e footage was lost. This was a first for me and completely devastated, so yes, I hid a bit because it's embarrassing and was a tough situation. That I can't get around. I didn't offer a refund right away because I was still attempting to recover footage, but am never opposed to that if it comes down to it, which at this stage, I will be working something out. But to address other points, I feel that some of these were unnecessary attacks. I have not updated my pricing in at least two years, let alone recently. I tried to pull an archive from the internet archive site, but my site hasn't been crawled since an old version in 2012, and since then I switched to Squarespace hosting. My packages haven't been updated recently either. My base package starts at $2200, includes two videographers, and only a highlight video digital download. I customized a package for Laura that had only a single videographer, highlight video, full ceremony and full toasts videos available digitally (download and streaming). I brought this price under $2200, as well as included raw footage (which is not something I have listed on my site even or have ever included before). No DVD was included to keep budgets in mind, but I did say it was available if they wanted after post-production. A DVD is mentioned in my contract as saying it is available, but under the package details section, a DVD was not included. My contract also has wording about a secondary shooter, if one is included. I have wording to cover all scenarios, but the package details section calls out what is included. || A full-hour edit is included in my middle and highest listed packages ($2800 and $3800), but not in the first package, or what I put together for Laura. The full edit was not included in the package details section of the contract. || I've been using the same contract for many years and never had an issue or confusion like this until now. || Regarding style, if looking at the samples on my site, none of the highlights include sound during most of the footage, ceremony and speeches aside. I also use a fair amount of slow-motion shots, which is recorded in camera. Yes, a lot of the highlights include first dance and cake cutting footage, some more, some less, and of course this is something I regret being able to include. But I feel that Laura's highlight video was still on par with my other highlight videos, and still on on target with my time expectations (approx. 10 min). || To address reviews as well: I don't typically ask for reviews or use the Knot for many bookings. I'm not sure what the Knot does on its own for reviews, but I don't like pressuring couples for reviews, so there are definitely a lot of couples not represented. I also did take a break from shooting weddings for a couple years to work on other projects. So there is a gap because of that as well. || I apologize that my edit did not meet Laura's expectations, and that this went as unprofessionally as it did. I pride myself on being easy to work with, fair with pricing, and delivering a good product. I failed at many of those aspects on this one, deserve that one star, and I'm embarrassed, but for the appropriate reasons. I would be happy to provide any evidence I can to not having increased my prices or changed packages, or provide other highlight videos to demonstrate similarity in style.
