ld be my planner and designer. An all-in-one experience, Tanya with Graceful Designs is personable, courteous and accommodating. She helped work with my now husband and I’s budget in what other vendors told us would be a costly landscape. She made time for us on weekends and late evenings to navigate our busy schedules, keeping us organized and on a timeline that allowed our wedding plans to come together in a year’s time. Even as we were in different states, her in Virginia hours away, and us in D.C., if there was ever a worry or concern we had, Tanya was always just a phone call away. She also brought a level of expertise and experience from her more than two decades in the business. When we needed a photographer, to us one of the most important pieces to capture our memories, she found the perfect match. I could go on and on about how she’s not only a planner, but also a masterful decorator and designer, which put us at ease since we didn’t have to hire anyone else for that. On the wedding day itself, her and her team provided us with a personal assistant, who was incredibly helpful in making sure everything went smoothly that day as we juggled between our ceremony and reception venues, even driving over an hour away to pick up some forgotten tuxedo items. One of the compliments we kept hearing that day was how our wedding started right on time. That’s because Tanya had the day running on schedule, following the plans for the day that she helped us craft together well in advance. She was the one who found us the most gorgeous reception venue that our guests couldn’t stop taking pictures of. And to end our special day on National Slurpee Day with a hit, she got us our own personal slurpee vendor, who served out our favorite flavors. Tanya designed custom columns with flowers for our ceremony held at our family’s church, and her work was so spectacular, that the church requested that she recreate permanent versions of them for their services, so our wedding day truly had a lasting impact. To put it simply, Tanya with Graceful Designs was an answered prayer. Her heart is in the name of her business.

y sorority sisters. From start to finish, Tanya was the definition of patient, thorough, kind, and creative. I came to her with a big vision and a lot of moving parts ( four events across our wedding weekend in different locations and nine vendors!) and she brought it all to life flawlessly.
Every detail felt intentional and beautifully executed. The florals were stunning, the decor was beyond what I imagined, and she made the entire process feel seamless and stress-free. I woke up on my wedding day able to have such fun girl time with my bridesmaids because I knew she had every detail handled!

During our menu tasting, they asked thoughtful, detailed questions that we never would have considered ourselves. Their attention to detail made sure that every aspect of the meal reflected the bride and groom’s vision and that no detail was overlooked. When it came time to make decisions with the rental company, they were right there with us, guiding the selection of tablecloths, napkins, and plates so that everything came together beautifully. Their eye for design and practicality was invaluable in making choices that were both elegant and functional.
On the wedding day itself, their presence was truly a gift. They made sure my daughter could relax and enjoy her day without stress, handling all the behind-the-scenes details so the celebration could unfold seamlessly. Thanks to their coordination, the ceremony began right on time, which set the tone for the entire event. At the end of the night, when most families are exhausted and overwhelmed, they remained calm and helpful, ensuring that all of our belongings were gathered and everything was cleared from the venue on schedule.

Graceful Design decorated the Church and the Riverview Centre’ Water’s Edge space with, elegance. The bride’s vision of roses were brought to life by Graceful Design.

sure it was what we wanted, never trying to force anything on us and only wanted us to showcase ourselves as best possible. The staff was awesome in setting up and serving, guest told me how they were never waiting for anything to be refilled or picked up. Tanya also was able to get in contact very easily to make sure things were going as planned or if needed any changes. Would highly recommend for any event but especially a wedding because took a bunch of the stressful things and turned them into a beautiful event.

e had already rescheduled our formal wedding due to the pandemic but decided to still get married on our original date a few days before. I decided I wanted a videographer the day of my wedding and Tanya made some phone calls and found a vendor. This was not just any vendor but a premier wedding vendor, just like Graceful Designs. When I first began wedding planning, I admired Tanya’s work from afar on social media. Sh...
e would be too expensive for us. Surely she would be booked. I didn’t want to get my hopes up. After meetings with two other decor companies, my coordinator scheduled a meeting with Tanya. When I met with her at her showroom, I was blown away! First of all she was warm and friendly and felt like my fabulous auntie! Second of all the pieces she had on display were phenomenal. Something for every taste, but everything was high quality and in like new condition. As I talked with her about my vision, she asked questions to make sure she understood my likes and dislikes. I could tell just from the questions she asked that she would be able to execute. And boy did she!!
I thought I knew what to expect, but Tanya outdid herself. Not only did she execute my vision, but she also included elements that I had no idea I wanted, but were just the right touch! And did everything with a smile and most of all grace!
Tanya created the bouquets for me and my bridal party and they were fantastic. I had meetings with other florists and one of them gave me a sample bouquet to take home. The bouquet that I got from Tanya was far superior. It was robust in color and substantial in weight without being overpowering. She even included a special photo of my deceased mother that I gave her.
Every piece flowed to the next. From the flowers to the centerpieces to the candles. Nothing was overdone. Everything was in just the right proportions to fill my large space. And everywhere I looked there was a surprise that Tanya threw in, knowing that it would be the perfect finishing touch!
I won’t have another wedding, but the first chance I get to have Tanya style my decor again cannot come soon enough!
