With an eclectic style that ranges from 60s favorites to classical instrumentals, 17 South Band has an extensive playlist at your disposal. Among other genres available are Motown, R&B, jazz, rock, 80s, and 90s dance music. These performers have the ability to adapt to any crowd and are more than happy to learn a new tune and professionally arrange it for your special day. This accomplished group can play for wedding ceremonies, receptions, cocktail hours, and rehearsal dinners. Professional sound and lighting are included in the wedding package and are operated by a qualified technician on the day. The music for my wedding was my highest priority. My amazing wedding planner, Mike, got me in touch with Chuck from 17 South band and he immediately went to work getting me a set list, price quote and answered any questions I had. We had a lovely conversation the day before the wedding to iron out any last minute details and he kept me laughing the whole time. Such a nice guy! The day of the wedding, they were quick getting set up and were absolutely professional while also being relaxed, friendly to all the guests and putting on an amazing show. The sound guy was amazing, too. My only regret is not having someone record the whole thing so I can listen to this amazing band over and over. They were perfect and everything I dreamed of for entertainment on the big day!

17 South is an absolutely fabulous band! They played for our daughter's wedding and all of the guests had so much fun dancing to their amazing music-young and old!!! I could not have asked for a better band--they are extremely talented and were very easy to work with throughout the wedding planning stages. Over a year later and we are all still talking about how awesome this band was! Thank you 17 South for making this a magical night for our daughter!

I saw 17 South at a fundraising gala and knew I had to have them at my wedding! They are great, and play a huge variety of music. They played jazz early in the evening, then packed the dance floor when the time was right!

I will start by saying, the guests enjoyed the band, and their music. It was at Francis Marion Colonial Room (amazing reception hall). Brides beware - why such the low stars- The manager came over to me during the 2nd break and asked for their check, my maid of honor was upstairs feeding her newborn. Manager told me they will not play again until they get paid (did not respect that a newborn needed to be fed). The band took over a 30 minute break (per contract was suppose to only be 15 minutes). My maid of honor found the manager and 2 other band members just hanging out in the lobby, and she paid them. Come 11 PM end of reception, the manager, came over and put his hands on my (the bride's) shoulder and was yelling at me that he was never paid. I found my maid of honor (who was 100% sober) and she explained to him that she paid him, and he starts yelling at her. My maid of honor found the 2 band members he was with, and they both agreed that she gave him the check (and they found it in his suit jacket). The band members informed us that this always happens. I will say majority of the band took advantage of the open bar, and were overserved. As a bride this was 1 of the worst ways to end a fabulous wedding night, band manager hands on my shoulders and yelling at my maid of honor, all because he was so drunk and did not remember. I would not recommend this band as contract was broken, they drank a lot of the alcohol, and put hands on a bride, and raised their voices.

17 South was the perfect band to perform at our wedding! They were fantastic and definitely got everyone dancing and having a good time - which was exactly what we wanted! They went to the trouble of learning a new song for the father & bride dance which was so sweet. They could not be a nicer group of men and very talented. I was told by many guests during and weeks after the wedding that they loved the band. I am so happy we went with them! They were truly fantastic and made our reception such a special event!

The band was amazing! So fun, upbeat, easy to work with, and great quality music! The price may be a little on the higher side, but they are worth every penny and are wonderful musicians. If you want a fun party/reception - this band is the way to go!

17 South put on an awesome show for our wedding reception. Everyone was on the dance floor when they were playing. I was a little disappointed about their lack of attention to detail (took long to call me back, didn't follow reception timeline exactly, took a longer break than they were supposed to) but overall, they were a great choice for our wedding

The band was very enjoyable to listen to and fun to dance along with. They were flexible and willing to learn a couple new songs as well as play off of cds/ipods for the special songs we wanted.;I think everything was great!
