Doug was a phenomenal DJ and person at our reception. He met with us before the wedding to discuss our preferences and followed them exactly. He also helped us with other things such as dismissing tables to eat for our buffet-style dinner. His process for ensuring a successful day is methodical and detailed so we felt like we had nothing to worry about. His price was very fair compared to other options in our area (eastern Iowa). His understanding of the crowd energy was great and he was a fun emcee to have for our introductions. Overall, Doug was very personable and flexible so our reception went exactly how we hoped it would. I would highly recommend Doug to be a DJ at anyone’s wedding if they want to ensure their music tastes will be respected and their ideal reception will be realized.

He noticed things needing slight adjustments during the evening and offered suggestions to help get things moving. 3. The song choices were perfect. He used our requests, helped manage guests requests and even followed our do not play perfectly 4. During the ceremony he adjusted mic volumes as needed and was able to help Que our bridal party in. ept everyone on the dance floor all night! The reason we removed 1 star was because we had 12 uplights in our contracted price (which were also discussed at our pre-wedding meeting) that he did not set up nor explain why this was not done. Also, there was some mild irritation with him surrounding our cake cutting. We told him we were planning to cut our cake, he announced the event to the group, and then disappeared. We had a song we set to play during and couldn’t find him to ask him to start it so we just proceeded without to keep the night moving. Otherwise, he had a good party going.

k at my notes, I did see that I agreed to provide up-lighting, but the room was very bright and I didn't feel it would have been noticed. I do not charge for up-lighting. The room was so bright, that the custom monogram that I had made for you was barely visible until the dance started. I payed $75.79 for the steel custom monogram and did not charge you for it. Also, looking at your event planning sheet, there was no song listed for the cake cutting on the information sheet, or request list. I was there the entire time. I checked with the photographer, then announced the cake cutting to the crowd. I understand that there is a lot going on at a reception and I did not have time to explain the lighting situation. I always strive to go above and beyond for my clients and appreciate your explaining of the four-star review.
