As the Founder and Creative Director of MBD Events, J’Mai creates elevated, highly personalized celebrations throughout Augusta, Georgia and the surrounding region. Her approach combines creativity, intentional planning, and an uncompromising attention to detail to transform spaces into experiences that feel as meaningful as they are beautiful. MBD Events has evolved from its beginnings in custom balloon décor into a full-service event design and décor studio specializing in weddings, milestone celebrations, corporate events, and special occasions. Today, the studio’s work includes custom backdrops and installations, draping, florals, tablescapes, specialty rentals, statement décor, balloon artistry, and cohesive visual concepts designed from the ground up. J’Mai’s background as an engineer and corporate leader brings a distinctive perspective to her creative work. She pairs artistry with structure, approaching every event with the same focus on quality, organization, execution, and the details that turn a beautiful concept into a beautifully executed experience. But no two MBD Events celebrations are meant to look the same. J’Mai begins with the people at the center of the celebration, learning their story, personal style, priorities, and vision before developing a design that feels distinctly theirs. Joel brings a fresh creative perspective to MBD Events, supporting event styling while capturing the details and moments that bring each design to life. Through photography and videography, he helps document the finished experience and tell the visual story of MBD Events.
