They immediately got to work on my alterations and went above and beyond to accommodate fittings that didn’t disrupt my very busy work schedule, despite the short timeline. ain. My vision was to cut off the train and add an overskirt to have two different styles and they made my vision come to life. The main gown looks incredible with the long line of buttons ending perfectly at the hem and you never would’ve know we changed up the style-the structure of the bottom looks so gorgeous and the overskirt was hemmed perfectly to fit me. It also allows me to not have to bustle my primary gown because it’s detachable for dinner/reception. Working with Karen and her team was so lovely. Karen’s pinning is just incredible, she takes such pride in her work and it shows in the final product. I felt so welcomed and had an amazing experience, I went in uncertain what I was envisioning would work, but left feeling so confident and beautiful in my gown!

I traveled from out of state to come get my wedding dress worked on by them and it was worth all the time and money. They made the experience so fun and perfect. pensive designer bridal dress for alterations. Karen was always very pleasant and we were so happy with our first appointment but it went downhill from there. Karen takes the measurements and does the pinning and then dictates directions into her phone to be done by her staff. That is where the disconnect comes in. Karen is not doing the majority of the work and you may have someone working on it who she is training. She is also not following up checking the work done. It is fair to say the work looked shoddy. Basically, almost everything that was done was done incorrectly. We brought the dress in 4 months early because we made it clear we wanted the dress at least 2 weeks before the wedding. Fittings were incorrect, appointments canceled and delayed. She took the joy out of having a dream wedding dress experience. Truly was a nightmare. They basically had to redo all the shoddy work the last appointment which was less than 48 hours to the wedding. To name a few of the errors: waist taken in too tight, zipper and hook in the back put back so it was sticking out exposed for all to see where before it was seamless, random threads everywhere, scrunched up siding that should be smooth, the bustle was 100% wrong and not what we discussed and straps were not adjusting correctly as we discussed. Meanwhile we missed dinner with out of town family guests because we had to wait for this dress for 4 hours and retry it on again with more corrections! The had 4 months to work on the dress and practically had to redo everything in the last 48 hours and acted as if they were doing us a favor by working late to finish it. The bustle did not stay up for the wedding. The buttons were sewn on loose and the snaps for the under layers did not stay snapped. My daughter had to go into the bathroom 3 times to literally sew the dress together. Disappointment is an understatement and I would NEVER recommend taking any dress there for alterations. I also feel we should get a refund for the almost $900 she charged but I am certain that won’t happen since it was already paid in full.

The quality of work was immaculate and the service is top notch. I am trruly going to miss seeing them every other month. I can't thank them more for taking one less item off my plate to worry about. Please give them a call, you will NOT regret it for a second!!! Love you Karen and team!!

I tried one more dress place which was called Karen Hendrix Couture. I really had lost all hope in finding a dress at this point, but I decided to contact them anyway. When I first got there. Every appointment with Karen was fun, exciting to the mind, and filled with love, hard work and care for all I wanted in my dress. My dress turned out amazing. It was more than I expected it to be and I feel like I owe Karen more than what my dress was worth due to all the hard work she put into my dress and the indescribable feeling I felt when I put my dress on the day of my wedding. I enjoyed my experience so much with Karen that I still keep in touch with her months after my wedding. Look no further, if you are looking for someone to make a dress perfect for you!

r a mother of the groom dress for my son’s wedding and could not find the perfect one for me. Karen Hendrix Couture came highly recommended to me and I saw where she created beautiful mothers gowns. In my first consultation appointment with Karen she made a sketch using the ideas that were most important to me. She assured me that we could accentuate the positive attributes of my figure and erase the negative. She took 23 measurements to assure a perfect fit. I chose a beautiful soft gray matte satin fabric with a matching chiffon overlay. The movement was important to me because of my mother- son dance. The next step in this process, she is making a wearable muslin pattern. This will be the first time that I will see my actual dress. In this step she is altering it to me to insure a perfect fit. The next step in this process is the first fabric fitting. This is where we set the details for the final design. The Final fitting will be the finished gown. The wedding is in July and I will be sending my second review along with the pictures of my beautiful gown. Thank you Karen for being the answer to my prayers.

s style wedding gown(that had 12 layers of toule underneath the skirting) She also did my MOB gown as well as my MOG gown(for my son’s wedding). From the moment I met Karen;I knew I was in good hands. Her knowledge, time and care she spent on our dresses as we discussed what needed to be done was so thorough. She was so creative with design ideas on my dresses. I trusted her because she as such impeccable taste and has so much knowledge with couture dress design. It was one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever worn. When it was my turn to get married, she altered my dress and made me feel like a princess because it fit like a glove on my wedding day. Unfortunately, I went through a divorce in 2018 but I found the most amazing man I've ever met in 2020 and will be marrying him in June of 2023!!! I was so excited to call Karen and get on her schedule to not only do my alterations but help me create two looks with my dress, one for the ceremony and one for the reception. We have been talking about adding sleeves or a large overlay skirt to my dress that can be removed for the reception and I am SO EXCITED! I know she will make all of my wedding dress dreams come true!!! And, she can do it for you, too! You will NOT go wrong hiring her! YOU WILL LOVE HER JUST LIKE I DO!!!!
