Hello there, new friend! I'm McKenna, the person behind the camera and a hopeless romantic. I describe my photography style as candid, romantic, and timeless. My goal is to make a human connection with all my clients and deliver images that you'll love forever. I started 1828 Collective (eighteen twenty-eight collective) in 2016 after I realized that capturing relationships and telling love stories was my passion. Four years later I'm so in love with my job that I often forget I'm working. I find joy in capturing love, hearing about how you met, and everything in between. Some random facts about me: 1. I'm an Enneagram 6w5 so I'm always prepared for everything and will do anything for my couples! 2. I Travel! My favorite places to travel are the mountains, Charleston SC, and Nashville TN. 3. Sushi and poke are my ultimate comfort foods! Add a glass of pink wine and I'll be the happiest girl in the world. 4. I'm a morning person! We had the pleasure of having Mckenna as our wedding photographer and let me tell you, she was everything I thought she would be! I orginally found her on the knot and fell in love with her candid, vintage style of photography and had to have her for our big day! She is very down to earth and your biggest supporter through it all. Immediately after meeting her she made us feel comfortable and we jumped right into shooting. During our engagement and wedding shoot she directed us into poses that were so natural that you would've thought we had been in front of the camera our whole lives! The quality of the photos were so crisp and so colorful and I especially loved her editing style. We have so many wonderful photos that I'm now having trouble trying to choose which ones we want to hang on our wall ❤️ Mckenna was timely, professional and great to work with 10/10 would recommend her to anyone we know!

McKenna was everything we could hope for in a wedding photographer! What first stood out to us was her photography style and fair pricing, but upon meeting, we learned she's also a wonderful and easy person to work with. She gives such good direction for people who may not know what to do on camera besides smile. I'm also convinced she can make any setting (whether that be the top of a parking deck or the side of a building) look like a set that was meant to be captured. She was also one of few photographers I could find that includes an engagement session with a wedding package! As for the day of the wedding, she made the absolute most of our 8 hours together. Plenty of locations, a variety of candid moments, and great at directing a large family and wedding party. Once we got our gallery back, we were so pleased with the balance of portrait and candid photos. We'll be finding another reason to book with McKenna again!!

McKenna was absolutely wonderful to work with for our wedding. She made us feel so comfortable and has a fun personality that meshed so well into our day! Our photos are truly stunning and we have been getting compliments left and right about her incredible work. She has such a gift for capturing the little, natural moments throughout the day and those are some of my absolute favorite photos! I’d recommend her to anyone and would hire her all over again if I could!

We loved working with McKenna (& Bliss) so much! We are thrilled with all our photos and really feel like she captured our special day perfectly. Her energy was great & kept everyone feeling positive even during some photos in the sun. They were amazing hype girls and even helped rally people to keep the day moving along according to schedule. I cannot recommend 1828 enough!

McKenna is truly the sweetest photographer to work with! Her energy is so positive and happy and she makes you feel SO comfortable!! We did engagement photos at the beach and our wedding photos in the mountains with her, and she absolutely crushed both! She gave great direction for posing and allowed everything to feel very natural for us. We were laughing the whole time, and from the sneak peeks we've received, we are OBSESSED!!! She is the best to work with and I could not recommend her enough!

McKenna was incredible to work with right from the start! I knew from the initial phone call I had with her that we had to book her. Her candid photography style made it so easy for my now-husband and I to feel at ease, comfortable, and free to be ourselves. McKenna was the best!! The photography packages offered are robust and fairly priced. We picked McKenna for her vision and authentic/candid photo style. When we met, we knew we had made the right choice. McKenna is such a kind, friendly person who immediately puts you at ease. She was so easy to work with and made my husband and I feel so confident and comfortable during our engagement shoot and throughout the wedding. At the wedding, her assistant Bliss was also INCREDIBLE and highly recommended! McKenna is quick to reply to communication. I am so in love with the photos she has given me so far. I can't wait to see the rest!!

We could not love our engagement and wedding pictures more! From our first meeting with McKenna she got our vibe and made us both feel comfortable. We don't love pictures of ourselves but McKenna's shots captured our personalities and love for each other and made us feel so good. The only trouble is narrowing down which shots we want to get printed to display in our house! You will not go wrong with 1828 Collective and McKenna!

McKenna exceeded all of our expectations as a wedding photographer! She was so easy to communicate with. She made us feel super comfortable getting our pictures taken, and got so many amazing shots! She is super talented and got so many unique photos of us that we will cherish forever. McKenna was an absolute DREAM from our initial emails all the way up to the big day! She was very responsive, professional, and SO lovely to work with! We were nervous about getting professional photos done but she made the whole experience super fun and laid back. Our photos turned out beautiful and we have gotten SO many compliments from friends and family. She did such a great job capturing all of our special moments throughout our day and we are so thankful she was our photographer. 10/10 recommend for any photography needs - you won’t regret it!

McKenna and her team were absolutely amazing. I was the bride who did not want to stand around and take a million photos. When I tell you that they got in, got the job done and got us to the party, It was wham bam thank you ma’am and we got some AMAZING shots. These photos are pure artistry, I can’t believe it’s me in them. They are nothing less than spectacular and she didn’t miss a beat from the entire day.

I cannot say enough about how amazing our experience with 1828 Collective was! McKenna is an incredible photographer who was so fun to work with! The sessions were laid back and fun, and the pictures turned out beautifully. On top of that, McKenna was super flexible in the midst of the current pandemic. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, she was super helpful as we were trying to decide how to proceed considering the pandemic going on and, even though we moved the date up a week, she was still there and captured every moment. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!
