Brooke & The Nice Things

Brooke and the Nice Things were THE best wedding band we could ever have asked for. They were so fun, great MCs and kept everyone dancing all night. We got more compliments on our band than anything else at the wedding. We seriously cannot say enough nice things about them -- a truly incredible band!

We saw Brooke and the Nice Things perform at Untitled and we’re so excited to find that they perform at weddings! We booked them for our Oct 2020 wedding and had to postpone due to Covid, but the band was so easy to work with, and performed at our Oct 2021 wedding instead. The performance was fabulous (obviously) and coordination was a breeze!

We hired Brooke and the Nice Things nearly two years ago for our wedding, which got delayed by the pandemic like so many others. They kept in contact with us, were very flexible about the forced reschedule, and were extremely easy to deal with. We already knew they rocked, as we'd initially seen them perform at Entitled and became completely obsessed with them. I still can't believe we got them to play our wedding. They did an outstanding job. Our guests were blown away by how great the band was and its been a frequent topic of conversation in the days that followed our event. Brooke and The Nice Things are FANTASTIC! I hired them for a wedding I planned in July of 2021 and they did an amazing job. I would absolutely recommend them and can't wait to hire them again in the future! They are so professional, organized, talented and high energy!

We really can't recommend Brooke & The Nice Things enough. I know that I may be biased because it was my own wedding, but I really think they were the best wedding band I've ever seen. The dancefloor was packed all night and people couldn't stop talking about how good the music was. They aren't your cookie-cutter wedding band -- they are seriously good musicians with an awesome set list and cool vibe. The band was also super helpful, professional and easy to deal with in planning the wedding. 10/10 homerun wedding band.

First, Brooke is an absolute heavenly creation from above. Her vocals are still being talked about amongst our attendees and although she probably wishes they had a couple of other singers ... having her sing every song of our wedding was one of the greatest joys (and honors) of the night. It was like being at a live concert but it was our wedding! That said, this band does have a HUGE differentiator and that is their level of SERVICE! Details below! Full-time manager: they have a fully dedicated manager, Steve, who is unbelievably responsive and manages all of these little details on behalf of the band so things go smoothly. 5 "learned" songs: the band promises to learn up to 5 songs for your special day so we chose Mirrors by Justin Timberlake for our wedding song, Girl on Fire by Alica Keys, and a number of other ones that they had no problem making sound amazing. Flexibility: I wanted to do "hype up" song where we played Jock Jams and threw out T-Shirts w/ my wife and I's Homecoming picture printed on it. After this, I wanted to get the dance floor PACKED and Brooke to belt out 3 songs to get the party popping before dinner. Not only did they agree but they were just as EXCITED as I was to get the party moving & shaking. That pre-party was one of the most fun times of my life and thanks to BNTNT it happened amazingly. Connectedness: Per my last example, it was obvious that this band cared about who they were playing for and wanted to do their best. They drove 6 hours from Chicago, got their early, setup in the rain, and still played their hearts out until 1am even though they had a show in Chicago the next day. We'll always love every person in this band and especially Brooke and Steve! Thank you again!

In 2013, my wife and I were set up on a blind date at a BNTNT show. Just over 3 years later they played at our wedding. To this day we still receive compliments about how great BNTNT were and how special it made our wedding. Be sure to greet all of your guests prior to the start of the music or you will need to find them on what is guaranteed to be a very crowded dance floor.

We had BNTNT play our wedding in Chicago and couldn't be happier. Working with Brooke and Steve (the manager) was a piece of cake. The run-of-show was smooth and the band brought the house down during the party. All of our guests commented on how great the band is. We had them form a jazz trio for a cocktail hour and had the whole band for a 3 hour reception. They even learned 5 requested songs outside of their song-list to make the night even more special. Book them if you want your wedding to be the best event imaginable.

Every guest at the wedding has told me it was the best band they have ever heard. Brooke's voice is unbelievable and the band plays with such an authentic energy - I've never seen a dance floor so alive before. Steve was easy to communicate with throughout the entire process and always professional. Hire this band - they will transform your dance floor and make the night *even more* unforgettable for you & your guests.

They are INCREDIBLE! I highly, highly recommend. We heard this multiple times from friends / family at our wedding: "That's absolutely the best band I've ever heard at a wedding." Brooke is amazing. They are far far above the traditional wedding band. I'm looking forward to seeing them live soon. And from the operations standpoint, no one is better / will put you more at ease than Steve. He is on top of things and makes sure the timing of everything is perfect. 5/5 Stars absolutely.

First thing I want to say is that the wedding day occurred in a snowstorm. Brooke & The Nice Things showed up early with big smiles and lots of energy. When it came time to dance, they put on a show! Some slow, some fast, some classics, bluesy, R&B with lots of heart and soul. Everyone at the dance raved about Brooke & The Nice Things. Best wedding dance ever.

We hired Brooke & The Nice Things for our July 2017 wedding and could not be happier we did so. We saw them perform at our friends wedding in 2016 and we loved them. Working with Steve and Brooke was really easy, they were great communicators and made everything clear. When the wedding day came it was flawless, they are professionals so they set themselves up and do all the work. You or your wedding planner won't have to worry about them at all. Their actual performance was awesome, Brooke has a great voice and the whole band is great. They have an awesome list of songs, we got a lot of compliments about the wedding band. My wife and I have recommended them to others we know planning.

Booking Brooke & The Nice Things for our September 2017 wedding was one of the best decisions we made and one of the easiest parts of the planning process. We knew we didn't want a traditional wedding band. We wanted a band that was more unique, fun, and steered clear of cheesy wedding music. Brooke & The Nice Things completely nailed the vibe we were going for. Working with Steve and Brooke leading up to the wedding was seamless. They were very responsive and helpful every step of the way. They provided us with a list of songs and we selected the setlist. They also let us choose 5 songs outside of their list that they'd learn and play on our day. That was so above and beyond. We chose a first dance song they weren't familiar with but they learned it and killed it. Seriously. I have goosebumps now just thinking about how perfect it was. Brooke is an absolute star. And the band rocked it too-- you could tell they all wanted to be there and they made the party a blast. I would book them again in a heartbeat!!

This was one of the best decisions of our wedding. My husband and I were very serious about the music quality -- and had trouble finding what would be unique, incredible and something that we would not regret in the slightest. Brooke & The Nice Things were an absolute HIT. They were professional and very accommodating while planning the playlist however the talent of Brooke and the rest of the band is unparalleled. I first heard Brooke and the Nice Things perform at my friend’s wedding in 2015. Their performance and the dance floor that it inspired remains one of my favorite wedding memories -- and being 31 with a lot of married friends, I have a lot of wedding memories. When my now husband and I got engaged, the first thing we did was contact Brooke and the Nice Things. As a testament of our love for them, we planned our wedding date around their availability. We are so glad we did. Leading up to our wedding, Steve and Brooke were incredibly accommodating and easy to work with. They were able to personalize their setlist to match our music preferences and took care of the logistics related to performing in our challenging venue. On the actual wedding day, Steve (the band manager) saved the day multiple times by stepping in and becoming an impromptu emcee. When it was reception time, Brooke and the Nice Things blew us and all of our guests away. What completely amazing performers and musicians! They managed to bring out dance moves from our most reserved, oldest Aunts and Uncles to our hippest friends and cousins. Now when my husband and I reflect on the favorite memories of our wedding day, Brooke and the Nice Things are on the top of our list.

Brooke and the Nice Things was one of the absolute absolute best parts of our wedding. Incredible music, authentic, and with a great vibe for the crowd; they freaking rocked it. This I the best band I've ever seen at a wedding, full stop.

Having live music at our Chicago wedding was an absolute must (our ceremony & reception were in a restored theater/performance space with an incredible stage). We had seen Brooke & The Nice Things perform about town a couple of times before we were even engaged and when it came to thinking about a band for the wedding we couldn't shake the idea of asking them. As soon as we reached out Brooke and and her team were so enthusiastic about the opportunity which made us feel so special. We easily came to an agreement re: song list (old soul, blues, R&B, all the classic love songs!) and they went out of their way to learn a new one or two on our request list. Our wedding was over two years ago and to this day our friends and family reminisce about our wedding night that the band -- the magic of which was practically created by them. Just the best, most kind group of humans we could ever have asked to be a part of our celebration.

WOW! Where can we start with our love for Brooke and The Nice Things?! We saw them at our good friend's wedding a month after getting engaged, and even though we had nothing but our date selected, we knew we HAD to have them at our wedding! So much so that I stalked them down while they were eating their dinner...Steve could not have been sweeter about giving me his card and telling me to give them a call on Monday. Fast forward to a few months later when we began to actually plan our wedding: both Steve and Brooke were very responsive and helpful in making our vision come to life for our reception. And boy, did they deliver! From playing an INCREDIBLE walk out song for our wedding party, to a perfectly timed version of Stevie Wonder for my first dance with my dad, to hit after hit that kept our guests dancing all night long!! I can proudly say that we received SO many amazing compliments on our wedding bands, and this comes from a group of guests in their early 30s who pretty much attend weddings every weekend. If you and your significant other agree on ONE thing during your wedding planning, it will be locking down Brooke & The Nice Things for your reception :) Just kidding, you will agree on more than one thing but booking these guys will definitely be the highlight of your wedding. We CANNOT begin to properly articulate how incredible BNTNT are. Their talent and kindness are unmatched and attendees from our wedding are still talking about their amazing performance two years later! Do yourself a favor and BOOK THEM. They are incredible human beings and the best musicians I have ever heard at any wedding. (From our big day, 4 other couples have booked ....and counting!) They are unreal and hands down the best you can get!! We love BNTNT and are so grateful for them and the fun they always bring to the dance floor!
