1314 Studio

I came across 1314 Studio by looking at our venue’s Instagram and seeing their beautiful work. We originally booked them in 2019 for our April 2021 reception, but when we had to move our date to December 2021 due to COVID, they were extremely accommodating and made the wedding planning process significantly easier. While we are waiting for our photos, I can say that they made the entire day a lot easier. As people who are very awkward in front of a camera, they made us laugh a lot and feel genuinely comfortable and ourselves. They showed us some pictures on their camera throughout the day and they were absolutely stunning. They also had a drone that we were also able to use to capture unique pictures and angles!! I highly recommend Khoa and the 1314 Studio team!

We booked Khoa for our engagement shoot and wedding day, and can’t express how happy we are with our photos and the whole experience. We trust Khoa to direct and pose us for any photo because he allows us to show our best selves and still look and feel natural. He is a master at catching the best lights and times of day. He and his team are definitely artists and you can tell when they get inspired by the light or surroundings – it gets us excited, too! The finished photos are beautiful and vibrant, which is the style we were going for. We highly recommend booking 1314 Studio. We received so many compliments on the photos and people even asked us if Khoa and his team take on family shoots (which they do!). On our wedding day, Khoa was accompanied by Abhi who is hilarious and also so fun to work with. We took photos at our venue, the church, and a local park. Khoa and Abhi took care of coordinating family and bridal party photos, as well. We didn’t have a wedding planner or day-off coordinator, but with Khoa, there is no need to worry about any logistics. If you do have particular requests, Khoa is so great at taking care of you. Regardless, I highly recommend allowing him some freedom to photograph you and your day as he wishes because he’s a pro and not only do all the shots come out looking amazing, but he and his team keep you feeling confident throughout the whole shoot.

A few weeks after getting engaged on April, 29, 2018, my fiancé and I started looking for a professional photographer to do our engagement pictures. I simply started Googling, “NJ Engagement Photographers” and 1314 Studio popped up. Being that it was the first link, of course I clicked it. Once on their page, the site was super easy to navigate and the pictures showcased were stunning! The contact information was also easily accessible, so I decided to reach out. Within 2-3 days, the owner, Khoa e-mailed back and we were able to schedule an appointment with him. Fast forward to 3 months later, in July of 2018, and we were getting ready to meet Khoa at the NJ Botanical Gardens. This is where we agreed to have our pictures taken and Khoa helped us bring our vision to a reality, effortlessly. Although, the day of, we actually asked if we could meet an hour earlier due to bad weather. Fortunately, Khoa was super flexible and he was already at the venue before we got there! When we finally met, Khoa was very friendly and down to earth. He was so easy to work with and made our experience genuinely fun and memorable. He also had a great eye and even let us see a sneak peek before sharing our pictures with us! The pictures didn’t take as long as expected to receive and we were extremely happy with the quality. Each picture was uniquely edited and there was a wide variety of shots. The overall theme was consistent with what we wanted, so we immediately booked him and his team for our big day! Our Wedding Date was set for August 10, 2019. Throughout the year, we kept in touch with Khoa and his team up until our Wedding. Every interaction was stress-free. Any and all questions we had were answered and even things we didn’t think of were brought up and thought through. On our actual Wedding Day, Khoa and the other team members were on time and ready to go! They knew exactly where to be and when, as they were already familiar with our venue. They also worked closely with us to set up a specific schedule since we chose not to do a “First Look” and stuck to it. Even though we had a Bridal Party of 27 people, they handled every aspect of our day tactfully. 1314 Studio worked hard to ensure our most special occasion was captured in its entirety and are Wedding Pictures are proof. To this day, Khoa and I still keep in touch. By choosing to do business with him and his company, I gained a true friend. I definitely plan on using him and his team in the near future. On a final note, I'd highly recommend this team of skilled individuals to anyone looking for photography and videography that’s affordable, professional, and reliable.

Khoa did a great job with our photos. He was communicative and easy to work with. Because it rained all day on our wedding day, we could not get any nice photos outside. Khoa offered to come back to DC all the way from Philly to take outdoor photos of us after the wedding. Those turned out great as well! You can't go wrong for the quality and price. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! My wife, Yari, and I could not be more pleased with Khoa and 1314 Studios’ work! Khoa was incredibly professional, very organized, and a dream to work with! Our family and friends enjoyed all interactions they had with Khoa and his team (which was very important to us). They truly captured every beautiful moment of our day, even the moments we did not realize at the time were worth capturing. We were brought to tears when we watch our wedding film! We cannot thank them enough for capturing our day exactly how we imagined and giving us such beautiful pictures and an emotional film to look back on. These guys are the best!!!! Definitely one of our favorite vendors for our wedding! We got to know Khoa during our engagement shoot and he was super friendly and easy to get along with! We even ended up grabbing beers with him after! My husband and I completely appreciated his efforts at capturing some great images but also for directing us with creative poses! We shot our pics in Harrisburg on a very windy day, but Khoa made it work! Khoa and his entire team with Marco as well, completely stepped it up when it came to our wedding day! These guys were on time, creative, courteous and mingled so well with our family and friends! Our wedding had a few “glitches” to say the least, but Khoa and his team adjusted to what was happening and helped us capture some of the best moments of our wedding day. Khoa was very quick at responding to all my e-mails/texts/phone calls and he really made the photography/videography part of the wedding a complete breeze. Even after the wedding day, he was easy to work with for our photos and editing process. If I had the opportunity to re-do my wedding, I definitely would pick 1314 studio for photography/videography. We can honestly say that during our wedding process, Khoa became a friend to us, not just a vendor! Our family and friend loved our highlights video and we can’t wait for our album! Khoa did amazing work at our wedding! He made our pre-ceremony couples shoot a ton of fun and I loved the creativity with which he utilized every bit of my sister’s place to stage captivating scenes. I was happy we didn’t have to go for a long walk outside the property to find interesting settings for the photos. My husband Matt was surprised at how much fun he had during the shoot, and Khoa had such a calming, positive, and professional presence we both very much appreciated. To top it off, he was highly entertaining! Big thanks to Khoa for putting every effort into making our wedding day special, and thank you to May as well for her helpful assistance!

We are so glad we chose 1314 Studio for our wedding. We first met Khoa at his studio in Central NJ and he was professional and well prepared for the meeting. He had materials, shot lists, and samples of his work all ready to go and show us. We decided to book him immediately after the meeting. Our venue was an industrial loft and we had asked Khoa if he had ever shot a wedding in that kind of venue before. Ideally, we would have preferred someone who was familiar with the space. Khoa had not shot in that type of venue before, but he took the time to go through his portfolio and show us samples of what could be considered similar. He explained to us how he would approach the challenges of shooting in a new space and we felt confident he would do a good job. On the day of the wedding, his team was on time and extremely nice. They also came very prepared! They brought the lighting and additional equipment to accommodate the space and we were very impressed. Khoa told us how to stand, pose, etc (we needed the guidance!) and he kept us on schedule. Many of our guests also commented that they barely noticed the photography/videography team were there, which is saying a lot since it is a small venue. We are very happy we went with 1314 Studio!

Loved working with the photographers and videographers. Top notch professionals that skillfully led us through the entire process. They stuck with us from the Vietnamese tea ceremony to the wedding ceremony to the wedding reception. Everyone was so friendly that we felt relaxed while taking photos and videos. I waited until we got the finished photos and the 5 minute highlight before I published a review. The results are even better than we imagined! I cannot thank 1314 Studio enough for capturing all the highlights of our wedding day.

Khoa and Marco were amazing to work with for our wedding video!! Our short clip and 5 minute video turned out much more astonishing than we had ever expected from our crazy long day of wedding(My family literally cried when they saw the video, that's how amazing the video was!!!!). Because of how busy our wedding was from the crack of dawn to the late hours of dancing, they've sent an another person to be able to capture the extra moments of all the joyous laughters, the ugly tears, and our crazy first dance! These guys are very down to earth and super super fun to work with!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!

We are beyond satisfied with Khoa and his team on the day of our wedding and our engagement photo shoot ! His wedding packages are affordable and of great value! Khoa was on time for our engagement shoot as well as the day of the wedding. He executed everything perfectly and suggested ideas for myself and our wedding party to pose. He made everyone laughed and had a good time while looking like a model! We are so happy when we got our pictures in due time and we got so many compliments ! Khoa, the owner lost my sister's wedding photos and video. He arrived late and missed half of her ceremony. On top of that, he was impatient and rushed us throughout the day. Khoa only gave pictures taken at the ceremony and nothing at the reception. He gave excuses for not having all the pictures ready. He ignored her emails and calls after 3 months. After 8 months not hearing from him, she took him to court and he was ordered to pay her back. Then she received a check in a much smaller amount compared to what he owed . So she reported Khoa to the clerk of the court's office and they sent the police to his house. A few days later my sis received all her money back. Now she doesn't have pictures to look back to one of her most treasured memories.

We wish we could give more than five stars to Khoa, Hendricks, and his team. They were just perfect. One of the common compliments from guests about our wedding had to do with how awesome our photographers were and everyone was asking where we found them. Their level of professionalism along with the artistic, unique, and personable qualities they brought in made it the best experience we could have asked for with a photographer. 1314 Studios exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend them for any event!

We loved working with Khoa! He made our rainy day feel full of sunshine. He helped us adjust our posture and find poses that showcased us in the best way possible. He came two hours early and stayed later than we asked him to, PLUS he completed a highlights reel for us (and our wedding guests) the day of the event even though there was nothing about that in our initial contact. Overall, Khoa was the perfect blend of serious and light hearted, and we really appreciated him being a part of our special day.

Khoa was absolutely fantastic! We were referred to Khoa and his team by a friend and it was one of the best decisions we made. He was so easy to work with and responsive. We both work long hours and would contact him late in the evening and would still get an immediate response. My fiancé and I had decided on a short engagement (6 months) and needed supportive and flexible vendors to pull it off. Khoa was so good at putting us at ease. My fiancé doesn’t like to be photographed and he had a lot of fun with Khoa. We loved our engagement and wedding photos. Khoa came up with lots of beautiful photo poses for us that were natural, romantic, and fun. We will cherish these photos the rest of our life. I had little knowledge about the wedding planning process when my husband and I started searching for venders for our wedding. When we stumbled on 1314 Studio’s website, there was a unique feel to the photos...there was life in them, they were not typical, not cheesy. So we went with our gut and set up a meeting with Khoa. We knew instantly that this was our choice for a wedding photographer. Khoa is born to be a photographer...he is creative, enthusiastic, passionate, and so professional. From our engagement photo shoot, creating the day of timeline, and to the wedding day, it was all so perfect. Khoa and Brian took the stress away during our weddingday...we had so much fun with the pictures and felt like celebrities. Khoa has a vision when he works with you, and it comes so naturally. Khoa and his team were great! They have a great website and it showcases their style beautifully. Khoa is very responsive via email, which is crucial when you’re planning a wedding. Our first meeting was at a Starbucks and he brought a laptop to showcase additional weddings that were photographed by 1314 and himself. We worked together on a timeline of the day and he put me at ease as my husband and I are not great in front of the camera. Our edited photos were provided to us timely and were fantastic! Everything was captured and then some! My only recommendation to future couples is to do an engagement shoot. We didn’t as we felt shy in front of the camera, but put that aside! It gives you an opportunity to know your photographer’s style and see how you act and look in front of the camera. And when you know what your assets are, your pictures will be that much better. Khoa and Brian, thank you for capturing our beautiful day and working with us to get those fantastic shots!

5 stars, more if I could!!! Khoa & team: friendly, approachable, professional. His images are clear, precise, bright & vivid. Here is our experience with 1314Studio. Before: We first inquired but couldn't meet in person, Khoa was flexible for phone call, along with Hendrick. As bride, you want to "know" your wedding team. We had connection right away, which continued through even after months after. He patiently listened to our wedding vision, gave helpful advice, and relayed all this information to the team. During: Punctual - Hendrick and team were all friendly and cordial, never intimidating. I was frazzled with H/MU, breakfast, first look, and overall mood/anxiety -- but once Hendrick was there, I immediately felt at ease. He coached me to pose like this/like that. Time to head to park for outdoor photos -- Hendrick drove groom & GM to get started, so the girls could have limo to ourselves and meet them at the park. What smart thinking! Arrival to venue: We needed someone who spoke Cantonese, and Hendrick's was perfect, not afraid to shout instructions in Chinese at our guests, at our request! Night flew by, and the whole team stayed way past the contracted time. It is important to note here that Khoa stopped by too, despite late at night, and booked elsewhere -- what kind of photog/team leader does that? THIS GUY! Dedication, passion, and commitment sums it up. Post-wedding: Khoa delivered ALL photos in less than 3 weeks. Photos were crisp, brilliant, sharp. Between Hendrick and the other shooters, they captured things like cocktail hour, that we did not get to see, so very thankful for that. Then, I decided to order two parents' albums; Khoa tirelessly helped arrange photos into beautiful leather albums. TL;DR: Please see for yourself and send an inquiry to 1314 & Khoa -- if they are available for your date, do not hesitate, BOOK THEM because you will have the best friendly team who will produce the most amazing photos for your wedding day!

Khoa was absolutely amazing! My bridesmaids and I are rather "awkward" posers when it comes to taking pictures but Khoa was very knowledgeable, helped guide us to the perfect poses, and really made our experience great! Our wedding photos came out great and we received many compliments from our friends and family. Definitely recommend 1314 Studio!

Great photographers, nicest people, beautiful photos. Khoa and his staff put my worries to rest when the wedding day came. They were very professional and yet considerate-- they didn't only take photographs of our wedding, but helped out our wedding. I'm very grateful. Loved them!

Khoa and 1314 Studio were so fun and easy to work with! Flexible and creative, they made our special day a great experience and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. The turn around to get our photos was very short and we were more than happy with the results! The best part is Khoa sends you all the edited photos on a flash drive so you have them at your disposal! We would definitely recommend 1314 Studio, especially with the prices Khoa offers!

This review is long overdue and well deserved! My husband and I got married in October 2016, and our photographers for the big day were Khoa Nguyen and Hendrick Moy. From the get go, these guys were so accommodating and considerate! The team over at 1314 studios always answered my emails in a timely manner, and my photographers were always super responsive as well. Khoa touched base with me several times before the big day, and each time, he actually listened to what I had to say. When I requested to meet with Hendrick, even though we live in different states, he made it possible to speak in person, which was important for me and my husband because we wanted to make sure we were comfortable around our photographers. On the day of wedding, both Khoa and Hendrick respected the fact that we wanted to try to stay on track with our schedule… but we all know that never happens with weddings! As crazy as the day got, Khoa & Hendrick made shooting with them super fun and never awkward. Also, we had incorporated some cultural traditions that they were so respectful about, and of which they captured so nicely. They’re such genuine, talented people, and I was so happy to have them photographing our wedding. The quality of their work is top notch, and their prices are extremely reasonable. Book them now! You won’t regret it!
