just knew we wanted someone that could read the crowd and keep them entertained. DJ Bruce nailed it. We had a diverse group of guests, and he found a way to keep the dance floor full all night. Bruce also did a great job executing the more structured parts of the event (processional, cocktail hour, announcements, etc.). We really appreciated the way he kept the day moving and the crowd entertained without distracting from the experience. Except for the times he was needed to make announcements or draw our guests together for some activity, he blended into the background and let the music do his talking.

kept the dance floor, everyone danced the entire night! He played every song we requested, which was kinda lengthy but other than that, he played what songs he felt best and kept the vibes going all night!! We had a mix of pop and country, the songs just flowed together so nicely. He’s such a genuine guy and loves what he does! I highly recommend using him as a DJ. He was very knowledgeable about our venue (Westside Inn), he knew where to set everything up. He was all set up and ready go exactly when we needed him to be!

We had only given a few songs for him to understand the vibe we wanted (which was different for cocktail hour, dinner and dancing portions) & Bruce nailed it. He had everyone on the dance floor the whole night! Even people we know that don’t tend to dance were dancing. We 100% made the best decision we could have by picking Bruce as our DJ. I think our wedding day would have been very different without him. Even talking with other vendors (day of coordinator, catering, photography, hair & makeup) - they only had amazing things to say about him. He made the process stress-free and is straight forward from the start.

DJ for our wedding and even considered picking the entire playlist myself. But early into our first phone call with DJ Bruce, all my concerns and need for control started to fade away. We instantly clicked, and I felt completely comfortable trusting him with such an important part of our big day. He took all our preferences to heart, and when the timeline got thrown off, he rolled with it effortlessly, keeping everything on track. DJ Bruce can read the room and made sure the dance floor stayed packed all night. We couldn't have been happier with DJ Bruce!

DJ Bruce was professional and responsive throughout our planning process, and his detailed questionnaire was so thorough that we felt very confident he knew exactly what we envisioned for our wedding day. He navigated everything perfectly, from our beach ceremony music and sound, to all of the announcements and special dances, and even our specific requests for setting up our surprise pool jump to end the reception! Throughout the reception, from dinner/cocktail hour to the dance floor, it truly felt like he knew our exact music taste because we loved every single song he played! And our dance floor was literally overflowing the entire night - if you want to make sure your wedding is good time, just hire DJ Bruce!

m playlist. He was more than up for the challenge—he mixed music together all night long. We were also thrilled to hear that he recognized our first dance song. He had people up and dancing during dinner and he kept the floor full to the end of the night. He even agreed to stay for an extra hour because our friends and family enjoyed the music so much. In the days following, our music loving family and friends have sung his praises. Even my 83 year old grandmother said that she didn’t recognize most of the music but still found it to be enjoyable! Highly recommend Bruce, don’t hesitate to book him!

My friends and guests commented on how awesome he was, we are so pleased with his work and will recommend him to anybody!! He was absolutely amazing and made our wedding day very special, from the wedding ceremony on the beach to the reception around the pool. The microphones and lights were a very nice touch. All of our guests loved the music and had a great time, hardly ever leaving the dance floor. His song selection was perfect, and tailored exactly to us and our crew. We actually extended his time another hour because we couldn’t get our family and friends off the dance floor. We received many compliments from everyone about how amazing the playlist was. We submitted our music selection about a month prior to the wedding. From our selections, DJ Bruce was able to understand the musical vibe we were going for and he was on point all night! We received many compliments from family and friends about how amazing the playlist was which was no surprise as the dance floor was crowded all night! Two friends told us they made a decision to leave the dance floor to go to the bar whenever a "boring" song came on that they didn't want to dance to... song after song was a hit and they had to force themselves off of the dance floor for a refreshment! Being that this was a destination wedding for us, we unfortunately didn’t get a chance to meet DJ Bruce in person until a few minutes before he introduced us at the reception, but he could not have been kinder. The ceremony music also went off without a hitch and contributed to there not being a dry eye on the beach! Overall, there is not one bad thing we could say about Bruce as a DJ or human being. He played a tremendous role in making our wedding day truly unforgettable and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking to get married in The Outer Banks.

He kept the ceremony music flowing effortlessly for the guests while they awaited us walking down the aisle, then transitioned to keeping the party rockin' all night long during the cocktail hour and reception. His wireless services were a must-have for us since our ceremony was up on the beach, and the sound through both the speakers and mic were so clear, even with the windy weather. He was so accommodating to our music choices that we wanted played and was the perfect announcer for our wedding party introductions. It was the best day of my life and we all had an absolute blast - thank you Bruce for being a part of our big day and making it so special!!!

t. He was able to find the exact versions of the songs I wanted during the ceremony and the music sounded beautiful and exactly how I had chosen it to be. The wedding party introductions went great after Bruce took the time to learn the pronunciations of everyone in the bridal party. DJ Bruce played each song that I had requested, and all of the guests had a blast. The music throughout the whole evening was exactly what we wanted, and everyone was up dancing all night. When the night accidentally ended early due to an impromptu in-your-wedding-dress pool party and the music couldn't be heard outside, Bruce offered us our money back for the last hour we missed while outside. Talk about service! We love DJ Bruce and can't wait to get back to the Outer Banks to find where he's playing and party again!

He made great suggestions and took requests night of. We got married during Hurricane Matthew and we never heard any doubts from him that he would be there. I think he even got stranded at our venue the night of the storm. He was amazing, and we're grateful for people like him who made our wedding possible.

when we realized our sound system set up needed to be adjusted for the ceremony- between him and Taylor, our wedding planner, the matter was handled and made for a fantastic ceremony. He also easily found some of our more Indie genre music selections and indulged the groom with his favorite NFL team chant. Bruce also came up with an impeccable song choice on the fly at the end of the reception when the crowd requested another song to continue their glowstick dance party. The dance floor was literally packed all night from the very first song after dinner until guests had to literally be kicked off the floor at the end of the night- I think that speaks volumes. Aside from a few specific requests, we really left the music up to Bruce (after all, he is the professional) and he totally rocked it. He had a great variety with classics like Frank Sinatra, to big crowd pleasers like "Shout", 80s, 90s, etc and even some Indie hits thrown in for the bride and groom- basically something for everyone. He knows how to read the crowd, pay attention to whats going on, and definitely work on the fly when needed. What else could you want from a DJ? Although, DJ for lack of a better term because clearly Bruce goes beyond the typical DJ duties and really was the anchor that kept the whole night going. Thanks you SO much for such a fun night that flowed so seamlessly! Would absolutely recommend Bruce to DJ a wedding or other special event!

From our first meeting, we discussed the music we were looking for, and the fact we wanted to avoid all cheesiness, as in no line dances, no cheesy introductions, just good quality music with a mix of oldies and new stuff, to get the dance floor going. He definitely delivered. He is young, knows his music, and very talented. The dance floor was packed, and honestly I don't think I stopped dancing for the last three hours, because every time I wanted to take a break, a song would come on that I would have to dance to, and well I was a sweaty mess at the end, but so happy! Everything flowed seamlessly, and he did an awesome job of announcing everyone and playing the role of master of ceremonies. All in all a fantastic party, thanks to BRUCE!

He didn't blink when the crowd asked for one last song at the end of the night, and then played something we hadn't even thought to request but is now my husband and my's special song.
