e liked Joe so well. But Nancy did not disappoint. She was professional, responsive to our questions and was working towards making the day perfect. Although it was very warm, we had the wedding and reception outside. The wedding pavilion looked beautiful and the white chairs set up by the trellis looked stunning with the natural scenery. I have to say that every staff member at Timber Ridge performed professionally and met all our needs as quickly as we asked for something. The food was very good! We also had a few guests who are Muslim. They could not eat prior to sunset and the staff made special arrangements to keep their food warm and a private place for them to eat. These guests commented to me how much they appreciated this consideration. We could not have had better service and everything was beautiful.

Regardless, they were extremely accommodating, allowing us to have family attend the tasting, as well as Skyping with us to hammer out the details of the event. We were planning on having the event be outdoors under their beautiful pavilion, but Michigan weather said otherwise. We moved the reception indoors into their equally beautiful banquet room very last minute, yet you would have thought that's what we had always planned! The room was spacious and bright, and the staff was very attentive and helpful, yet inconspicuous. It was a lovely evening, and I am so very thankful for the staff and Timber Ridge for helping make it happen!

The grounds are beautiful, the wedding coordinator Cathy was excellent, and it was the best wedding food I've ever tasted. I never would have thought I would have pot roast at my wedding but after trying it at the tasting it was some of the best meat I ever had. Everyone told me just how good the food was. I also had the pasta bar and that was good as well.
The only downsides are that the dance floor is small and you have to rent the chairs for the ceremony. The alcohol is a little pricey. I recommend doing a package I did the beer and wine package which saved a little. I think anywhere you go they're gonna get you with those costs.

The banquet facility has gorgeous views all around and a great set-up with a seperate dining/dancing and bar area. It made it easier for people to mingle during the reception because they didn't just have to stay in their seats. The dance floor is a little too small and stuck in the corner- but if you're out there having a good time you barely even notice.
The food was EXCELLENT! My husband and I were worried because usually food at weddings is just mediocre, but we got the pasta bar and would highly recommend it! We had so many people tell us how good the food was that we sent our compliments to the chef.
The only major problem I had with Timber Ridge was that we were told different things when we went to visit/book and then when it actually came time for them wedding. For example, we opted not to do an open bar but instead buy kegs. We were told when we booked that we only had to pay for what was drank- if a keg wasn't tapped we wouldn't have to pay for it. Then a week before our wedding when we ordered the kegs we were told that we had to pay for ALL alcohol ordered even if it wasn't drank, AND we were not allowed to take it with us. So, we ended up ordering just about the right amount but Timber Ridge did get 5 bottles of wine on us. Just be sure when you're ordering alcohol you know exactly what you need!
Overall, Timber Ridge was the perfect place to spend our special day. The people are nice, the facility is beautiful, and the food was delicious. Before booking at Timber Ridge we visited MANY banquet facilities in the area and I believe this to be the best.
