They even let my dad sing a song and my brother play on the keys during my first dance with him. Everyone at our wedding said they've never seen so much dancing at a wedding before - the band even joined us to party at our after party!! Day served as MC, introducing our wedding speakers and keeping the evening moving along, and Joie and Dale as the two other singers also went beyond the call of duty. For example, at the reception we included a special song sung by the Father of the Bride, and the 3 singers showed great care in preparing back-up singing for the song, which brought the house down. Rob Affuso and Steve Rust were terrific and easy to work with in the months leading up to the wedding, and our daughter and groom greatly enjoyed working with them as well for song selection. The band even pulled off a Taylor Swift song on the fly which wasn't in their regular repertoire, but you'd never know it the way they performed it. Bottom line: Soulsystem delivered an A++ experience... terrific music, high energy, fabulous vibe through the evening. In every interaction we had with band leaders and performers leading up to the wedding and throughout the evening, their joy for music and their desire to make our wedding experience special shined through.

They tailored the set list to match what we envisioned for music (as we're both from Jersey, they ended the night with a few Bruce songs, which just sent everyone into a frenzy) while also bringing their own guidance, flare and intuition to the design of the night. We had our dinner and dancing in separate rooms, and I was concerned about the smoothness of the transition from one space to the next. Two members of the band preformed a brass second-line to lead all guests into the dancing space. It was epic. We've had many guests reach out to us since the wedding, and every reflection from the wedding includes, "and that BAND. Oh my god. How/when can we see them preform again." The night would not have been everything that it was to us without this band. We are so grateful, and we cannot recommend them enough!!!!!

Not sure how it's possible, but besides traveling 1500 miles to be with us, they were even better than everyone remembered and helped make a party that will never be forgotten. People can't stop talking about them. Their talent exceeded any wedding band we, or anyone there, had ever heard --and we have professional performers (friends and family) who were in attendance. We all marveled at how the band seamlessly transitioned from song to song without stopping. How the vocals sent chills down our spines because they were so jaw-droppingly good. How they delivered flawless musicianship for hours on end. And, for us, how the positive energy they shared was palpable throughout the room. STOP LOOKING. THEY ARE YOUR BAND!
