Words can not express how amazing and talented Kindra and Holly are! lets start from the beginning.....they helped me plan a surprise wedding in only 28 days and it was simple incredible, it was a dream of all dreams coming true. they went above and beyond to make my day special and make sure that I had only the best. I absolutely loved working with them, not only because they were so professional, but because they were down to earth, fun and incredibly kind!!! It was amazing how fast they worked to put everything together and how absolutely gorgeous everything turned out. It's been a little over a month since I got married and the wedding is all my family and friends can talk about! How we pulled of the surprise, how beautiful the space looked, how amazing everything was! I would HIGHLY recommend using these to for your next party...I don't think I could have ever planned my wedding without using these to and I am so extremely grateful and blessed that they were there to help :). they will forever be my go to girls when I need a party or a surprise planned!
Unfortunately I live 6 hours from where our wedding was, so I really wasn't as involved in the wedding planning as most brides are, but without Simple Elegance it wouldn't have worked out as smoothly as it did. I tend to be a type A person, so it was hard for me to "let go" and let them do their job, but once I got into the wedding day, it made all the difference in the world to have them there.
I could not have made my daughter's dream winter wedding come true without the help of Simple Elegance, and especially Erin, the coordinator! Erin was very sweet and easy to work with, and she was right there to help out with anything I asked of her. An elegant, romantic, perfect winter wedding!
From our first meeting with Holly, Kimberly and I knew we were going to use her services. When I had to click a category above to put this review in, I wanted to click everything. Holly Davidson helped us in every aspect of our wedding. She took the time to get to know us and made fantastic suggestions for vendors, saving us hours of time searching thru vendors to line up. She streamlined the process for us while suggesting vendors we came to love and they all did a fantastic job. Holly had everything timed down to the minute, kept the schedule for us and had answers for every question. She asked questions we would have never known to ask, made suggestions that handles issues before they could become an issue and was always one step ahead of the game. Holly is the ultimate professional and helped plan a wedding that we're extremely proud of and a perfect day for us. Her positivity the day of was contagious. Nothing was ever an issue. I often looked at her with a blank face as I was unsure of the next step and she'd just smile and guide me along. We told Holly at the conclusion of our wedding that we were going to miss working with her as we had become pretty close and we both consider her a friend. Its a special quality she has to work with people, make them feel comfortable, get to know them and plan something that fits their unique tastes. She's fantastic..her team is remarkable.. and there is no way we would have had the wedding we did without her. She impacted every aspect of our wedding! If there is anything I would do again and again for my wedding it would be to use Holly Davidson and Simple Elegance. My parents live in Kansas City, which is where our wedding was, but when my husband proposed to me, he was in the process of moving to Seattle, and I was living in Chicago, only to move to Seattle as well. When my mom and I sat down to start planning the wedding, I realized we had absolutely no idea where to start. There were WAY too many options and WAY too many price differences... The emotions were HIGH, but then we made the best decision to be made during the wedding planning process, we looked into wedding planners.
Our first meeting with a wedding planner was with Holly Davidson from Simple Elegance, and IMMEDIATELY we KNEW she was a perfect fit. (We even signed our contract AT that meeting!). She was extremely organized and professional, but what really made the difference was at that first meeting, even without being an official client, she was already providing me with advise, guidance, and reassurance.
I am a very detailed oriented person and ask a million questions; however, I am also extremely indecisive. And with these qualities, Holly was AMAZING! She answered every question, never getting frustrated or minimizing any of their significance. She always provided me with just a few options - not giving me too many to choose from - and if there wasn't something that caught my eye, she would find other options. She was honest, giving me pros and cons for different ideas I had, but never swaying me any direction.
Wedding planning out of state can make things difficult, because decisions need to be made without visuals or in person communication, but Holly was extremely accommodating. Besides emailing me DAILY, Holly called frequently to simply check in and make sure I felt good about our progress. She always found a way to arrange ALL of my meetings in the few shorts days I could travel home. She took care of all the vender communication, leaving me with just creating the vision.
What also stuck out with Holly was the relationship she created not just with me, but with my husband as well. My husband is an urban design, architect, with a very modern taste. I, however, am very traditional. This difference made things difficult when it came to the reception venue, floral displays, and more, and what we found was I was only familiar with the companies in Kansas City who had been around forever. Holly, however, talked with countless venders, explaining our styles, and introduced us to local, extremely talented venders. The group of venders we ended up using were beyond incredible, yet we may not have found them without the help of Holly.
Finally, I want to mention the wedding weekend itself. I had heard from countless previous brides how hectic their wedding weeks were, from their rehearsals to the day of to the reception itself, so that was what I was prepared for, but my wedding weekend SHOCKED me by how smooth and enjoyable it was. Holly had every detail in order with every vender aware of these details. I was able to enjoy EVERY minute of EVERY wedding event. I have been a bridesmaid in other weddings, but I have never been so calm walking down the aisle. I knew nothing was going to go wrong.
I think back on my wedding every day. It literally took my breath away. Holly Davidson and Simple Elegance helped me create my dream wedding, and a weekend that I will always remember as the best time of my life!
My daughter and I worked with Erin Webb, from Simple Elegance, as our "day-of" wedding planner. She was terrific. She was always calm, always in control. As a result, my daughter and I could fully enjoy the wedding day without being worried about vendors, about timing, about coordination of all the million details that had to fall in place for the wedding events to be fun and successful. As I look back now at the pictures, I see how relaxed everyone was and how happy and joyful all the smiles are. Thanks to Erin and her team - we all had a magical and memorable day. I would recommend Erin without hesitation and, if my second daughter gets married in Kansas City, I will most certainly use her again.
My husband, family, and I are so happy with the service provided to us by Simple Elegance and our wedding coordinator Lisa. She helped me pull together my fairytale wedding in a matter of months and we could not have done it without her. Lisa provided everything from vendor recommendations to emotional support and I am truly grateful she was there the entire time on my wedding day to keep everything running smoothly and on schedule. I would recommend Simple Elegance 100%!
Holly Davidson's wedding coordination expertise is amazing! She is very professional, super organized, trustworthy and dependable. She is very personable, works well with all the vendors and is highly respected by them, and goes above and beyond to make your wedding day special. Holly was always readily available by phone or email throughout the planning process. Holly and her assistant, Amanda, orchestrated a smooth, stress free wedding day for my daughter, Lauren. It was the "wedding of our dreams' for Lauren and Kory. We could not have done it without the assistance of Holly and Amanda. Thank you, Holly. You are amazing!
Lisa Forbes at Simple Elegance was great to work with. She coordinated and organized the Day for me and it went so smoothly. She answered questions from the vendors and kept me on top of what was happening and what I had left to do. It was such a relief to let her take care of last minute details and to know they would be taken care of.
On our wedding day, Lisa and Lauren arrived on time and guided us through the rehearsal and everything up to the ceremony.
I really appreciate the work she did ahead of time and on my wedding day.
Working with Simple Elegance is a way to insure your wedding will go off with only one hitch and that's the hitch that happens at the altar. They are professional, thorough, work with a great sense of anticipation to cover all bases and most of all, do it because they enjoy it. Holly and Lindsay both have so many great qualities it's hard to narrow them down! From the first day I knew I picked the right people, they were very hands on and involved during the entire planning process without being overbearing. They had great ideas and input which is exactly what I needed being that I have never planned a wedding before. We bought the full package which I found well worth it and looking back I wouldn't pick any other option. The peace of mind knowing that everything, including the wedding day has a "director" is crucial. The day of the wedding everything went off without a hitch thanks to Holly and Lindsay. Even if something would of happened I never would of known because these two capable, intelligent women would fix it immediately. Thank you for all your hard work, you both made my day absolutely perfect!!
This company was great! Very professional, nice and organized! I used their services for day-of, and my day-of was amazing!! I left the final touches of making my reception decor look good after all of the vendors had come and gone before my guests arrived, and my coordinator did a wonderful job, everything looked so pretty and perfect! There was an issue with my assigned seating arrangement..I had come in the day before and arranged all of the tables and chairs, and when I arrived that night the people were not sitting where I wanted them at all...not sure what happened or who was at fault there. I also thought that for what this team had to do for me, the price was a bit high. Overall, for the quality of the finished product, I would highly recommend using Simple Elegance! I would definitely trust this team with your big day!!!
I am so thankful that we chose Holly Davidson to assist with our wedding. She is very talented and is extremely professional and organized. She was a wealth of knowledge during the planning process- providing vendor ideas and making suggestions on how to do things. The weeks leading up to the wedding, Holly was invaluable. I never felt stressed about logistics or plans cause I knew Holly had everything taken care of. Her coordination on the day of was impeccable. She was on top of every detail and kept us right on schedule throughout the day. Her upbeat, positive attitude allows her to communicate with everyone well- guests and vendors alike. Her willingness to go above and beyond really sets her apart- and she does this all while still remaining in the background and not really “seen” which I find quite remarkable. Holly planned my daughter's wedding and there was no way that we could have done it on our own. She is very sweet, nice,creative and organized. She makes sure that all the vendors do what they are supposed to do.Her vendor suggestions were perfect. She helped us plan the wedding of my daughter's dreams and we can't say enough wonderful comments about her. She had great help on the day of the wedding from 2 coworkers. I feel that Holly is the best wedding planner in Kansas City.She listens to what you want and then makes it happen. She not only was our wedding planner, but also,became a special friend.
Kindra and her staff are awesome. All planning meetings were stress free and actually fun. Kindra is super organized and full of great ideas. Her staff works very hard behind the scenes and always followed up with all we asked them for. On wedding day, it was stress free. Awesome Company!!
We used Kindra from Simple Elegance for our day-of-coordinator. Although we already had our vendors booked and many to-do's crossed off the list, we knew we needed someone to ensure the wedding day ran smoothly. Kindra Browne did just that! We met with her in advance to go over the details of our day. She helped fine-tune the wedding day timeline, created a bridal party booklet with all the important information, and communicated with our vendors to ensure everything was taken care of. On the day of, Kindra and her assistant were professional and prepared for anything. It was such a relief knowing they were present to handle all situations so our families could celebrate stress-free! I would definitely recommend Kindra and her team to any bride or groom!
I can’t put into words how amazing Holly Davidson is! We hired Holly for our July 2013 wedding after her name came up several time from vendors. Each one of them said “you have to hire Holly Davidson.” After meeting with her once, we knew she was the planner for us. Holly is organized, kind, funny, compassionate, and creative. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her and will miss the wedding planning process because of her. I was not convinced at the time of my engagement that I needed a full-service wedding planner, but we decided to go with the full-service package because we had a long (18 months) engagement and to put my mother’s fears at ease. In the end, I am so happy we made this decision. At the end of each monthly meeting I had a checklist of tasks that needed to be completed. Holly was always available between meetings for questions/concerns. Holly also provided a list of vendors that matched my vision. She recommended vendors that I might not have necessarily known about on my own. She recommended our amazing paper vendor and florist and many more. A few weeks before our wedding we were having communication/incorrect reception detail issues with our reception venue and this is where Holly really shined. She was a true advocate for us in this situation and I know that I could not have dealt with this situation independently. Holly was cool and calm and helped resolve the situation so we could enjoy the day. I could go on and on about Holly, but nobody wants to read a long post, but if you are considering hiring a wedding planner, please hire Holly. You will have an amazing wedding!!!!
We hired Holly Davidson almost immediately after we got engaged in September 2012 to help plan our June 2013 wedding. Holly planned my now sister-in-law's wedding so I knew she was good but in the coming months I would find out just how fabulous she is first hand!
As a bride, I hadn’t been planning my dream wedding since I was 5 so many decisions were difficult for me, specifically bringing all of my ideas together (thanks to Pinterest, there is more pressure planning a wedding than ever!). Holly helped us through every step from selecting vendors to helping make our visions a reality on wedding day. Holly has an incredible gift of guiding brides, grooms and mothers through (sometimes tough) decisions that work for everyone! I can honestly say the wedding would not have come together as well or felt as personal to us without Holly.
Aside from vendors and our vision, Holly provided timelines and to do lists to keep us on schedule, tracked our budget and invoices, coordinated and attended vendor meetings from the very beginning through the wedding day and most importantly kept everyone stress free to enjoy all of the wedding festivities. She is unbelievably talented at what she does, and it shows!
The week of the wedding Holly made final contact with the vendors before the big day and attended the rehearsal to make sure everything ran smoothly. The day of the wedding Holly and her team were AMAZING! The families, wedding party, groom and I enjoyed the entire day stress free enjoying every moment as it came and not worrying about the little things. I was stunned to walk into our venue and see all of our countless ideas, meetings and decisions pay off – the room was absolutely beautiful!
I speak for both families when I say hiring Holly was the best money we spent on the entire wedding. We can’t thank her or Simple Elegance enough for their wonderful service! No matter what type of wedding you are imagining (or in my case, not imagining), you can’t go wrong with the team at Simple Elegance!
My Mom's gift to my husband and I was to hire Simple Elegance to help with the final planning and day of our wedding. It was, by far, the best gift we received. We had Erin Webb as our planner. She far exceeded anything I thought a wedding planner could help us with. We had four food vendors, a hotel where the ceremony was, a reception site, a photo booth, a DJ, a florist, a cake company, etc to manage. Erin took over on ALL communication and had everyone timed perfectly for delivery and set up. Erin also went above and beyond to help make our ceremony beautiful since the hotel we held it at could have cared less. She handled things I know weren't in her job description, but she did them with such a great attitude. The day went flawlessly and my husband and I had the time of our lives. Erin and her team made sure everything fell in to place and that all 500 guests had a wonderful time. Everyone I have talked to has said this was the best wedding they've ever been to. I have Erin and Simple Elegance to thank for a lot of that. Their management is top notch. My husband says there is a fairly certain chance we wouldn't have been married that day if it weren't for Erin. I can't thank them enough for all their hard work and attention to detail. Hiring Simple Elegance to coordinate our wedding was one of the best decisions my husband and I made while planning our wedding. We had our own wedding coordinator, Erin, to call on for our every need and question. We opted for the 3-month package, so Erin took over coordination of our wedding three months before the big day. From that point on, Erin took care of all of the communication with our vendors. She also created our wedding day timeline, and established communication with our wedding party through newsletter. Since Erin coordinated our rehearsal and wedding ceremony, my husband and I were free to relax a enjoy our wedding weekend. Simple Elegance took care of everything!
