I love getting to know my couples, learning their unique tastes and guilty pleasures and turning that into a wild dance party. It's a joy to see a roomful of people going crazy, singing along, having a blast. And while I've been known to make it happen with just my guitar/vocal solo act, with the power of One Love behind me we're unstoppable. - Melissa RodnonManaging DirectorMelissa is a native New Yorker, a graduate of Wesleyan University, a former ballet and modern dancer, and has worked in performance and event production for over 25 years. In 1999, Melissa was one of the founders of an award-winning theater and performance organization in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, just as that area was starting to explode. There she produced a monthly showcase series for new work, with dozens of performers and hundreds of audience members; she also supervised the production of annual galas and larger performance events, overseeing everything from tech to publicity to customer-facing audience experience. As her dance career came to its natural close, she met Eric Nicolas, a brilliant songwriter, guitar player, singer and bandleader. He introduced her to Brazilian music, and after her first trip to Brazil to study percussion – and specifically the pandeiro, now her main instrument – Eric and Melissa formed an acoustic duo that is still the beating heart of One Love. After assisting Eric for a few years with the production logistics for his club date band, Melissa officially became the band’s production manager in the mid-00’s. When the band separated from their agency representation in 2017, Melissa took the managerial helm and has been navigating One Love Music, LLC to successful waters ever since. She handles not only the company’s business finances, insurance, marketing, branding and development; she is also the production manager for every single event One Love does, working closely with event planners and venue managers. She runs the Westchester office and a satellite HQ in Greenport, LI.

From the very beginning, their communication and availability were outstanding. Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but the band made this part of the process feel easy and exciting. They were always responsive, open to ideas, and willing to jump on calls to talk through details. It never felt like we were just another booking—they genuinely cared about making our night perfect.
One of the things that really stood out was the depth and versatility of their song list. It felt like they could play *anything*, and not just play it, but truly perform it. Whether it was classic rock, modern hits, or unique cultural touches, they had it covered—and at an incredibly high level.
What really took things to another level, though, was how much effort they put into our special requests. We had a very specific vision for our entrance—something totally unexpected—and they leaned all the way in with us. We had in-depth conversations about pulling off a full-on metal entrance with “Kickstart My Heart by Motley Crue” and they absolutely nailed it. The energy in the room exploded the second they started playing.
Our first dance was just as meaningful, and again, they went above and beyond to get it right. Their rendition of “Thank You by Led Zeppelin” was beautiful, emotional, and perfectly tailored to the moment. It felt incredibly personal, not like a standard cover at all.
And then… they somehow kicked it up *another* notch. Bringing in a second guitarist, Guy Valic, was one of the best decisions we made. His playing added this insane, face-melting rock edge that elevated the entire performance. You could feel it in the crowd—people were blown away.
Another highlight was their Irish fiddle set, which was such a fun and unique touch. It brought a completely different energy to the dance floor and meant a lot to us and our families. It’s not something you see at every wedding, and they executed it flawlessly.
By the time the night really got going, the dance floor was absolute chaos—in the best possible way. Packed from start to finish, nonstop energy, people singing, jumping, dancing like crazy… exactly what we had hoped for. They didn’t just play music—they created an experience.
If you’re looking for a wedding band that will truly partner with you, take your vision seriously, and then exceed it in every way, OneLove is it. They didn’t just meet expectations—they completely blew them away.

dreams come true, and that's no exaggeration. Guests were dancing the whole time as we always hoped, appreciating the talented musicians passionately delivering our favorite songs across genres.
Like many couples, my wife led a lot of the planning, but when I was searching for NYC area bands for our wedding, I came across YouTube videos of One Love playing some of my favorite classic rock songs and could tell their passion for music would be exactly what I always dreamed of at my wedding. They earned immediate personal bonus points for being based out of the East Village, where I used to live.
Eric and Mellissa were amazing to work with, and we immediately knew we were in trustworthy hands. They made all of our requests come true like a rocking rendition of Rosalita, letting my wife sing along to Everlong, and our first dance to Grow Old With You from Adam Sandler's Wedding Singer.
Huge thanks to One Love for making our day so special and a major reason why we'll never forget. So many songs have new deeper meaning to us now thanks to you. We're so happy and proud to be able to see your live shows when playing in the area!

From the moment One Love started the pre wedding music with the violinist and the leader of the band, Eric, on guitar to the last song, everything that the group did was so perfect...
. What a great band. The 3 vocalists were so good and so versatile. They can handle any style from standards, to disco, to more modern. And they do it with such polish and style. The horns were great. Eric and the violinist are perfect together. Drums and bass hold everything together. They did a great job of getting everyone on the dance floor. This was a relatively small venue, but they had a good sense of that in terms of the volume. I can only imagine what they would sound like in a larger venue. I am the father of the groom, and I helped select One Love. We listened to a lot of demos and talked to a number of groups. One Love stood out because they were unique in their polish, sophistication and versatility. They do not sound like a generic wedding band. Eric is a superb musician and professional. Also working with them has been extremely easy. I could go on and on. One caution. If you hire them, and you absolutely should, I might just show up.

think I will ever work with a more fantastic set of musicians in my lifetime. Melissa and Eric were professional, funny, and just flat-out talented. They took our jumbled, frantic vision of what we wanted and brought total clarity (and most importantly, VIBES). They say they are all the about the music, and that's exactly what they are. We were completely blown away at our wedding music from the ceremony to the reception, all the way to the afterparty. To this day, I still have friends and family come up to me and talk about how much this band changed their lives as much as ours. We hope to find an excuse to work with them again!

ric and Melissa tailored the music selection, instruments and vibe just for us. We wanted an upscale, jazzy feel to our event and One Love was able to curate a specific ensemble just for us. The pricing was absolutely fantastic and they put us well within budget, which was great.
Our guests had one consistent comment throughout the night: “Wow, where did you find the band? They are really amazing!” Even after the event the comments continue to center around the band. Don’t get me wrong, the venue and the food were also simply unbelievably great (probably the most beautiful venue in New England!) but One Love received “alllll the love” from our guests.
I highly recommend this band if you are looking for talent that is top shelf and even more importantly nice people who are truly concerned about delivering exactly what you are asking for at your event!

tial call with Melissa and Eric. My husband led the call who is a MAJOR music enthusiast, and could not stop talking about how great of conversation he had. Melissa and Eric are profound professionals of what they do. We built a relationship with them where they could really get a feel for the overall vibe we were looking to achieve at our wedding, and man did they deliver.
If you are looking for the non cookie cutter type of band to have at your wedding, look no further. The professionalism, passion, and just overall talent is so impressive. Our guests kept saying they didnt feel like they were at wedding, but an actual live concert.
We are forever grateful for there ability to adapt and help us put together the best song list that really described our love for music and kept everyone on the dance floor.

Our guests could not stop raving about how incredible the band was and how much fun they had while dancing the night away. It was very important to me that we chose a band who could pivot their playlist depending on the energy and vibe of the crowd - and Eric-middle-name-Pivot did not disappoint! From our very first interaction, Melissa made the process seamless. Her communication was prompt and thorough, ensuring we felt confident in our choice. She took the time to understand our wedding vision and musical preferences, which were quite specific. After a great conversation with Eric, the band’s leader and primary frontman, we knew we were in good hands. Eric's enthusiasm and musical knowledge resonated with us, and his recommendation of Guy as our lead guitarist proved perfect—Guy was absolutely incredible.

guest was raving (and still is) about all of you. We can't tell you how many times we've heard "I have never seen a horah that amazing in my life!!!!!" The level of personalization and care you put into our wedding was truly unbelievable. Eric, you really could pass as an Israeli singer any day, or James Taylor for that matter!! We can't wait for the video just so that we can hear your music again!!! The ceremony music, our parent dances, the horah, the Chef's table tribute, Elton John, the list just goes on and on... every single song was unbelievable!!
Melissa and Eric treated us with the utmost first class service from day one. Melissa was extremely attentive to emails and texts (even when on the road), and even with some very last minute requests. Eric went above and beyond to personalize our wedding -- and make meaningful tributes wherever he could. Eric took dialect lessons the WEEK before our wedding to ensure a perfect performance of a song in Hebrew we had requested. A huge shout out to Katya who also went above and beyond, learning Vivaldi at the very last minute... The list goes on and on. “One Love” is a boutique music company with a manager that also performs in the band. We used their musical talent throughout the entire event including during the church ceremony, during cocktail hour and at the reception. Eric was just spectacular at the church, just beautiful. Cocktail hour, with the addition of a couple more band members, was so lovely and then the full band of eight for the reception made for a simply amazing wedding experience. The group willingly learned a several songs and executed beautifully. The dance floor was hopping from the start of the wedding reception until the very end.
Melissa, the manager, was so great to work with. Our wedding was a tent wedding with everything having to be brought in. Melissa was invaluable in guiding us to the appropriate size stage needed, as well as some more economical options. She was readily available to answer questions that I had.
Everyone who attended the wedding just raved about “One Love”. We would highly recommend this band to provide the best wedding experience ever!!!!!

The ceremony music of the violin and guitar was so beautiful-it was magical. The jazz trio in the cocktail hour was just perfect. . The dance floor was packed all night and the energy was off the charts. We have been getting such compliments about the band.
It is almost 2 weeks and we are still getting feedback about the best wedding band. From our first zoom meeting with Melissa and Eric to our last minute details -the attention they both paid to detail was phenomenal -you can't go wrong using "One Love" at your wedding. Their wide-array of music choices allowed us to tailor our playlist to the genres/songs that we wanted to hear. It was evident that they had incredible musical knowledge and were able to take our preferences and build out a cohesive playlist that flowed perfectly throughout the entire night. Most importantly, their performance was INCREDIBLE! They brought amazing energy and truly made our reception an unforgettable experience. One Love's musicians seemed to be able to play anything in any style. Melissa, the manager, did a wonderful job communicating with the bride and groom and parents before the wedding. She and Eric helped the bride and groom select/create a personalized playlist. Our experience with One Love was excellent from start to finish. As MOG I can only comment on the budget for Friday night; the cost was very reasonable, especially given the quality of the experience.

ringing our musical vision to life. I heard a lot of brides say something like "don't expect your band to actually play what you want," and this is absolutely NOT the case with OneLove. They completely tailor the experience and the music to your vision, and they executed it to perfection. We had two ceremonies and a reception at the Ocean House in Westerly RI. OneLove provided music for the entire weekend. The ceremonies very different vibes - one Jewish ceremony with traditional music; one secular ceremony with Beatles and Taylor Swift; and the guitar/violin duo for both had everyone in tears. For our wedding party, they were extremely accommodating for some special requests, including a guest singer for our first dance; an acoustic performance; and working with a prerecorded medley for the father-daughter that they faded seamlessly into their own set at the conclusion of the dance, completing my vision for the moment perfectly. What I loved most about working with OneLove is how much they emphasized the flow and mood of the evening. They reacted do dynamically to our guests while never losing sight of our vision. Their singers for each song are chosen for their ability to match the style of iconic hits, so you basically feel like your favorite artist is singing the hits live for you. All of our guests were RAVING about the band afterwards, truly we heard it nonstop. I can't recommend OneLove enough for their consummate professionalism and truly epic performance.

Throughout the planning process from the very beginning, One Love worked closely with us to brainstorm our music goals, fine-tune our set list and first dance requests, and then beautifully executed everything!!! In addition to our reception music, One Love organized beautiful acoustic music for our garden ceremony with guitar and violin, coordinated the music timeline with our catering team with incredible detail, and provided so much reassurance for us leading up to and on our wedding day. They learned and played multiple songs just for us, including for parent dances and our ceremony music -- they are so committed to making your wedding entertainment fully personalized and exactly what you envision. We wanted a party that was full of great dance music and amazing vibes in which our guests would be rocking on the dance floor all night – and they were! Whenever we needed help with a special song, Melissa and Eric were quick and helpful to recommend some great choices.
Not only were Melissa and Eric so easy to work with, helping us craft the perfect set list and tone of our wedding, but also the music and talent of the band was just fabulous. Guests were coming up to me during the wedding asking, “Who is this band? They are the best music I’ve ever heard at a wedding!”

We did not have the opportunity to see them play in person but we did watch them on YouTube, read there impressive reviews and decided to hire them! We are so happy we did. Not only was the music amazing, they helped us to create a schedule for the day that kept the energy going through dinner. They were happy to hop on as many calls as we needed leading up to the day and were incredibly responsive. So many of our guests came up to me on the dance floor to scream in my ear "this band is amazing how did you find them!?" If you want a packed dance floor, just hire them.

They played a slowed down version of our favorite Red Hot Chili Peppers song as our first dance and I’ll never forget it. Planning and coordinating with them was seamless and stress free. The biggest feedback we’ve gotten from guest is “OMG YOUR BAND.” Everyone was still dancing up until the last minute. They brought the energy in the best way.
