative, I wanted someone that could see the possibilities and offer unique photos and he went above and beyond that! Joey really put us at ease with his fun energy & great sense of humor. We all had a great time laughing with our wedding party and everyone. Joey and his team are so friendly, creative and professional. We really appreciate how quickly Joey and Mr. Tracy responded to our questions in the beginning and in the consultation. Even with the heatwave in LA of our wedding weekend, our photos came out AMAZING. The love, joy and giddiness of that day is captured along with the little details in our centerpieces and other things that we made for our wedding. Here’s a few our favorite photos from the preview. We’re so excited to see the rest! We highly recommend Joey Ikemoto Photography!! Thank you so much Joey and team for everything!

ssional and knew the perfect places to get great shots! We scheduled a meeting and they were quick to respond and very accommodating. They answered all our questions and had great reference pictures to show weddings they have done and gave us time to make our decision. We booked them within 2 months of our wedding date so the fact that they were available and willing to shoot our wedding, was such a blessing! Day of: they were fully prepared with all the equipment they needed (including a latter for big group shots). We got our photo gallery a month after our wedding date with over 3,000 pictures!! I would recommend Joey Ikemoto Photography over and over again!!

sional, timely, and most importantly EXCELLENT at their craft. Our photo previews for our wedding left me in tears, and that is just the previews. Joey has a way of putting people at ease, and combine that with his amazing artistic vision and you're left with stunning images that capture the energy of a truly magical day.

ess enough how great Joey and his team are! Joey explained everything thoroughly, including the different pricing packages, what to expect the day of, etc, making the process straightforward. Mr. Tracy, his long-time friend and business partner, communicated with us promptly via email. On our wedding day, Joey sent his son Jonathon and his colleague, Koa. We were very impressed by their professionalism and talent, especially given their young age. It's clear that Joey is not only a great mentor but also a wonderful father. I highly recommend Joey Ikemoto; he and his team excel at capturing special moments, creating photos meant to be cherished for generations. Thank you again Joey and team for your amazing service!

ey works with are also friendly and professional, and it was great to see how hard they all worked. Joey's professionalism and bright energy kept us going. Needless to say, the photos turned out great - we were blessed with great weather on our wedding day and we love how clear and bright they turned out. We have no regrets in choosing Joey as our photographer, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

ographs, every aspect of the process was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we met, the photographer exuded a genuine passion for their craft and a sincere interest in understanding our vision for the big day. Their ability to connect with us on a personal level created a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, making it easy for us to express our desires and expectations. It was clear that they were not just there to take pictures but to tell our unique love story through their lens. On the wedding day itself, Joey's professionalism and attention to detail were truly impressive. They seamlessly navigated the ceremony and reception, capturing not only the significant moments but also the candid, heartfelt expressions that often go unnoticed. Their keen eye for composition and lighting transformed ordinary scenes into extraordinary memories, ensuring that each photograph felt like a work of art. One of the standout qualities of this photographer was their ability to capture the essence of our relationship. The emotions, the laughter, and the intimate moments were all immortalized in a way that felt authentic and true to us. Looking through the gallery, we were transported back to the joyous celebration of our love, and it was evident that Joey had an innate talent for encapsulating the magic of the day.

s team were able to produce. Joey was very efficient with the short amount of time we had before the start of the ceremony and worked well with our schedule. He even brought 2 extra photographers with him to shoot our ceremony, which we were so grateful for! While Joey and his team were very professional, they were also a ton of fun! Our entire bridal party commented on how great Joey was to work with. Joey was able to get a wide breadth of different shots which really gives life and variety to our album! We are so happy with all of the photographs from our wedding and highly recommend him and his team!

t choice! They were flexible with our day of timing and what we needed, and most importantly the photographers were so much FUN to work with the night of our wedding! We had a great time working with Jonathan and Koa, and have so many wonderful photos. There was a fast turnaround on the hundreds and hundreds of photos we received that it took me so long to properly go through them all, and when we do it is like we are reliving our wedding night! They captured all of our big moments and more beautifully. I would definitely use Joey Ikemoto again and hope to return in the future for our next photography needs!

his assistants provided extreme professionalism while at the same time having a very relaxed energy and way of doing things, which helped lower my stress levels. He’s so cool, calm and collected and also funny! They are prepared for everything that can arise, including Jonathon (his son) busting out a pair of scissors when he saw my lace sleeve was snagged. We had the best time working with them. I cannot recommend Joey Ikemoto Photography enough. They are the real deal!!! Traci in the office is amazing too! Thank you all so much 🙏

his staff made them comfortable and was very sensitive to everyone's needs. Joey is amazing with kids and did get even fussy kids to smile. He has been in business for decades and is a pro. Do not waste your time with amateurs...Joey is the best, hands down. He really tries to create the best results for you. Other photographers just go through the motions.

amera and were worried about looking stiff or out of sorts; however, Joey was able to make us feel comfortable and really listened to what we wanted to capture (artsy shots and candid moments). Another piece was how familiar Joey was with our venue, Wayfarers Chapel. Not only does he know how to get the best angles/shots, but he also was very well versed with the short timeline the venue allows (2 hours from start to finish). This was invaluable because he made the best use of the time and planned out every moment with us. He even had a written timeline all planned out to ensure we got every photo we wanted. I cannot recommend Joey Ikemoto Photography enough.

tographers took out his "emergency kit" and gave her a bobby pin. They went above and beyond to make our wedding photo dreams come true. They knew how to make us and our wedding party laugh and captured authentic, special, and heartfelt moments that are now going to be lifelong memories we can carry with us. We are so appreciative of them and feel so blessed to have found them for our special day! - The Sealey's

ssional and knowledgable and highly organized in helping us prepare for capturing all our desired photos of our wedding day. We worked together on a detailed timeline and he executed against our list and made sure all artistic wedding shots were completed. Joey is a real pro and we choose him for his reputation of working with our venues and knowing of their standards, requirements and schedules which really kept us on track. His team was able to turnaround a preview of photos within 2 weeks and we were very pleased with viewing the starters! I highly recommend him for his wedding work especially if you are having a wedding at Wayfarer's Chapel. Thank you Joey and Kevin and team for helping us collect memories of our wedding day!

he location which put me at ease. I wanted sunset pictures overlooking the ocean, and he knew exactly where to take those. He is very detailed and easy going. He had us laughing during our consultation. Our pictures came out beautiful!!! I would definitely have Joey & his team back for other events!

r my wedding on May 6, 2023. Joey and his assistants were easy to work with and made the day much more enjoyable. The pictures they took look fantastic and I’m excited to share them with all of my family and friends. I highly recommend his services to anyone that needs a professional photographer for a special event.

ur photos less than a week after our wedding and were blown away by the beauty of our photos. Tears came to our eyes. Joey and his team perfectly captured the joy of our day. The chapel photos are breathtaking. He had great suggestions for photo shots/locations and was open to trying some unique shots. Joey and his team also captured the warm and loving vibe of our reception perfectly. If you have any question about working with Joey and his team, don’t. You will not be disappointed!

tual day, Joey got everyone laughing with his sense of humor and was prepared with bubbles for the young ones. The pictures also turned out spectacular with many beautiful and creative shots of the wedding ceremony and reception and the team definitely put some elbow grease into getting those shots as they helped hold down and readjust our wedding dress in the wind for the best photos and went above and beyond with their photography equipment. Definitely recommend! Couldn’t have asked for a better vendor!

turned out fantastic. Everything worked smoothly at both venues. Couldn't have been happier. I recommend Joey and his team whole heartedly.

for perfect backgrounds and the photos are beautiful! Joey had recommendations for other services we were able to include such as a DJ and photo booth and worked hard to help coordinate and time the entire evening. I would highly recommend using Joey Ikemoto Photography for any wedding or event!

oo beautiful. Would highly recommend. No regret!!!

the process and has the system down to a science, but he’s a professional and can shoot anywhere. The pictures are beautiful and range from candid to artistic; one of ours resembles the poster to The Princess Bride for crying out loud. You meet them a few weeks prior to the wedding and Joey helps break down the day into 15 minute intervals for which photos are happening at which time, with whom, and how long you have to travel to all points in-between. If you have a DJ, Hair & Makeup, Wedding Coordinator, whatever, he can coordinate with them too (or modify his schedule) to make sure the timeline works for everyone. It’s awesome to have candid photos taken by friends on the day, but it’s worth the cost to have a professional get the shots you didn’t know you needed. And if you’re still on the fence, he works with a batman utility belt and was able to help me bustle my dress when all other options failed.

that they had availability. Jonathan came out on our wedding day and did a magnificent job! We also had Joey for our engagement session. They are professional, on-time, easy to work with, and fun! We are hoping to continue working with Joey in the future!

ing day being special and memorable. Needless to say regarding his high quality photos, but also their customer service is very satisfaction from beginning to follow up after the wedding.

reat photos. During the photoshoots, he was decisive in our shots and provided excellent direction/feedback when needed. He was a consummate professional through and through and it shined especially with his sense of time management. Joey is detail oriented so I expected us to be on time with the photoshoot schedule, which was at several different locations prior to the ceremony. What I didn’t expect was that we would be ahead of schedule! Watching Joey operate during crunch time was impressive. He had a clear vision for each shot/location and executed without hesitation, all while dealing with challenging lightning conditions at times. We appreciated arriving to the ceremony venue earlier than expected so we could take a beat to re-group. Another significant aspect we noticed was his overall presence. Joey was just a joy to be around. He was incredibly friendly and personable which resonated with many in our wedding members and guests. Ultimately, he allowed us to feel comfortable in the space which undoubtedly contributed to a better photo for everyone. Overall, we had an incredible time with Joey and we think he enjoyed our company as well. We highly recommend Joey for your photography needs. We had very memorable experience with him and couldn’t imagine hiring anyone else for our wedding day.

e posing, which was helpful. I loved that he wrote up a timeline for us so we always knew where we were supposed to be and when. We actually ended up 15 mins ahead of schedule by the time we arrived for our wedding thanks to his planning, and my wedding planner was so impressed! I'd absolutely recommend him if you're considering a photographer. Also, his assistant was nice too, very friendly and considerate. Five stars all around!

f a favor and make sure to hire him! He will make everyone laugh and help you have an amazing wedding day. We would definitely recommend him to any of our friends and family that are getting married.

fessionalism and scheduling was top notch. If you or your partner are bad at keeping to a timely schedule and are worried the day of, have no fear. Joey breaks down the entire time he will be with you to ensure that not only do you end up with the most beautiful and creative photos but that you have the time to get the shots you are truly going to want. We had 7 kids in our wedding all under the age of 7, he managed to get perfect wedding party shots with all of the kids not only looking but also smiling. His right hand, Tracy is also fantastic, promptly communicates and is very thorough. We came in from out of state and they were the easiest and most stress free of all the vendors we dealt with. If you are looking for an incredible photographer look no further. We will absolutely be using Joey and his team again.

alue to me that my (now) husband gifted me). The photos truly did take our breath away. The photographers were empathetic (like having me stand in the shade when it wasn't my turn for pictures) and were very personable. I don't usually like taking photos, but this honestly was a FUN experience. Thank you so much for making the most incredible memories of our special day. The memories we have that will be passed down through generations are worth every penny. If there is anything to invest in for a wedding, it's definitely the photographer! Thank you, Joey and team!!!

him for our big day. We are so glad we did because every minute & moment of our wedding was documented by Joey & his team. They kept it professional and had great vibes the whole event. The photos were delivered quickly and we even got a sneak peak before receiving the whole batch. We definitely recommend Joey for his expertise & eye for detail. He’s extremely easy to work with, communication was on point & he overdelivered! https://www.instagram.com/p/Ce2jQGyL287/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

o commemorate your special day, plus the unexpected with stunning and truly unique photos - look no further.

y work with them again.

perienced. With a short time frame, he still put us at ease. Taking down names of family, and even returning to the reception to make sure he caught everyone important on film. I was so stressed being late to the church (which I do not recommend) he still found the artisitic moments we were hoping for. The staff at the church even said we chose wisely which put me at ease. I am so happy with the photos, Joey, and his team! Magic!

g pictures! Joey got him to smile and relax during our engagement pictures. When our wedding came around my husband felt comfortable being around him and the camera. He was professional and fun! He did an amazing job with my little nephews and our flower girl. He engaged with all of our guests and made them feel comfortable in front of the camera. My guests are still talking about Joey and our beautiful pictures. Tracy was super helpful throughout the process and was easy to communicate with. I highly recommend booking him and his team!

day. Worked seamlessly with both venues for the ceremony and reception as well as the DJ and reception staff. Selecting Joey was one of our best decisions for our wedding planning.

ed us immensely throughout the entire process. From going through the wedding timeline to their incredible photographers scoping out the venue beforehand, the thoroughness and professionalism that the staff showed made our experience wonderful, not to mention, the photos came out amazing! Thank you so much to Joey and his team for capturing our special days!

h pros and captured us during our special day in the best way.  Joey and his team instilled such confidence in us and we knew that we were in their very good and capable hands during such a stressful and fun day.  Looking back through our photos is so great because we're reminded of the magic that we had on that day, even when it rained.  I also appreciate the reliable communication; Traci is great about responding to my emails and phone calls right away.  Thank you for the wonderful customer service!

edgeable and helpful. Not only is he an incredible photographer and artist--he also helped us schedule out our wedding day so that we could get beautiful photo opportunities at different locations without an ounce of stress. Joey made our wedding day run smoothly and provided us memories of our day that could only be produced by a true artist. Friends and family, myself and my husband are all aghast at the sheer beauty of our wedding photos. You absolutely cannot go wrong by commissioning Joey Ikemoto photography to shoot your big day. He is the best that the business has to offer.

you are looking for a team of experts for your wedding don't look any further. Their work is beyond compare. Believe me when I say his work is true artistry.

out amazing and some look like they are from a fairy tale. He has a great understanding of what looks good for a photograph. We would absolutely recommend!

professional while also being super fun, friendly, and easy to work with! He was able to make both my partner and I feel super comfortable while taking some really amazing shots of us. Behind the scenes, Tracy was able to enhance and be the creative eye for our album! He was extremely patient and flexible with us while we were choosing photos for our wedding album. His vision in creating and designing the album went above and beyond what we had expected! Highly recommend Joey Ikemoto Photography and his dream team- we could not have asked for a more responsive and professional team!

want for the package instead of getting only fixed prints. And everyone in this studio is so friendly and they communicate with you through the whole process. We had Joey as our photographer and he always has the most positive energy, and he was always making us laugh during the photos. He kept everything organized and provided a breakdown of the schedule of what pictures will be taken and when. We loved that because the time frame helped keep everyone around us organized and on track with what else needs to be done and by when. He also lets you request specific pictures you want, such as Kevin (the groom) wanted a photo of him and all his siblings while I (Cindy - the bride) wanted a photo with all the little nephews and one with the crowd I had grown up with. This is a little detail I love because not all the groom’s siblings and my little nephews live in the area or even the state, and the crowd I grew up with I do not get to see as often because they have all moved, so getting photos with them was extremely important to both of us. On the day of the wedding, he came in a 2-man team. It was him (Joey) and another one of his associates named Kevin (funny watching both the groom and a photographer answer when you called out the name Kevin). They arrived early and we loved the energy they came in with. They came prepared for everything that day. They were able to keep my nephews smiling for all their photos with bubbles and great energy and tools just in case anything broke, and they were able to fix something that went wrong with my necklace. To add to this is Kevin (The groom) and myself have never really taken professional photos, but he kept us laughing and relaxed and was able to ease the nerves, so the photos felt more natural rather than a forced pose. I absolutely love that they talk to you too while taking the photos. There was absolutely no silence or awkward pauses. All the photos they were giving you ways to move and talking to you, like actual conversation. And they are so nice giving compliments the entire time. We got the preview of the wedding day pictures a little bit ago and they look AMAZING!!! We could not be happier with the way the pictures came out. He and his team captured some of the best moments and the pictures came out beautiful. Everything from the engagement shoot to the day of the wedding was beyond perfect. We cannot say enough positive things about Joey or his studio. They were amazing and we could not have asked for a better photographer for our big day.

emoto and saw his work at his office we didn't have any doubt! Joey Ikemoto Photography is absolutely the best in the business! We were very impressed by their organization, professionalism, experience, attention to details, and way of working. We had so many questions, but Joey and his assistants made the wedding run so smoothly, and we had a lot of fun with them in the process! We love our photos and the way Stacy put them together in the album at the office. We definitely suggest Joey for any special event!

did not need to hire a coordinator for my microwedding because Joey mapped out our wedding day timeline in 15 minutes increments. He was a pleasure to work with!
